Food is amazing and service was great! We went in at a busy time, and were taken care of very well! This is a great place for breakfast, we will be back often!
Had the hikers eggs Benedict and was very impressed! The veggie additions were spot on and made one of my favorite dishes even better. Would recommend!
Great selection and very tasty food. The Mexican skillet was amazing, and the pumpkin spice coffee was top notch. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good breakfast/brunch in Uptown.
I love this place has healthy and yummy options my mom doesn't really like it, she likes tradition Mexican breakfasts or shredded hasbrowns that are slightly over cooked which this place is more traditional country breakfast with country style potatoes but she loves the coffee best coffee in Albuquerque
This past vacation. As I just came back from vacation I had the pleasure of eating out quite often, breakfast took place primarily at the egg and I. While I was in Albuquerque I noticed an Egg so I decided to try it and the food was well worth it, I have eaten at quite a few breakfast restaurants and this is one that definitely has it together. The food is great and the staff is very helpful but not overly helpful like at some restaurants. To anyone who is going to or lives in Albuquerque that hasnt the tried the Egg and I I highly recommend it.
Delicious and homey comfort food. They were pretty packed around 10 on a Saturday but they still got us in fairly quickly and the service want bad. We'll definitely go back.
Deliciousness. My friends and I have eaten here a few times and it has been wonderful each time. There are so many options to choose from. All the food is amazing, as well as the waitstaff. ;) Our server, Chris, was very sweet, prompt, and quite handsome. We had a great experience and will be back for more!

Really great food! Really great Coffee! Really great service!. The Egg and I is a really good place to go during the week before work for breakfast, or for lunch on my lunch break, sundays are usually really busy...and you have to wait a bit...but its totally worth it! The service is good from when I walk in the door, to my table, and when i leave to cash out my check. The owner always makes sure to stop by and check on everyone to make sure everyone is doing there job. the waitress was sweet, and kept checking to see if i was still doing okay. the food sometimes takes a bit to come out, but the waitress' always offer me a fruit cup when they know the kitchen is backed up.
WAYYYY better than wecks, dennys, and I hop!!!
ive tried a few different items on the menu, and so far i have nothing bad to say! everything is delicious!
i've read some bad reviews on this website...and i disagree completely! Food is not full of oil, food has never been more than 25 mins...which is about average for other places that busy. and the service...has NEVER been bad. So you cant really judge by anyone on this website...i say you should go try it yourself and find out for yourself.

The pumpkin coffee is great. I was surprised to see such a variety of eggs Benedict, AND a vegetarian option. The breakfast rellenos were more like a glorified omlett without enough chile but everything else I've tried has been awesome. The servers are on the ball even on busy Sunday mornings. Ill be back.
Love this place. My daughter and I have visited the Egg and I 3 times and have selected different menu items each time. The wait time is less than the hostess states, and the food and service are great. We have tried various items: hot chocolate, coffee, multiple pancake types, scrambles and benedicts and have been very pleased every time. The food is great and the presentation is exceptional. Great addition to ABQ's breakfast choices.
Egg and I is OUTRAGOUSley good!!!!!!!!!!!. 4 kinds of coffee BOLD, regular and two flavors all ground fresh for every single pot! Breakfast is the BEST! I have now eaten there 15 times and the food is good as well as the service... If you go there and think you got poor service or bad food, than you are probably a moron anyway so don't go back... I only want to eat with nice people when I go!
Yummy and pleasant. We've eaten at other Egg and I restaurants and this one is also very good, though not quite on the level of the one in St. George, Utah. Of course it has been open less than two months, so I'm willing to cut them some slack. Our meals have been very good, both breakfast and lunch, and we find the prices very reasonable. The portions aren't as large as some place like Cracker Barrel, but I don't mind that a bit. Our wait staff has been good. One bit of confusion on a muffin (whether it was to go or to eat in) was quickly resolved. They say that it is totally slammed on weekends, but so are lots of other places. Our weekday experiences have been excellent.
We had a very enjoyable brunch here today. We ordered the French toast with eggs and sausage as well as a side of biscuits and gravy. It was quite busy - our food took at least 30 minutes to come out, and it was wrong when he brought it to the table. We didn't mind much, as the plentiful coffee was excellent and the service was outstanding. The food was good, but not any better than Village Inn or IHOP. I felt like we got what we paid for. We'll be back, but maybe not at 12:00 on a Sunday next time!
My new breakfast spot!. This place is AMAZING and my new favorite breakfast spot. The service was great, coffee was delicious, and the food is totally on point. The Eggs Benedict is probably the best in town and remarkably affordable. I nothing negative to say and I am totally digging The Egg and I!

Great Breakfast!!. I have been eating at The Egg and I every weekend since they opened and I enjoy it. I have had breakfast at many different places in town and I'd have to say this is one of the best and they have sweet tea...yum!! The food always taste great and its consistent. I have eaten at Egg and I's for many years in different states and I was glad to see one come here. At most restaurants your rarely see the managers out on the floor talking with customers but here the manager is all over talking with customers to make sure your experience eating here was great which is a big plus. Sure they have a few little problems to work out like sometimes it may take a bit to get your food or some of the servers my forget to put your order in right but I mean you cant expect perfection from a brand new restaurant and crew that has only been open for 3 weeks and if you do well there is something wrong with you. So all in all if you want a place with great food, service and a friendly atmosphere I would highly suggest this restaurant.
Superb. As the ole North Carolina tune goes...nothing could be finer..certainly applies to the Egg and I. My wife and I took a chance on a Sunday morning and found it to be simply a great place. The service from the moment you go in until you pay the bill is grand. Our server was delightful and full of good tips about what we might enjoy. It was a very busy place, yet except that it took a little longer for my eggs Benedict to arrive, all went well. Maribeth had a bacon,spinch omlet..cooked to perfection. We also ordered a side waffle(best we've had in ABQ). The way to test the Eggs Benedict is to take a taste of the Hollandaise sauce. They know how to make this treat. Coffee? WOW. And the 10% discount(age or military)is nice. And even with a huge crowd, the place was quiet and folks were enjoying to chance to eat outside. Parking galore(next to Chili's ) is a plus . We will be back.
Best Staff!. They have the friendliest hostesses and the service was amazing! The atmosphere of the restaurant, from the decor, to the music, to the awesome staff, really made us feel at home. Can't wait to go back!
Exceptional service and delightful food! I had the seasonal pineapple coconut pancake with bacon- delicious!! Bacon is thick and flavorful and perfect with it- highly recommend.
