The barista was super friendly and my food came out quickly. Very spacious place to get anything done or just to hang out.

I've come here multiple times in the past, I discovered it in the 2021 Drip Drive. My boyfriend and I were completing this year's Drip Drive and know that Compass Coffee is also on the Akronite App. For those unfamiliar, it's an app that tracks your spending at Akron businesses and you earn points you can spend at participating Akron locations. I've redeemed my Akronite points at Compass Coffee in the past, that's how I know for a fact they do accept the Akronite points. However this time, I was told I could not use my Akronite points, which I had saved up $32! I was very disappointed to hear this and probably will not be back due to this. My boyfriend and I already got our stamp for the Drip Drive so we don't need to be back. It was a nice place to grab coffee, with a nice atmosphere. *update we were waiting 20 minutes after getting our breakfast sandwiches for our drinks. After my boyfriend walked up there to ask where our drinks were he said he forgot all about them. After getting his drink, he noticed it was a small instead of the 16 Oz we had paid for. We didn't care to wait any longer to bring this to his attention. We definitely won't return. ** after trying my CHAI LATTE I almost swallowed a whole Coffee bean. Why is there Coffee beans in my tea??

I go here 2-4 times a week - you can hardly find a better cup of in the city with 3000 sq ft of meeting space; it's the largest coffee shop around and great for meetings, catching up with friends, or studying. I love that fact that it's mission-centered and the funds go to support the community and the The Well CDC. If you like cold brew coffee, this is your place! Try the hot chocolate !

Huge open coffee shop with lots of tables to spread out for large groups or to read/study. Compass has great coffee without a pretentious vibe and a good selection of non-coffee options, as well. Would highly recommend!

Great place! Super cute, staff is very friendly. One of my favorite spots to meet up for group projects. They do great work for the community, and Elizabeth's bookshop has been a fantastic addition.

Always very welcoming Cup of coffee. This place is clean, lots of room to sit down and get some work done, or have a meeting. They actually have a printer here which you can get some stuff printed up for a nominal fee. I’ve used it several times, and it’s very easy and convenient. Lots of different option for coffee and tea. The breakfast sandwiches are also amazing! Lots of great parking too.

I was visiting Akron for the day and I felt in the mood to try this place cause I like trying coffee shops and I get around by bus and this place told me there not serving me cause I they said I am homeless excuse me I am not a homeless person. I have a job and money how dare I get judge just cause I have a scruffy beard does not mean I am homeless don’t judge someone base on there looks this place should learn not to judge people. As you can see I am an average person like anyone else.

Delicious cup o Joe and breakfast sandwich, priced fairly. Big, welcoming, clean space with friendly talkative staff. Love that they have a program to buy coffee for people in need. Will definitely come back when I'm in Akron.

What an awesome space and the coffee actually tastes like the flavor you put in it as opposed to most local shops that are usually bitter with a hint of flavor.

Drove all the way from Cleveland and spent the whole day there today. Had a great chai latte. Lots of space and the aesthetic was great. Plenty of outlets and the WiFi worked well. My day off was well spent here drinking wonderful, warm drinks, reading, and listening to music. Definitely recommend. I will go back, for sure.

I volunteered at The Well yesterday for United Way’s Day of Action and bought a cup of coffee at Compass Coffee. Best cup of coffee I’ve had in a long time - so good I bought a pound to take home.

I had the most delicious Camp Fire Mocha. I would highly suggest trying it when you go. Take a buddy and hang out. This place is cozy, comfortable, and inviting. The perfect spot to hang out with your friends.

One day while walking around Akron I became lost. Horribly lost. I was in a predicament because the day started out a sunny 70 degrees but then one hour later became a blizzard and the temperature dropped to 20 degrees. I couldn't see anything more than 10 feet in from of through the whipping snow beating against me.
After losing my map and eating my last kale chip, supplies were running low and all I had was my compass, beard, and will to walk. So I decided to follow my compass' needle because it was going to lead me to a destination. Dodging potholes of lava, sinkholes, and more potholes my compass lead me to this building next to the Land of Wendy. The needle on my compass kept spinning, so I knew I was in the right place. I looked up under my frozen eyelids to see the sign "Compass Coffee." Some may say it was a divine sign or others may say it was broken navigation tool. Either way I knew I was in the right place.
After opening the door to such a wondrous place, it was warm, open, and inviting. The decor and design of this coffee shop warmed my frozen eyelids instantly to take a gander around. So much room for activities while also having that small local coffee shop feeling. As I sauntered up to the bar, the friendly barista parted knowledge of their delectable drinks. I ordered a coffee, and with that first sip my body became alive and the frozen tundra of Akron instantly ceased and thawed.
I enjoyed my time there with their large open tables where I could open a map I found and spread it all out. As I planned my next journey. Overall this place will be visited very often.

A real third wave coffee shop in Akron! A rotating selection of coffees from different roasters, Mazzer grinders, as well as a Mahlkoenig EK43, a shiny new La Marzocco espresso machine, siphon brewers, and pourovers. The aesthetic is really cool too! Lots of space in there. If you're lost and looking for it, it's located inside the church. The vibe isn't church-y at all, though.

I enjoy the beverages that are offered here and the atmosphere is so relaxing. It's also a spacious place which is really nice. I give you a 5 star rating!

The atmosphere is so aesthetically pleasing and the campfire mocha was one of the best coffee drinks I've ever had. Just the fact that they use Hartzler Dairy chocolate to make it won me over!!

Wonderful vibes, awesome coffee, PLENTY of space for meetings/homework/projects, etc. Excellent service, too! 10/10 would recommend!

Coffee and atmosphere are perfection. A wonderful spot for date night, group hang outs, study breaks, office work, Bible studies, you name it! Compass is very spacious and welcoming to all. This is definetly a new staple in downtown Akron.

Tried one of their new breakfast sandwiches—sausage, scrambled egg, and cheddar cheese on a croissant—and it was everything I'd hoped for. 10/10 would eat again.

Coffee was great, the atmosphere is fantastic. This is centrally located and although kind of hidden, has plenty of parking around back.
