Favorite diner of all time!. I LOVE this place. The older woman who always waits on us there is SO sweet, she knows what we need before WE do. The food is always perfect and very reasonably priced. Go, you will NOT be disappointed!

Good food and a loving family atmosphere. If I don't start my weekday morning with my coffee (or unsweetened ice tea) and a pleasant visit with Aphrodite, well then, it starts off on rough ground. Pat never disappoints. The home fries are THE BEST around! The waitresses are always pleasant. If I have enough money with me, I like to top off my breakfast/lunch with a bowl of nice, cold tapioca pudding.
Although its tough to say goodbye to the lovely, kind people at Colonie Diner, the genuine, albeit rushed at times, well wishes for the day, make the parting easier to handle. Can you tell that when you are a customer, you become family at Colonie Diner?
Went for breakfast on a Sunday around 9am and one of the few tables in there. Awesome old Greek woman as our waitress that was a riot. Food was cooked lightning fast and everything was pretty good. Country potatoes and sausage were diggity, the chocolate milk however wasnt good. Overall definitely worth a stop if you're passing through Albany.
