I've been going to oak tree café for the past three years and that food is always fresh and delicious
I recommend the Hawaiian burger or a Hawaiian chicken sandwich or my girlfriends all-time favorite i'll white tuna sandwich with pickles and fresh macaroni salad.
The best Reuben sandwich I have ever eaten! The apple coleslaw was top notch! The service, facilities and customer service was superb! A comfortable setting! I will definitely pass on the word to my family and friends visiting Albuquerque, NM to stop by!

Awesome place for lunch good brew selection super quality food cant get much better burgers r amazing n big, the meatball sandwich is great awesome flavor have em add green chile, the fish n chips is awesome on Fridays and my favorite sandwich if you like artichoke and balsamic dressing is the Don Juan!
Came here last year while clearing out my folks place--we loved it so much we had lunch here three days in a row! We were staying in ABQ for a long weekend this past weekend and the fried pickles here were calling our names--we had to come back.
Staff is wonderful....sandwiches are really good and the pickles....you have to try them odd as that may sound.... we'd recommend this place to anyone living or staying in Albuquerque
Freaking great place love it great food great drinks ! Loving staf!!! Wouldn't go any where else!!!!!!
Great place, food and service, the St Paddy’s day atmosphere was fun. Black Orchid was surprisingly good.
Great food and an awesome beer selection. Service, second to none. Fish on Friday's is absolutely amazing. Great place to hang out.
The food is good, the beer is cold and the staff is very friendly and efficient
Great sandwiches, French fries are to die for, best tuna plate in town, the owners are a joy.
Went there for a quick bite - WOW! This place is awesome! The service was amazing (the owners are there making sure everything goes perfect) and the food was absolutely incredible! Will be back for sure!
Robert and his crew are dedicated to making you happy the food is great I recommend them to everyone
Superb Reuben sandwich. Best I’ve found in New Mexico. I will return.
First time here, awesome food and great mix with the Black Orchard!!
First time there as I don't get to Albuquerque often. Food was great (I had the Extreme French Dip) and the owner sincerely thanked me for coming in. I will be back!
Awesome friendly staff and great food. Great for business or a solid lunch. When looking for healthier and better food this is where I go. Love the Sara's wrap.
Oh My God after all these duper cheesy and fried items we had for days and those super heavy Mexican lunches/ dinner we tried this joint nearby our office.
Being a vegetarian I had to goo 'All Veggie' plus the fritters and seriously I loved it. The lunch we had that day was delicious and the owners are also friendly.
This isn’t Burger King! You can’t have it your way.You get it our way or you don’t get it at all. For some reason, human beings seem inclined to level criticism by the shovelful while apportioning praise and plaudits by the thimbleful. We seem genetically predisposed to put more stock into negativity than we are to believe the best of others. We consider compliments to be based on insincerity or ulterior motives. Even our television viewing preferences gravitate toward gratuitous depictions of misbehavior and depravity. We consider unwatchable any movie or television show portraying kindness and humanity.
The food is always delicious and the staff is very friendly. It's become one of our favorite regular places to go for lunch. Highly recommend it.
One of the best local places to eat in ABQ. The food at the Oak Tree Cafe is simply delicious. I see some complaints about price, but you get what you pay for. The prices seem just right to me. If I want a $1.00 hamburger I'll go to McDonalds.
The entire menu is diverse, entertaining and fulfilling. The owner is on the premises - not sitting in some ivory tower. He's in the kitchen and he knows his stuff. Whether you want the best chef's salad in New Mexico or a sandwich made with bread that melts in your mouth, this is the place to go.
Lines can be long at lunch - but then again long lines are almost always an indicator that people like the joint.
Try this place. Order anything on the menu. You'll go home satisfied.
This place is not only great, but very accommodating. They customized my wrap and it was outstanding. The owners couldn't be nicer. Every once in a while you catch a restaurant on a bad day. I get that. Today, they were perfect.
Great little neighborhood cafe. Excellent selection of quality craft beer. Love the garage door opens out onto a lovely patio for extra dining space. Tried several different burgers. Excellent. Nice sourdough bun with quality toppings. Tried the appetizer sample. Will definitely order again. Quality everywhere. Friendly staff. Look forward to returning soon.
Local Lunch Spot. I work nearby and have stopped here about 5 times. It is usually good food and friendly service but today I noticed a difference. I called in my order and picked it up in about 15 min later. The owner who is usually very outspoken and friendly was not so much today and my order was just okay. It was the Extreme sandwich which is a french dip with provolone and green chile. Overall it was very dry, the baguette was hardly chewable unless it was soaked in the au jus and the beef was very tough and dried out. Still edible and at least the side of fruit was fresh. I'll try again but stick to my favorite the Cobb Salad.
Love this place, Service & Food are AMAZING....Fried Pickles A Must!
My new Tuesday watering hole! Very friendly staff, I recommend the fried pickles and State Pen Porter. If you like fast service and your food made the way you ordered come here!
