I am always a fan of Outback which is why it pains me to say my experience was not the greatest. Now I haven't been to outback for a few years but always had excellent service. I ordered the famous blooming onion and was quite disappointed to see it's the same price for a smaller portion. Not to mention the sauce tasted a bit soapy. The waitress was unfortunately not the best, she seemed like she wanted nothing to do with our table. Now when it came to dinner I ordered the chicken and steak combo with seasoned rice and mashed potatoes. Even though my mashed potatoes was forgotten and had to wait an hour and a half for it, the steak, chicken and rice was wonderfully seasoned. That alone made me forget the poor service and small blooming onion with soapy sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly and as I said the flavors were amazing as well. I'm hoping this was a fluke with the bad service and all and not a constant as I really do prefer Outback to it's competitors.

I wish there was something lower than 1 star. I'm still in shock from last night's "dinner" out. I don't ever write negative reviews, but this was ridiculous. My girlfriend and I met another couple here for dinner. The place was nearly empty by the time we sat down around 7pm - we were initially the only table on our side of the restaurant as most of the people there were sitting at the bar. Our waitress brought bread and took our appetizer order. We also ordered some drinks. The 4 of us got so busy talking and catching up that before we knew it, 30 minutes had passed and our waitress had never come back. I went up to the bar to see where she went and to get our drinks myself. The barmaid didn't know where she was but said the our drinks had been sitting up at the bar for "awhile." By the time I got back to the table with our drinks, our apps were there - delivered by someone other than our waitress. 30 minutes later, we had finished our drinks and apps and finally our waitress shows up. She asks us if "she took our order," pointing over towards the bar I guess. We said no and she said, "ok, I'll be right back." 10 minutes went by and I went back to the bar and asked for a manager. The manager came to our table 5 minutes later. We told her what was happening and that we had been there over an hour and still hadn't ordered dinner. She was apologetic and told us the apps were on them and that she would give us gift cards to make up for it. We told her we were leaving but she offered to take our order herself and personally take care of us. So we sat back down. She told us she was going to get a pad and pencil and the gift cards. We waited anther 15 minutes but she never came back, so we finally left with no dinner and no gift cards. I felt like we were in the Twilight Zone. I would definitely not recommend coming here - go to Longhorn or one of the many other restaurants in the area.

We received our food before we received our appetizers even after others who showed up after us got theirs. We wanted that blooming onion so bad! Beers were poured at the bar but sat there for almost 5 minutes before they were brought to us. They did remove the apps from our bill, so that was nice. The food was really good but the service could have been better.

Prime Rib was done medium it was perfect.
Potato was huge andbread fresh. Now I
have had better prime rib but at $27.99 I
but not for $28. I was very pleased and will
continue to eat here.

Outback service and flavor have finally returned to montrose. I know the restaurant never really went anywhere, but the service and quality disappeared awhile ago! Finally it is back! Tonight my steak loving daughter begged to go back to Outback, I was hesitant but when your 9yo begs its hard to say no. I am so glad I didn’t say no. We came at 6pm on a Saturday and had the most amazing food in front of us in less than 30 min. Shannon was an amazing server. Thank you Outback for bringing quality back to this location.

The carside lady was great. But that's where it ended.
No A1 sauce no salad dressing. 2 orders of loaded fries because one was burnt. Gave me the burned ones and the regular ones. My son's steak was disgusting, mine was over done. And it was a mess.
I normally LOVE outback. And was excited to see it near my hotel.
Never again at that location.

Service was friendly - but food left something to be desired. My steak came out rare - not medium rare, then came back medium. They also put the same piece of meat I had taken a couple bites out of and touched with my fingers and such -- right back on the grill, or microwaved it. Coconut shrimp loosely used the phrase coconut. Soup tasted a couple days old. Blooming onion had pieces of the top of the onion still. Food was attrocitious at best.

Great service. We dined in and sat at the bar and the young man was very, prompt, polite and professional. He worked the bar area and made great conversations with all guests. Never had to call him to come check up on us. He was always there refilling our water glasses. The food was great too. The 18 oz bone in ribeye was cooked to perfection! I was definitely pleased with the entire dining experience. Seated right away in bar. Service good. My salad was drenched with blue cheese dressing and tasteless. I ordered the filet mignon medium well it came well done and dry so I sent it back. Second steak not much better no flavor. Mashed potatoes ok. My husbands steak also no flavor. We're crossing this place off our list and will patronize Longhorn instead.

This place is an excellent place to eat. The steak was so good. Fixed the way we like it. We ordered the 14.99 combo. Which was a 6oz steak, a baked potato, soup, salad, even dessert. A lot to eat. We'd go back. (Joni)

We went to this Outback for dinner we had a gift card that was given to us for our 30th. wedding anniversary. I read reviews on here and was a little worried about going . But we decided to take a chance and see for ourselves how the food and service was. We walked in door and were greeted a.s.a.p by a smiling hostess, who seated us right away. Our server was a guy who also was smiling and friendly and anxious to serve. We got a blooming onion which was delish! We got our drinks, never had to wait for a refill! Our server was on the ball. Our food was hot, good, and came quickly. We loved the bread they bring out, that was so good! All in allwe had a very enjoyable dinner, everything was good, and our server was awesome. Im glad we didnt just go by these negative reviews, and went there we made a good decision!!

