PROS: the food is on point, it was hot, fresh, and flavorful. The prices are reasonable. There’s plenty of parking. The service was great. It’s a no-frills Mexican joint and all the people there were Mexican so that’s a good sign. CONS: cash only, hard to access the parking lot in part due to roadwork, the bathroom was out of order.

Cash only! Hands down the best meal we had in New Mexico. It is the definition of a hole in the wall, but the food was amazing. They have a variety of burritos, gorditas, tacos and menudo only on Saturday and Sunday. We ordered five different tacos and they were all good. The menudo was so amazing and filled with lots of organs I couldn't name. The horchata was good too and comes in a giant cup. I suggest ordering more than you think you'll eat. It's so cheap! I would have ordered more, but didn't want to wait another 15 min for food. El Paisa has a steady line of customers and it takes a while to get your order. Definately appeals to the working class, but everyone needs to look past the decor and come here.

Best Mexican food in town. Everything is the delicious, and even on a busy day the wait is not that long. The staff is super nice and helpful. They only take cash, but it's absolutely worth a trip to the ATM to get the best tacos in town.

Best Taqueria in Albuquerque!!! Everything is perfectly cooked. The meats are tender and well seasoned. Salsas are delicious (be careful with the red). My only request, can you please put a location in the heights?! I would be there every day!!!!

Quite literally the best street style tacos I have ever had! The meats are delicious and I could drink the salsas- they’re that good. The woman who took my order was so so sweet and the food came out within 10 minutes. I don’t typically leave reviews but this taqueria blew me away and deserves the recognition.

I wanted a hole in the wall Mexican place because I finally always have the absolute best Mexican food when it comes to authentic food I love their taco de Lengua. I also had a shredded beef and potato with red chili burrito which was so moist and tender. You could also get the old style Cokes here which I dig when I’m eating Mexican food in.

Had the carne Asada tacos which were excellent, and the red salsa was spicy and delicious. Definitely worth a drive across town to come and visit, I was told they were good and was not disappointed! Very reasonably priced, too.

This is a great taco shop it’s local, original, authentic, cool, clean and great service. It is the GO TO taco in Albuquerque, but it isn’t perfect. The tacos are pretty small and a little dry (even with sauce) but well priced and an overall great experience.

I didn't get a picture of my Chicharron, bean burrito, but it was a good sized burrito for the price, plus the taste was exquisite! I can't hardly wait for my next Dr. appointment so I can try something else!👍

When you see an extension to a restaurant and signs with extra parking lot, you know for sure that's the spot to eat at. The first thing we saw as we were parking was the variety of people coming in, Asian, African, Anglo, Mexican. Tacos are $1.50 and very well served, 3 tacos were enough for my kids were at other places they usually can eat 7 of the small street tacos. We had the carne asada, barbacoa (cabeza), pastor and all were BOMB!!!?

Food is always delicious and made fresh when ordered. We make the drive anytime we're craving tacos and gorditas, and the multiple horchatas are always worth a try. Our family has been going here for over a decade and we have NEVER been disappointed - best Taqueria in Abq, hands down.

Best authentic Mexican tacos around. Wonderful tasting salsas . I don’t recommend the agua de melon . It was so thick it wouldn’t come up the straw. Other than that my visit was very good . Worth the drive .
