I have the best experience there I've had in a long, long time. Fantastic food. Great beer. Schnitzel and spaetzle. AND live music performed by Mitch Polzak and the Royal Deuces. GO! This place is super great. Shout out to Raul and Vanessa.
Drove Up from San Jose since the place we normally take my son-in-law for his birthday was closed for the holiday. Extremely happy that we chose to check it out. From my call to see if we needed reservations, all the way through dessert, was a great experience. Food was fabulous, and waitress really helpful!! Definitely will go here again! The drive was worth it.
Place is amazing! I love the food! The selection of beers and wine is amazing also. Definitely sit on the patio. It's so beautiful out. Although the inside is wonderful too I love my patio! Our server was very attentive, her suggestions were amazing! Perhaps some wirsing next time, lol. We will see you next time.
I was craving for a cheese platter, so we ended up eating here. I just wish there were more crackers, although we really like the variety of fruits and dried fruits to go with the cheeses. They do have vegetarian entrees (one salad and the vegetable strudel), we got the latter. It was good but not filling. We also got a bowl of the butternut squash soup (yes that one was good). An IPA beer to start and ended up with a cappuccino.
Went here for dinner and they have a St. Patrick's Specials. At first we thought the place will be pretty ratchet but we are quite surprised that its nice and not the usual place you'll think for a beer garden style. We had the corned beef and it was good, we also tried the Pretzel and it really is soo tasty, I ate half considering I am not a big pretzel fan. The Applestrudel is also very good! I will definitely come back to try their CurryWurst!
We went on a relatively busy Saturday evening. The staff was super friendly and helpful in suggesting dishes. Their recommendations checked out completely - the sausage and the pork chop were 100% delicious, and the sauces complemented the dishes perfectly. We also got a schnitzel, which was wonderfully crispy. While neither of us are huge beer fans I believe both of us were quite satisfied with the one that we got! Worth the splurge for our college student bank accounts.
I love this place so much. Not only is the food delicious but it's adorable and the staff is super rad. Always friendly, always knowledgeable, always fun! Get the grapefruit radler!
Truly excellent beer and awesome German comfort food. You absolutely have to order the potato pancakes. The reuben is amazing. The schnitzel is the best I've ever had, with an otherworldly mushroom sauce. It's slightly pricey, not something to do everyday, but the quality and flavor are completely worth it.
My favorite German restaurant in the entire United States. Great food! Great Beer! I’ve been coming here for 15 years and it’s always full of happy people enjoying great German food! My favorite dish, and one of my all time favorites anywhere, is the beef stuffed cabbage. So flavorful!! Just as good as I had it the first time 15 years ago when it was only a special. Now it’s a regular menu item and you can have it any time! You won’t be disappointed!!!
The meat plate (fleischplatte) was excellent. Great selection of german beers including Spaten, one of my favorite Munich breweries.
Was there this weekend. Had the restaurant week prixe fixe option. Got the pork goulash which was amazing. The pork fell apart easily and had a bit of a butter taste, probably from the spaetzle which was also amazing. The braut plate was great with the pretzle dumplings but not as good as the goulash. And the apple strudel was also amazing.
Exactly the same as it has always been. Satisfying food, well executed and friendly staff. I like the option of having smaller portion sizes which they implemented a long time ago. I wish more places would follow their lead.