Been to Outback & the first three times were awesome..,the food was delicious along with the service.. went back another time & the service & food was terrible. I ordered steak & eat my food well done & was as red as an apple ewww.. sent it back & still not well done . I feel the manager should have reimbursed the meal.. just recently thought I would give it a try again.. waitress assisted us immediately we placed a drink order but took along time.. ordered the blooming onion was very oily the main course was just as bad meat was not seasoned enough & waitress never asked if we needed any more drinks .. I feel this is poor customer service... either outback needs new cooks &. Better waitresses.. probably will not be back

Made it in time for the lunch menu so hope to get out of here with a decent tab. Just observed a bitchy female customer complain to the manager about slippery floors and something not tasting right in her food and when it was done she got an apology, a discount and then had the nerve to try to collect 3 coupons. It was also found that she was going to steal the ramekin that was provided with her meal. Some (too many) people are just plain assholes and unfortunately we got to sit next to some in this restaurant today. Ashley or AJ our server was great and the food was good but on the way out we did realize the floors were dangerously slippery.

After eating at outback a countless amount of times with great experiences we never suspected this kind of treatment today. We arrived at 4:45 pm and it didn't seem busy and waitress took our order very quickly. Now there was 4 of us and we had 2 separate checks so we ordered 2 bloomin onions. Waited 10 minutes and received 1 onion so we figured they were just waiting for the 2nd one to get done. After 5 minutes I asked if the other onion was on the way and the waitress said she only thought we ordered one but she would get the other one on order. 10 minutes later the other onion showed up. after finishing the 2nd onion we waited till 5:42 and asked if our food was almost ready she kinda made it seem like she didn't care and walked away to check then after an hour later from ordering we had to tell the waitress that we're just going to leave and find some place else to eat so she ended up finally getting us our food but the crispy chicken salad had no chicken in it and our steak quesodillas were cold. upon getting the manager and informing her of the issues she comped one couple for there salad but the other couple that waited 25 mins for the blooming onion still ended up paying in full when they were told it would be taken care of and when we informed the waitress of this she made it seem like she was the one that was being taken for granted. It wasn't worth causing a scene over so we left. I think we will steer clear of outback after this experience!

My dad brought our family here for dinner on 6-3-17 the service was bad we didn't get hot food it was warm the waiter was rud he messed up our order 2x and we never got refills on our drinks. This was very bad serves we will never come here again....

Rick & I went for a couple drinks and a blooming onion. Best bloomin onions. We both order our steaks. He had prime rib which is his favorite. I ordered a different streak and it was horrible dry & fatty my veggies were soggy. I told the waitress when she asked how our meal were and she went & got the manager. I order my usually strip steak & it was awesome. No charge for my second dinner. Will stay with what I like. Will b bk soon.

I used to love Outback but every time we go now the experience gets a little worse and worse each time. This time, there was a hair in our salad. My Victoria filet looked like a frozen steak from Omaha Steaks. Ordered steak medium and came out medium well. Waitress had to be reminded to get refills because she forgot that I even asked for one. Very poor service. We were very disappointed in the whole experience especially because we loved going to Outback.

Worse dinner ever!! My wait wasn't terrible for a family of 5 but once we sat down everything went south. I ordered an appetizer that they didn't have all of the ingredients for. Instead of telling me they were missing some they just served it without toppings. When I asked about it the waitress just told me they were out of the item. We waited over a half hour before we even ordered our food and we had to stop a different waitress to place that order. We didn't get drink refills unless we asked for them. When food was finally delivered they delivered 3 of the 5 of our food because the kitchen was backed up. The staff knew we were not happy and a manager NEVER came to see us. We also saw 2 other family's walk out because of being unhappy while we were there. I understand restaurants get busy and kitchens get backed up but it's up to the rest of the staff to make customers feel comfortable while they wait!!

Over 30 minutes to get our order in, then another 45 to get the food to the table. Tables were not bused around us and were just left that way. Employees didnt really seem to care much.... Watched 3 tables around us leave mad because of the poor service. Food was a flop � as a server and barmaid myself..... I was in total shock. My boss/owner of the place i work at would of flipped out 6 ways from Sunday if myself or any other one of his employees ran a place this way.

We always go here for mothers day, parents anniversaries, birthdays etc. This mothers day was a bit disappointing. We came in to try to be seated, and were informed it would be a 2 hour wait to be seated. We looked around and saw tables empty, and the parking lot had a decent amount of cars, but plenty of spaces available. So we asked why the long wait when there were open tables. We were informed that we could be seated soon/periodically but would probably not get any food until possible 7:30pm (we came in roughly around 5:30pm). According to one of the hostesses, the kitchen was extrememly backed up for some reason so no food was coming out. Reasonably we couldnt wait possibly 2+ hours to get any food if we would get any at all. Granted we dont know exactly what had happened behind the scenes to why everything backed up or why no food was coming out, but I was still disappointed in how it was handled since I'm sure we were not the only family to take our business else where. The only plus is that they told us before we agreed to be sat.
