Great lunch spot. Service was friendly and fast. Fish and food was fresh and delicious. We lucked out as seats were open when we arrived. Otherwise, some other aptrons had to wait as the place is small and cozy with limited tables. A bit pricey for the atmosphere and location and for lunch. Bathroom is outside. The building is older as is most buildings on this island. I would definitely go back to order takeout!
I've ordered takeout from them several times. The sushi is always fresh and the service was attentive and friendly. There are many parking spots in the lot in front of the restaurant. The place is small so you have to wait a while to dine in. But totally worth it especially for lunch when it is not as busy. I highly recommend checking them out.
Sushi Spot is one of my favorite places to eat across 35 countries! It has a cozy homelike atmosphere, the staff is incredible, and the food comes out fast. They open with a complementary miso soup that is very tasty, we ordered the chicken mandoo, which was an incredible chicken dumpling, so good. I had the salmon nigiri, and the fish was the freshest and smoothest I have had in Hawaii, simply awesome. The Philadelphia roll was a smoked salmon masterpiece and I'm glad we ordered it.
I love the stuffed jalapeno roll; light tempura, intermittent kick, great texture and flavor. It's absolutely delicious to the point that I have to share it, but regret not selfishly hoarding it for myself! I order it EVERY TIME.
I had hot green tea with my meal, and it was the perfect accompaniment.
I firmly recommend the deep fried oreos, 6 for 7.99 is a steal! I have had to pay an arm and a leg for one at the state fair, it was way better here! They are made perfectly and I had to go take a nap after my visit because I was so full and happy.
Service felt like family and were so welcoming that I felt they've known me for years. I wish I could bring my parents here. Everyone I bring now, becomes a repeat customer. I love Sushi Spot! I come here often. Thank you for a wonderful time, every time!
Service was fantastic, food was fresh, flavorful, and looked amazing. I would highly recommend this spot for a casual lunch.
This is by far the best sushi spot on island. The miso soup is incredible (and included… I love freebies) the sushi is fantastic (especially the Calvin’s choice).
It’s a casual sushi restaurant with minimal seating, but I hardly ever have to wait, and when I do the wait isn’t long. The service here is fantastic.
I had my first date here with my (now) wife and we’ve been more than a dozen times in the year we’ve lived on island. It’s a hidden gem and definitely worth a visit. We’re moving off island in a couple days, and we made this our last “date night” spot. Sushi spot is definitely high on the list of things we’ll be missing about Oahu.
I would definitely return here. Great food and service. Small place so best to be patient. Looked like takeout was popular.
I only usually give reviews if it’s really good or really bad. This is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on a tremendous little sushi shop. Hidden in a little outlet, sits a great food stop who has, not only great food and service, but reasonable prices given how high most are in Hawaii. Thankyou Sushi Spot! I encourage all to come and enjoy.
P.S. I had the Shrimp Tempura.
Everything we ordered was great. The service was fast and friendly. It is worth the trip, for sure. Limited seating, and parking.
Little mom & pop Korean style sushi place, friendly service, small but clean. They have a surprisingly wide selection of sushi rolls, but my favorite is the stuffed jalapeño and spicy poke salad. Definitely recommend for a quick, but satisfying lunch.
Very fresh and delicious sushi. The dragonfly has an adorable presentation.
The baked mussels are also phenomenal. My husband and I love making mussels ourselves, so we always try mussels at restaurants, often disappointed with many other restaurants. We finally met our match! Compliments to the chef!
