We took a risk outside of our normal practice since we're in a pandemic to sit down for a brunch. It was our first time going there and was unaware it's buffet style (which is something we no longer do) simply because we don't eat as much. However, it has a nice atmosphere, food taste good and the staff was wonderful.

Nice atmosphere, great crowd, nice ambiance... fun times!! Good music.. the staff is exceptionally nice.. David Herrera is a wonderful touch... if I do say so myself...

We enjoyed an amazing Thanksgiving dinner here. The buffet was well protected behind plexiglass and we were able to sit outside on their beautiful patio. It all felt safe!! The food was truly amazing! My husband said the turkey was the best he has ever had in a restaurant! We will definitely be back!

Haven't been to Blue Mesa for quite a while. I took my daughter for the brunch buffet to celebrate her birthday. It was a good experience! Mask were worn by servers, social distancing was followed, the food was fresh, they had people who served you the food that was on the buffet so no one else could touch it. The food was fresh and all of it was delicious! And who doesn't love unlimited mimosas?? I would definitely recommend this place for their brunch buffet. ❤🥂

Brunch was great. Food delicious ans fairly quick. The service was okay. Could have been better but our server was very friendly and had a good demeanor. Will go back.

My husband and I went to Blue Mesa for brunch today. The staff greeted us very kindly. The restaurant was set up in a very clean and safe way. The food was delicious. And our waitress Hanna was so kind. We will definitely be going back for another brunch.

Was really impressed with this place upon my first, second, and third coming around. But, yesterday's visit was out of sync. The waiter kept forgetting our orders and not checking to see if we needed a refill on our drinks. The social distancing was nice.

I really have been wanting to go to brunch for awhile and I'm so glad me and my bf chose this place. Brenda took such great care of us and the food/drinks were awesome! Can't wait to go back!!!! Thanks Brenda you're such a sweetheart!

Bad customer service. Very uncleanly. Employees here dont get paid on time.

Blue Mesa has the worst food. The salsa is too diluted and the guacamole had no seasoning, it was too drab. We did the Sunday buffet, there were 18 in my party at $27 per person. A real waste of money. The food was wasted because it was served cold and unseasoned. Absolutely nothing was seasoned or tasty. Some of us had the salmon. It was prettily decorated but it ends there. It was cold and did not have one grain of salt or pepper, or topped with a sauce. We couldn't eat it. I tried the ginger rice it was cold but fair. I had the chicken nuggets they were the size of marbles and fried hard, but fair. I asked for iced tea since I don't drink alcohol. The waiter said they don't have iced tea but they have a passion drink. He brought me a glass of liquid the color of blueberries. It had absolutely no taste. I added two packets of real sugar and it was still tasteless. Don't waste your money at Blue Mesa. I will never go there again! Reality, a one star rating is too high.

We, party of 3, arrived around 12:30pm (peak lunch), the entry smelled of strong disinfectant we waited several minutes to be greeted. The smell was a little off-putting, but the dining area was better. There were plenty of empty tables (so, not busy), but our waiter couldn't take our order fast enough. After just a bit, he says, can I get your app in and come back? After our app arrived he came back to take order. Offered no suggestions for the menu. The food (nachos, tacos & enchiladas) was mediocre at best. My daughter had ordered a tea - there were 2 on our bill. I told him about the mistake and when he came back with my credit card he had still charged me for 2 teas @ 2.95 ea! Horrible lunch, worse service - won't be back!

Atmosphere 10. Service 10. Food 10.

This place is definitely a great spot! From the moment you enter until the time you leave you are taken care of!

Two choices of salsa and you get hand cut sweet potatoe chips! Delicious!

Had the shrimp, steak and chicken fajitas! 10/10. Comes with guacamole and a fresh mango pico!

We waited a while for our waitress. We waited for drinks... another waiter had to bring them over and they were wrong. She dropped the salsa on the table causing it to splash on my white outfut. The food was less than amazing. His food had unpealed shrimp in it and my crab cakes had hardly any crab. The waitress was nowhere to be found and didn't seem to care. We will not be back.