Good time. We ate there on July 31st for first time, very nice place. Rob and staff were very good and friendly. We had the fried green beans with green chile ranch, then each a green chile burger - mine the Janet version. I liked it, we're definitely going back.
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was great! Burgers are super juicy and cooked just to my liking. Definitely recommend it to others
Beer, sandwiches, burgers and KILLER onion rings!. We've been here twice now since they've relocated to the Alameda location near the Balloon Fiesta Park. We'd never been previously and are so thrilled we tried the Oak Tree!
The owner is personable, runs a great place and even remembers your name! The first time we visited he introduced himself to us and we discussed the onion rings. He mentioned they make a Black & Tan onion ring also on certain days.
When we returned he remembered us even though it had been a month! He sent an order to our table and they were THE best onion rings we'd ever eaten ~ bar none!
Our sandwiches were excellent both times, the staff was very friendly and approachable. The inside of the building has been done very nicely and they have a glass garage type door that opens to allow easy access to the patio seating. I imagine it would be a great place to sit during the Balloon Fiesta as you'd have a wonderful view.
We noticed on the chalkboard at the front door that they also have a happy hour. There are great appetizers and most of the sandwiches come with a side of apple coleslaw (just enough apple taste, but not too much), pasta salad - very light and peppery or I think a fruit cup (don't quote me here).
Prices were reasonable for the amount of food we got and I think the Oak Tree Cafe is a great addition to this area of town. Try it, you'll like it!
A friend took us here for lunch and it was great. The line to order went fast and they were quick to bring the sandwiches out. I had the extreme and it was a really great sandwich. Was so big you can take the rest home for later. The service was awesome. Overall a great place that I would recommend to anyone
The food was great. I'm so glad we came across such a quaint place with a hometown feeling.
Ate lunch the other day. Had the special, a meatball sub on a bagette. Very tasty and served up very quickly. The place had a friendly neighborhood vibe. Really enjoyed it.
This was my first time here. The atmosphere was great. There was a long line to order but it went very fast. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Love this place.
2nd time at the Oak Tree and it’s just as good as the 1st time. I ordered the roasted raspberry chipotle wrap as a sandwich instead. My husband got the Al Capone. We both loved our meals. My boys ordered burgers and devoured them before I could take a pic. The owner is super friendly and fun to chat with. So so good!
Delicious food, fresh drinks on tap, great service, and comfortable atmosphere. I've been wanting to try this place and am glad I did! Highly recommend it and will definitely be back.
One of the best burgers I've ever had. Beer battered onion rings were tasty,
the house brewed sodas are different and also really good. Highly recommended!
The best sandwiches!!
This is a must try. My personal favorite is the Monty Hall. Turkey, green chile, cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo on a baguette. OMG, so delicious!!
Extremely friendly people with great service. Stop by, you won't regret it.
Outstanding family owned and operated business! Over the many years I’ve been coming to Oak Tree Cafe I can honestly say that I’ve never had a meal I didn’t love. The food is consistently high quality, and delicious. I typically order whatever the daily special that they are offering but honestly you can’t go wrong with anything on their diverse menu. The sandwiches are mouthwatering. The salads are always refreshing and are usually large enough to have leftovers. The dining area is always clean and well-equipped for gatherings family or casual business meetings. They also have a great patio with a view of the majestic Sandia mountains. As for drink options they offer a full line of premium fountain sodas and several beers are always on tap.
Perhaps more impressive than the food is the service. This is a family owned and operated establishment and you can feel the love and care from the moment you walk in the door. You can almost always spot the husband / wife / daughter trio working tirelessly to ensure a great experience. Always with a warm smile and kind disposition. If you are a regular they will typically address you by name. This is a rare occurrence in the post-Covid world we live in.
This restaurant is a 30 minute drive for me but it’s always worthwhile. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.
Oak Tree is a wonderful, locally owned restaurant. The quality of their dishes is top-notch, along with their ingredients. Every single thing I have had there is delicious, fresh and served with a smile. It is one of the best values for your money in town.
I had their Taos sandwich -roast beef, Monterey jack, mayo, green chile, tomatoes, sautéed onions, etc- and absolutely loved it. Thick, tasty slices of beef, perfect bun, golden onions- all of it was so enjoyable, I wish I made it last longer haha! Service is very conscientious about keeping safe health procedures, and they were very friendly. It was quick, delicious, and a good price. Definitely want to come back!
This is by far one of my favorite sandwich places. It's so delicious and the staff is awesome. Plus, they always know what I want. Check out their Al Capone and apple slaw. 🤤
I like the place. It was my first time and I tried the sandwich, it tasted good, it tasted better than the salad.
My first visit and it was delicious. I had the guacamole burger and fries. The atmosphere is fun too. I recommend eating here. I will be going back soon.
Second time here. First time was lack luster but this time much better. Had a hamburger and it was a good size, tasty, and quickly prepared. I'll go again.
