Delicious 🤤 My boyfriend had never tried out this restaurant, so we decided to give it an opportunity. He was so glad that we stopped at this place! I really enjoyed eating at this location as it was not packed. The food was fresh, and cooked perfectly. The waitress was excellent as well. She was so friendly and attentive to my boyfriend and I. She wanted to make sure we weren’t confused as to how their process worked. We each got the build our own bowl and packed it with chicken, shrimp, sausage, vegetables, sauces and spices, tofu… we just packed the bowl to the brim and enjoyed it with rice and noodles. Definitely recommend this restaurant and this specific location! Thank you!

We went here with coworkers and we thought it was a good experience. This is an Asian fusion restaurant located between Midway and Belt Line. Plate sizes are large, my advice is to go for the small plate as it's enough to satisfy a regular customer. I thought it was a bit more expensive than I expected but I guess that you pay for freshly prepared food. The dishes are cooked in front of you but depending on the time of arrival you could have a longer wait. They do have standard dishes if you prefer to have a quicker service

Salmon, BBQ & Cajun Chicken, Carne Asada, Steak, Onion, Potato, Black Bean, Tomatoes, Roasted Peppers, Bean Sprouts, and Mushrooms.
Noodle and Fried Rice were very low quantity.
Dragon & Korea BBQ Sauce
Medium Bowl $15.15.
Full for 6+ hrs
Food is fresh out off the grill. Flavors are sweet, tangy, and mild spicy.
Note: Small Bowl for take-out is sufficed.

Loved the Mongolian beef stir fry. Hard to find places that are healthy when going out for lunch. Give it a try!

Genghis Grill is worth visiting because it's a fun experience in putting your own bowl of food together that the chef will then cook up for you.
However, my main purpose for this review is to give kudos to the young lady who waited on my son and I with such a friendly smile and helpfulness. These are the hard-working professionals who make visiting any business an enjoyable and worthwhile experience.

This is a great joint. I love the ability to make your own bowls. The appetizers are also decent ( I recommend the sweet saucy balls or the chicken potstickers). I enjoy the range of meats, fresh veggies, seasonings, and sauces. I personally like their 3G sauce and Sesame sauce- but I like them sweet and cannot handle anything remotely spicy. I think you can't go wrong with the fried rice or udon noodles options. They are good at both dine in and take out and their margaritas are pretty good.

Not very happy when you order a bowl for $20 and you don't even get it half full especially when you don't even order protein with it , which is the most expensive cost to the restaurant.. what a shame I will not be back .

First time I went to this place, no good impressions at all. The restaurant is ridiculously expensive for the type of restaurant that it is. It's almost like a counter/self serve place charging fine dining prices. In addition, the forks they gave us were dirty with rice stuck in between.

Went to wash my hands before eating, waiter walked in with a dish rag and rinsed it in the sink, then went back out and was using it to open soy sauce bottles to refill. Somehow the bartender was also our waiter, was very unfriendly, had to ask multiple times for sugar for teas. When we asked for refills he was so irritated and was slamming stuff behind the bar. At one point he was fighting with 2 other coworker, then with another customer who brought his beers back because he thought they tasted flat, so the bartender Purex himself a glass and drank it to prove it was a new keg. Food station was a mess, and you were literally stuck to the floors it was so sticky and gross.

Took my dad there this past Wednesday for dinner. It was his first time ever - mine since the menu change from the one bowl/bottomless bowl options to the small/medium/large bowls and menu items. The waitstaff was attentive and informative (despite the fact that our waitress was training a new guy) regarding the dinner/restaurant options/process, and our food came out really fast. Got their around 7 pm on a Wednesday night, before the big dinner rush. Earlier is better if you don't like to wait. I'll definitely be back.

I went in and order a take out order. When I received my food I opened the container and ate a little and stirred it to mix the sauce more and there was a cooked sauced up roach in my food. I Immediately threw up. I was so furious. If I could rate this place -0 I would. When I told them and showed them they still did not apologize about this extra protein that I did not order. I will never go back.