The steak fajita was amazing! One of the best and juicest fajitas I've had in Dallas... Been meaning to go back for a while now to get some more goodness

What an amazing brunch! The flat rate for the buffet is a little high but when start playing the Brunch maze, you'll see how worth it it is. The Mimosas are the perfect touch and be sure to take your time and enjoy your Sunday on the patio! Everything is so fresh and replenished often so you don't feel like you're at a Golden Corral. Highly recommend.

Used to be a "go-to" place!. Tried the new location across Montfort last night. What a disappointment! The new location doesn't have the same authentic feel as the old location. Menus were dirty. Glasses were dirty. When we pointed out one dirty wine glass, they just poured the same wine in another glass, rather then bringing a fresh glass. We were the only ones in the place. (Sunday at 6pm) Lots of servers standing around. Phone rang more than once before someone got it. Servers were standing on bar removing Christmas decorations. Tortillas on my street tacos were stale. Didn't bring enough chips and salsa for our party size and for everyone to be able to reach. Server was not strong - a bit flaky - had been there since 8 that morning. Had to ask to order another beer rather than being offered. Had to move some plates to another table out of our way ourselves before they were removed. Then again, had to say 4 times I wasn't done with my plate (since the tortillas were so stale, I slowly gathered leftovers from everyone else to eat). We were getting such lackadaisical response, we were tired of asking for things to be corrected. Afraid they were going to spit in our food or something. I'm just so disappointed! I used to love this fresh, healthy, unique, Santa Fe-feeling , special place!! I've been eating at Blue Mesas for 20 years and have even held a couple of events at the old Addison location. Just a real bummer!

Ordered the street tacos. I wouldn't again. The meat was room temp, had no flavor and the veggies were aweful. Service was slow! Beer warm. Do not waste your time and money.

Terrible food and poor customer care. The food was cold and they reheat leftovers for brunch. The waiters rush you while you eat so they can make more money.

Catered lunch.... Had a Blue Mesa catered lunch at a work function, so while I could not give an opinion on the restaurant itself, I can still give one on the food...

Pro's: The cookie was good, delivered in a timely manner, chips had potential

Con's: Some of the chips were "soggy", chicken bacon wrap should have been more plain

When I picked up the chicken bacon wrap I expected it to be relatively plain. Instead there was a lot of avocado, which I am not a fan of. I do not believe there was cheese either. Some of the chips were soggy, though the ones that were not were really good. There was a TINY portion of macaroni salad, enough for one forkful, MAYBE two if you had a big fork. The cookie was good!

I know that Blue Mesa has outstanding breakfast buffet's, but their catering left something to be desired. It almost tasted like all the stuff was made the day before, allowing the chips and and wrap to become moist. It's a "do not like" for their catering, but might go back to this location to try their normal meals, and my opinion might change.

It's trendy and a place to be seen but the food is mediocre and expensive. There are better choices in the area.

Coming from South Texas, we were not familiar with this style. However, we loved it! Great alternative to 'traditional'. Wonderful flavor.

GREAT BARTENDERS. GREAT TEQUILA SELECTION GOOD TACOS. WISH THEY HAD REFRIED BEANS THOUGH

Did not enjoy the lack of taste within my entree...disappointed, really disappointed in this Mexican restaurant... To end on a positive note, the salsa and guacamole were both pretty good :-) The sweet potato chips were a nice surprise.

I swung in here because the name looked interesting, and had good reviews here. First, the favors were great, and the dark chocolate empenatas with cherries were amazing. However, as the manager explained they clean their own fish, and someone missed a bone in my red fish fillet. I some how managed to swallow it, and it got caught in my throat briefly. The staff was very nice, and took care of it accordingly. I'm leery now of the fish fillets, but everything else was good. Would go back, just won't order fish.

