We enjoyed our meal here. Food is decent, atmosphere is very nice. Good beer selection
We had fish and chips, and a wedge salad. They were both good but nothing to write home about.
We especially enjoyed the art on display
Met with a group here for happy hour. It was my first time at O'Neills. The service was outstanding and the food was really good. I highly recommend the mac and cheese bites. The Celtic Punch was a nice combination of fruity and boozy. I'd definitely eat here again.
First time at O’Niells. Very welcoming when you walk in. Very good and fast service and one of best Rueben sandwiches I have had. French fries were delicious. Would love to return and try something else.
Atmosphere was relaxed, Food was delicious, staff took great care of our table.
My friend and I came here for an early lunch or after hiking in the morning. We usually hit the early crowd so there were not a lot of people. Sitting at the patio can be quite a challenge if the restaurant is not busy. The servers might not come to check or refill waters as often. One good thing is that they usually bring water and a cookie for our furry friends.
We ordered and shared nacho. The order was high and it can be a meal in itself. I ordered half Caesar salad and a cup of lamp stew. The salad was okay - I wish there would be a bit more dressing on it. The stew was a little disappointment. It tasted like carrot soup with lamp as its protein. I also wish they would give a piece of bread to go with the stew; those packaged crackers would not do their job for soup.
The seating outside was comfortable. We tried the key lime pie for dessert and I think it tasted good. Definitely made from scratch...yum!!
When looking for a venue to host our engagement party, we reached out to Oniell's. The gentleman who helped us coordinate the event was super nice and wonderful to work with.
During the party, everything ran smooth. The food was AMAZING and shocked by how deliciously spicy the Salsa was. The price was very reasonable and staff was great!
Highly recommend for small parties and gatherings. Try the salsa!
Thanks again for hosting us!
We just had our Christmas Party at O'Niells. It was amazing. One of the best secrets in town. Our staff was wonderful. Cody, our Manager was so helpful and accommodating. Our bar tender and server, I apologize, I can't rether name, but again - wonderful!!! We know where we are going next year!!
Update on review: O'Niell's truly cares for their customers. The owner reached out personally and apologized. The head manager Jeff took over with exceptional customer service and has made the situation right. He offered my friend and I to come back for a meal anytime in the future provided on a gift card. It's refreshing that this company still has customer service at its core values. Which I believe will keep them around for years to come. Thank you, O'Niells.
Food is always great here. However, I had a disturbing experience there yesterday. Went in, and the waiter could not form a sentence. He was walking around with a confused look on his face and squinting. He took my drink order, and I didn't get the drink for 25 minutes. He then proceeded to take my drink to the wrong table. My friend wanted to leave because he was so impaired, but decided to get a drink because she had to wait for me to finish mine. We decided not to order food because he then brought her the wrong drink. We asked for the check, which he brought right away but didn't come back to charge us. So we asked another waitress to charge my friends card (as I was just paying her my part), but the waitress said she was too busy, although she was standing at one of the check out machines. So, she took our card to our waiter. He didn't come back to our table, and we waited for over 20 minutes. So we walked over to him and asked for the card back, and he got angry and said, "I gave you your card back!!" We said you didn't come back at all. So all the workers started frantically looking in their pockets and on the counters for the card. I looked over at a vacant table by the door, mind you nowhere near our table, and saw a card with a receipt and pen. I asked my friend to check if that was her card. Sure enough, it was. I asked to speak to the manager and the guy told me, "Leave and don't come back!!"I said no, you're ridiculous, I want to talk to the manager." The manager was standing right there and started apologizing but didn't know what to do. The waiter forcefully handed me $20 and told me again to "Leave and never come back." I handed the money back to the manager in disbelief that they would allow a waiter to treat their customers that way. My friend was holding a water bottle and was opening and closing the lid due to anxiety, and another waiter standing there turned around and said, "OH MY GOD, DID YOU JUST CLAP YOUR HANDS? My friend was like, "No, it was my water bottle." The manager had to turn around and tell the 2 employees to stop. I asked the manager to make our experience right as we were planning on coming for brunch the next day but had now changed our minds about ever coming back. As this whole experience lasted for over an hour and now we were leaving hungry to find somewhere else to eat. He did offer to give us brunch on the house, but we decided not to go back due to the rude staff. We will not be back to O'Niells. I hope this experience doesn't happen to other people.
Called ahead after a bad experience at another "Irish pub". Amber took care of me, and my experience was SUPER AWESOME! I would definitely recommend this place to ALL my friends that happen to be in Albuquerque.. Fast forward, two or three days later and I'm back. Amber is STILL THE ABSOLUTE BEST! She now anticipates what I want without being told😍. Mr. Jordan is a pleasure to chat with and we both share Irish heritage. I LOVE THIS PLACE!
A bigger wine selection would be nice, but the service was good, the wedge salad excellent, and the heated and covered patio provides a year-round alternative to the loud and crowded bar.
The puppy patio was great! Fish and chips were hot n fresh. Lamb in the Sheppard's pie was so flavorful and not greasy 👌 cheese curds were awesome in the poutine will be back for sure
Either one of the 2 spots, you can't go wrong with them. Even my friends from out of town know and ask, "when are we going to that Irish place you love"..lol🙂
Very fun place to go with some friends, it's a small place with no TV so it might not be the best hang out spot but really good food