Worst Genghis experience ever. I walked in and was seated right away - off to a good start. Filled my bowl as normal. The cook asked if I wanted eggs and I said no as I'm allergic to eggs. As I walk back to my table, I see a cockroach on the ground. This combined with the fruit flies everywhere is already grossing me out. 20 minutes later I get my bowl and it's full of eggs (at least 2 of them). I waited for the server for about 15 minutes but he never came by. So I spent the next 15 minutes picking eggs out of my bowl. Now my drink is empty and I have two napkins full of eggs sitting on the table. I decided to just eat the bowl - I have an epipen if anything bad happens but as long as I got most of them out, the worst is I might have a long night in the bathroom. Another 15 minutes later I am dying of thirst, my food that's left is cold and I'm ready to just be done. I sit for another 15 minutes and the cook comes by and clears my table and asks if I want another drink. I said yes but I also asked for a check. He brings my drink and says he'll get the server. Finally, 20 minutes later, the server finally reappears and gives me the check. Almost 2 hours after I sat down, I'm finally leaving feeling sick to my stomach, still dying of thirst, and $20 poorer. I will not be back. It's a shame because Genghis has always been one of my favorite restaurants and they closed the location by me, which, while always cold, never left me as dissatisfied as this location.

It is sad to see the decline in service at this location. The food quality is still good but all other aspects are failing. No menus were provided, our waiter did not know their wi e options and 1 of the staff even allowed solicitors to come in and walk around the dining area. Someone please rescue this concept before it implodes!

My food was good but we were disappointed that they no longer have steak as a protein. They only had shaved beef and it came out crunchy and/or like beef jerky. My son's meal was very disappointing. He used to love to eat here but we probably won't go back.

Just had dinner here with my husband! Our server (our receipt said Adrain, but not 100% on his name) was also our bartender, and man did he deliver! He was attentive, funny, and a really nice gentleman! They were busy tonight but you wouldn’t judge that based on our quick service, only by the full tables. What a great dining experience.

This place has roaches, we dine in today 2/9/2017 around 5:30-6:00 pm and there was a roach running around the spice counter... yuk stay away!!!!

I wanted spiral pasta, got noodles instead. Multiple times went without a drink. Waitress to busy talking to bartender. Not once to check on us after drop check off. Worse service in quite some time and she acted like we were important enough as others and played off on the solar eclipse. Been to other locations was better. If I go back won't be to this location.

This place need a facelift the decor is old and raunchy. Their grill needs updating as well and the bleach smelling bathroom does not mean clean. My shoes were sticking to the floor when I walked anywhere there. Don’t get me started about the staff that was more interested in hanging out instead of taking care of their customers.

I enjoyed it like always but disappointed my shirmp wasnt added to my meal but charged for it... Other than that ... Amazing

Burnt and sticky. All the food was over cooked. The meats and edamame were burnt. The veggies were almost mush. The floors, seats, and tables were sticky. Even after they wiped down the table, still sticky. Slow service. Servers were more interested in chatting it up with each other. Love Genghis Grill, but won't be going back to the Addison location again

Even though we knew there wasn't any chicken lime at this Genghis we still came to this location. There was no host, so the guy at the bar yells, "Sit wherever you want" and I think to myself that this is going to be a terrible dine-in. Yet, we stayed. Took about a good 7-10 minutes to get our drink orders in and finally give us our bowls. I was really craving the nutella with the ice cream dessert, but the waiter just gave us the bill, so I felt pressured to pay and leave. My family and I love Genghis Grill, but the service has been dwindling down.

Usually I am very satisfied but yesterday the food was not as good. My broccoli was way under cooked and the noodles tasted weird. I still love Genghis and I will not allow one bad day to change that. ❤️❤️

You get to create your own bowl, add all the veggies, meat, spices/seasoning,sauce and select the type of starch's you like (rice/noddle) and give it to master chef to cook it for you. I just loved it!
