So impressed with Lola's cleanliness, attention to culinary detail and overall excellence. Also like that I believe it's fully family-run and they remember customer's names and it adds to the family/community feel. Have only been a few times but this is 5-star chicken & certainly not "fast-food" nor remotely related to "nuggets." The large prep and cooking area one can view easily are spotless. Had their new chicken burger & one could close their eyes & swear they were eating a ground steak burger. It was that good, easily could serve two hungry adults with sharp Cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato. Outstanding. Just their chicken strips alone are amazing along with their in-house-made sauces. My family & I like to dip Lola's traditional & crispy chicken first into their Wasabi sauce(not too spicy, just the right bite) and then into I believe their orange sauce, or strawberry sauce secondarily to elicit many great flavors at once. Their house-made potato chips always taste warm and fresh and again, this isn't fast food. Everything we've had has been made to order. Have used their home delivery in the past and it's always quick and hot. For kids, there's one of the rare fairy doors to search for and a new state-of-the-art computerized soft drink and tea dispenser that I think said has over 130 possible combinations. It's one of the few(meaning expensive) in the state but the drink prices are in line with anywhere else. Lola's Chicken (they have so many side offerings like bean salad and tons more) is our go-to real restaurant when we can't prepare our own food and we're foodies having taken classes from "Alameda's Julia Child"(total food legend) in Ms Weezie Mott, etc. 5 stars on any rate-able area in my opinion and that of family and friends. I know people who come all the way from SF/The City and beyond for Lola's and they get great write-ups too in area media. Dr Mike Lano living in our city, for transparency. I have no relation to the restaurant, but saw a few inane comments here & wanted to chime in. Our top city administrators love Lola's too as we see them equally carting bags of food from there. And it's rated as a top lunch spot for area high scholars who descend on our main street where Lola's is located on Park St. Plenty of parking w/ Alameda garage adjacent Alameda Theatre too. Even during known busy times & weekends, always available parking.

I went in today for an order to go to bring back to the office for lunch, and it was amazing! I got the California Club, and it did not disappoint. Both my co-worker and I were impressed with the food. The staff that was working was friendly, and food came out quickly. Will be going back to try more soon! Yum!

Great chicken. Flavors inside and out. And yes. That's without the sauces. I actually ate most of mine without any sauce. Fairly priced and a friendly family feel staff. Head there now for the lobster roll while it lasts. I will be back.

Food was bomb. Ordered the Lola b sandwich and a side salad. Chicken was cooked well . Had a hint of spicy sauce which was tasty. The waitress was pretty spicy herself lol. Location is nice. Able to eat indoors or outdoors. Not to expensive. Staff was friendly. Recommend it if in the area.

Where to begin. On the surface, you get the vibe of a chain restaurant only to realize that it's a solo establishment. Ample seating and space with a friendly crew working. Despite how busy they get, they manage to make your food in a timely manner. Did I mention how delicious their chicken sandwiches/burgers are? Well, they're very good especially for the price.

A hip little chicken place in Alameda. We ordered the fried chicken entree and the grilled chicken salad. All were delicious and savory. The fried chicken was so crispy and moist, and it was well seasoned. Great food, great staff, check this place out! The pieces of chicken were a good size, don't let the size in picture fool you

Nice takeout spot for quick service and quality bites. Menu is predominantly chicken sandwiches and salads, with a small selection of hamburgers.

Tasty, old fashioned southern fried chicken, it's exactly what you would expect! Smells delicious, and the service is kind and thoughtful. Lines get long most days in the evenings, so plan ahead.

Thank you Lola team for supporting the community and taking precautions to ensure everyone's safety. ======== If you're remotely close to Alemeda, want to go on a drive, adventure away from home - Lola's will be a good stop. They are pick up only, you can order online or in store, and wait times are fairly short. We're big fans of fried chicken, and being it's now trending - we make it a point to find local gems. And Lola's is a gem! They have a good size menu, for our first time, we stuck to the 'basics' - 3 piece Tenders (classic) - This is a signature blend of breading that is slightly seasoned and fried. Good crust on the tenders, and fried to golden brown. The chicken is well coated, leaving it moist inside. And 3 pieces is basically a full chicken breast. So it can be a meal. There are a number of dipping sauces you can get - 1 free, additional will cost ~ $0.40 Flamethrower Chicken (sandwich) - Don't be thrown by the description, it sounds spicy, but it's THE BEST balance of spices. The chicken cools the flame sauce, the fresh jalapenos add a crunch and freshness, with the onions, and the bread is perfect! Everything is wrapped so well in the roll, all the flavors soak up in the bread which cools it all down. Onion Rings - This is what (kind of) lost us. Freshly fried, gave this a very 'fast foody' smell. And made the rings really 'heavy'. Taking a bite of the best sandwich gets drowned by a bite of the rings (oiliness). Coated the tongue and throat, so it was a bit hard to eat, and finish for that matter. Overall, we're definitely coming back and Lola's has given us a reason to hang around Alameda. Thanks Lola's!

The southwestern burger was great. I thankfully got it without the spread. They have several items to choose from, when it comes to sandwiches, salads or burgers, but not so much that you're paralyzed. They have two outdoor tables and several booths inside (but booths were empty due to CV). They have fountain drinks and bottled drinks as well.
