The food was decent. The drinks were pretty good. The service was terrible. We watched a couple come in after us, order, got their food, pay their bill, and left before we got our food. When we got our food, it was lukewarm at best. No vegetarian options. The one plate they have that has no meat and it wasn't really meant to be vegetarian it just is vegetarian. Not that places have to be vegetarian or have vegetarian options but it is 2022 and there's a lot of couples out there that one eats meat and the other one doesn't. We have no desire to go back

My new bar choice. It was an amazing great first impression. Had a gin and tonic for $6 and a lovely steak meal for around $30 or so.
Also don't forget to ask about dessert. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Was there for 2 and 1/2 hours and the food we ordered didn't come out. The booth we reserved also got given away as we arrived so we had to sit at the bar.
Akron has many high quality steakhouses, this is not one of them.

We always have a great meal and experience here. Whether having steak and seafood or just appetizers or burger, food is always great! Owner, servers, and bartenders helpful and friendly.

Free standing dated building with lots of parking on property. Cozy, nostalgic atmosphere. Furniture worn but still comfy. Nice old school feel when we walked in this establishment. Service was pleasant. Server was absolutely wonderful and knowledgeable of the menu. Nice menu as well as wine and spirits menu. Food presentation was nice. Boyfriend ordered chicken marsala. Was good but not great. I ordered the shrimp pasta with vodka sauce. Sauce drowned the dish and was all I could taste, could've used more pasta to balance out the overwhelming sauce. Did not eat but 2 bites. Should've ordered something else. Dinner served with bread and side of olive oil for dipping. Was tasty but could've used fresh roasted garlic, basil and red wine vinegar for a delightful flavor. Ordered a simple bottle of dry red wine. Was good and would order again. Overall, we enjoyed this restaurant and will return to try something different on the menu to please our palates. Would recommend coming here to others. Server made our first time experience a delightful one. Bon appetit everyone and Godspeed!

Although we've lived in Akron for years, we just stumbled upon this place - a hidden gem for a nice dinner out! The atmosphere has a vintage vibe, and you can tell the restaurant has been around for some time (but in a good way): dark wood, chandeliers, red velvet booths and a dark wood bar keep it feeling intimate and classy. We both ordered martinis and were impressed with the generous pour sizes. The extensive menu did not disappoint either! There were around 15 specials (apps and main dishes) on top of a large menu with plenty of variety. We were pleasantly surprised that each entree came with a salad and a side (unlike other pricier steak houses which are a la carte). The portion sizes were generous as well Finally, the service was great - we had an attentive server that stopped by on multiple occasions. We will certainly be back!

Our server Niki was great!
The spinach and artichoke was the best I've ever had.
We had a reservation for 20 people and only 12 showed up. After complaining about raw food among other things... The owner wasn't really helpful at all and instead of listening to us he talked over us and on top of that blamed us for what happened. He informed us of all the other reservations he turned down because of ours and said that he missed out on money because of us. And that He's use to making $30 a person so next time we come be prepared to pay that much. He never once apologized and instead made excuses. I will not be back here.
However if you decide to go make sure you order the spinach dip.

I had a taste for steak and decided to go literally a quarter of a mile down the road from my house and try a place we'd never been, Wise Guys. Interior was nice and very clean. Wine list was impressive. Stephanie, our waitress, was very attentive and personable. Everything we had was wonderful! Calamari appetizer was delicious. The White French salad dressing was so good. My steak, omg my steak!! It was huge and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back.

I love the "Old World Wise Guy Charm". Very friendly, clean, cozy establishment. Our server Allison was just a classy as the atmosphere, very tentative, polite, very knowledgeable of the menu. Menu had many wonderful choices, portion was good for the price, and our martinis spot on. I've lived in North Hill for over 20 years and I wonder to myself why did it take me so long to stop there. Definitely will be returning with more family and spreading good word. If you're thinking about stopping I say go on in highly recommended.

A place where the owner shakes your hand after your meal and thanks you for your patronage. Where they muddle you a cherry coke and genuinely want you to have a great dining experience. It's not cheap because it's not garbage but damn it's worth it!

One of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. Food was ice cold when it got to the table. Oddly enough, was told by the server 'your food will be out in two minutes'. Fifteen minutes later, we were presented with plates of food that resembled those you'd get in a greasy lunch diner. The food was haphazardly thrown on the plate. The garlic mashed potatoes tasted like they were one of those 99 cent packets you stir into boiling water. The shrimp were rubbery and tasteless. The steak was dry, cold, and tasteless, as well. The $8 glass of 'house wine' was about a quarter full, if that. With McDonalds down the street, I don't see how this place will survive.

If you haven't dined at Wise Guys in North Akron then you are simply missing out. Ashley and Tom behind the bar are down to Earth and will take great care of you. The food is prepared best in the business. #oneofakind #theydontmakethemlikethisanymore

We will soon be in Akron and look forward to dinner at Wise Guys. It has become our favorite place to meet friends whenever we visit. The White French dressing and French Onion soup are so good. My husband always gets the spaghetti and meatballs. He says it is the best ever. Can't wait!

Unique speakeasy atmosphere and appetizing food. The calamari was delicious.

Recently made my first visit. Enjoyed the best Greek Salad and an amazing strip steak cooked perfectly. Asparagus cooked perfectly. $36.00 & the tip. Hoping to go there at least once a month. It would be a shame to see this place close because it a "Gem" in the north Akron community.
