Frontier Restaurant - Albuquerque - Photo album

It was packed at 11am when we came for breakfast rush and the line was 20+ min long. Absolutely worth it. Great food made fast and cozy hometown ambiance. Really liked the eclectic decor and artwork that helps give Frontier an iconic and unique local character. The restaurant was much larger than I
Fabulous home style authentic New Mexican family owned restaurant. Enjoy the local art, sculptures, paintings while you dine on great homestyle cooking, friendly fast service. FIVE STARS!!!
Tasty food that was ready quickly. Fun, relaxed vibe with tons of tables. Seems like they get pretty busy but they've got a good system down. We were there around 9:30pm when it wasn't busy and our order was ready in under 5 minutes. Order at a counter and they have order number screens around the r
This is a pretty iconic Albuquerque eatery from what I’m told. It has a unique atmosphere and the building has a lot of character and history. The food is solid. I want to come back and try some more items. Loved the green Chile stew. The hard taco uses a shell similar to Taco Bell, but better. If t
This is a causal spot if you're looking for a quick meal and to try New Mexico food like us. We thought the food was tasty, but it was our first time having New Mexico food so we had nothing to compare it to. The atmosphere was fun with great artwork/photos all over. If you are looking for someth
This place is such a trip! We enjoyed the burritos and breakfast plates. Warm and cold salsas and self-serve coffee make the dining fun and the decor is mind-blowing
Walk up counter service Mexican food joint. Food is good. There is a ton of southwest art work. Dominated by John Wayne. Plenty of seating to handle even large crowds.
Good comfort food at a good price. Mocha coffee and cinnamon rolls are a must.
Literally flew back from PA just to have a Frontier Burrito! I got it to go because I knew I wouldn't finish it right away haha I lived in Abq my whole life and recently moved away, the food just doesn't compare anywhere else. If you're looking for comfort food this is your spot. Don't forget to gra
Grateful for this late night place in ABQ. My husband and I had green chile burgers and a Mexican combo. Also had a frontier roll for dessert. Loved most everything, the beans a little on the dry side for my taste.
We were told that The Frontier Restaurant is a must-see if we were in Albuquerque, so we had to stop. Walking in feels nostalgic with the diner tables and layout. The walls are filled with hints of the past. The food was prepared as if grandma just cooked you a meal that warms you inside and out. T
I love this place. I haven't been in 12 years and coming back to Albuquerque it felt like home stepping in here again. I had a long drive ahead so I didn't want to overstuff myself so I got a half order of chicken enchiladas with red sauce. It came with rice and a fresh tortilla. What can I say the
Frontier burrito 8.6/10 Posole 6.0/10 Green Chile stew 9.2/10 Frontier is staple of Central ave in Knob hill. The restaurant is setup as an order at the counter, pick up when your ticket is called establishment. The frontier burrito is very good, but be prepared to used a knife and fork as it is sm
I love the frontier! Green chile stew is my favorite. The posole is really tasty too! My kids fav is the frontier rolls. Order the lemonade! The place is clean and there is lots of decor on the walls to look at. Get a seat near a window and people watch. You won't be disappointed.
Edit So I've come here maybe once a week for half a year. It's breakfast is fine. I like the huevos rancheros with chopped chille. The people in and out side are a colorful bunch. Lol. But I guess there isn't much you can do about that. Here's where I think you find a lot of value. The peo
Great experience overall at an iconic Albuquerque, New Mexico restaurant. Service is quick and excellent with a steady line of people flowing through at busy times.
This is a large and apparently very popular restaurant in Albuquerque just across the street from the University of New Mexico. It was recommended to us by our grandson who goes to school there. It is set up like fast food restaurant where you order at the front and wait until your number is called.