Last minute choice paid off. I wasn't planning on going here for brunch but at the last minute I decided to stay close to homebase and try it out. What a pleasant surprise. The staff was incredibly friendly and fun loving and the food was fantastic. In wish I had been bake to make room to try everything but what I did try was great. I will definitely be back!

Really?. We love living in Addison. One of the reasons is that we have such a huge choice of great eateries. Blue Mesa is NOT one of them. We have been there twice recently and both times it was horrible. How this place stays open is a mystery to me. I admit I am a food snob but this is not good. My wife and I will not go back. Two tries is enough for us. Seems many people enjoy this place. All I can say is "really?"

Great buffet, so-so regular menu. The Sunday brunch buffet is a great place to bring family and friends visiting Dallas, since there is nothing else in the US like it, in my humble opinion
The amount and range of tastes and dishes is outstanding, and service matches. Make sure you plan a long mall day, since you will need to walk to deal with the food.
Regular menu is ok, but pales when compared with the brunch.

Service was a little slow but over all great! Loved the chicken ceasar quesadilla!!

First stop. This is usually our first stop on any trip to the Dallas area. I've found the food to be really hit and miss in the past, but once I discovered to Adobo Pie and decided to stick with it every meal has been excellent. The last time we were there they had a monthly special - a meyer lemon mint margarita - that may have been the best mixed drink I have ever had. Love the queso and the mixed sweet potato and tortilla chips.

Super great Tex Mex. Street tacos = great! Good prices and good service too!

Best brunch in Dallas.. Been going to Blue Mesa for the past 10 years. Originally went for the brunch I had heard so much about. I found out quickly why it had won "Best Brunch" in the Observer time and time again. A lot of great items that are not your normal Tex Mex fair. Blue corn enchiladas, mijas, posole. Have only been to dinner once which was good as well.

Vegetarians welcome. I recently ate at BMG and I wasn't dissapointed. The restaurant has a separate menu for vegetarians/vegans and people with food allergens. My friend and I started with chips and salsa, BMG offers sweet potato chips along with their regular chips. I then ordered the vegetable sampler which was amazing. The adobe pie was excellent and so was the corn, asparagus and grilled sweet potato. The service was also great. I give them two thumbs up.

Great design, beautiful atmosphere. Parfait was one of a kind. Our waiter seemed stoned, but I got a free salad because of his forgetfulness! I would def go back next time Im in Texas

You have to get the beef tenderloin tacos! It just can't get any better, unless you want to try the flan cake. A perfect finish to an amazing southwestern meal. Their margaritas are well made too.

Not so much.... The food is bland and they try to do promos that are just TOOOO expensive with bland dishes and they put all sorts of catchy names on dishes that will disappoint you if you have the slightest bit of a sophesticated taste...I Personally Love Berryhill Baja Grill at Preston and Frankford in Dallas. Inexpensive, great food and kick a$$ margaritas and mojitos. Try the new Tostadas $4.99 your tummy will thank you for them, fish tacos are freakin' goood too. Tell them Tracie sent ya

My mother used to commend this place constantly because she went there several times for special occasions. Curious, I drove there with my friends and honestly, I don't know what happened. The food wasn't that great and it was awfully busy, which I don't care, but not if the food is bland. However, I do like to praise the service there. Our waitress was considerate and attempted to tend to us as often as she could even though she was really busy.

I drive many hours to go to Blue Mesa. I LOVE Blue Mesa - probably my favorite restaurant in the Dallas area. I live in OKC and actually drive the 3 hours down there just to eat Blue Mesa (well, and to visit family and stuff as well - meh). Everything I have ordered there has been absolutely delicous. The queso is so light and rich all at the same time. I love the sweet potato chips and fire-roasted salsa as well. Adobe pies are wonderful, as are their skewered meats. Goat cheese enchiladas were out of this world. Their Sunday brunch is fantastic - reasonably priced and has a very wide assortment of items, including all the guacamole you can eat. Great place.

Not my cup of tea.... Food either looks like it was made with play-doh or I am colorblind. Service good, food is so-so. Only saving grace is there brunch (Free Sangria).
