Always thought I disliked Asian food.
I went in expecting to leave disappointed.
Had the AZUMA steak with rice and noodles.
Hands down. Some of the best food I have ever had.
Something about it being cooked in front of you makes a phenominal difference.
Service was good. Cooks were fantastic.
Definitely a new obsession of mine. Worth every penny.
One of my families favorite places to eat when we are in Albuquqerque! Highly recommend it. Took my Head Start class there for a field trip lunch. The kids enjoyed it and so did their families!
It's a great place to enjoy great company, you really get what you pay its amazing. Plus entertainment. I'm a review before buy kinda girl and I promise you will not be disappointed. Tiger sushi is absolutely delicious. Hope this helps
Azuma Sushi is so good! That was my first time ever trying sushi and it was truly amazing! I love sushi now and I highly recommend it!
My favorite date place! Love the hibachi side and for the sushi side I recommend the tiger tear roll!

This Place Had A Beautiful Atmosphere And We Had A Great Experience Watching Not Only Our Chef But The Around At Tge Other Tables As Well! The Food Is Beyond Delicious! The Noodles Were Perfect, The Rice Was Plump Yet Tender, And The Meats Were Juicy, Tender Abd Cooked Just Right. This Was My First Experience Eating At A Japanese Restaurant And I Am Hooked Now! Unfortunately, I Will Always Compare Every Other Japanese Restaurant To Azuma Sushi And Teppan ABQ And That Will Not Be Fair To The Other Restaurants Out There. Thank You For Making My First Experience So Enjoyable! ♡ Enjoy!!!

Azuma never disappoints! The only complaint is they make you wait until most of the seats are filled before they take your order. So if you don't want to wait, make sure you bring enough friends and family to fill the seats. THe food is great, and the atmosphere can be fun with the right people.
Typically our first thought for sushi. Service is hit and miss when it comes to frequency of attention but the staff is always super nice and helpful. Wait times for sushi to roll out is hit and miss aswell. Sometimes it's quick and sometimes your there awhile. But never had an issue with quality or taste.
Seated immediately and the service was spot on! We enjoyed appetizers, entrees and desserts along with some happy hour beers! Our waiter gets a special nod because he was hustling, coming back to see if we needed anything. Really enjoyed our meal and the fabulous service!
Best sushi in Albuquerque! This place never disappoints. The sushi is fresh and innovative. They also have a hibachi side that I'm sure is wonderful but the sushi is so good that I always go for the sushi. Their hottest is wonderful. I get the hot tea no matter what time of year it is. The food is always good from sushi to teppan and the service is great. My favorite thing about this place is they open early you don't have to wait until 4:30pm. The teppan grill is entertaining for all ages especially kids. I would recommend this spot for lunch or dinner. Great local Asian food to have in New Mexico.
What a wonderful dinner for our anniversary!!! We sat the communal flattop table and the gentleman cooked everything right in front of us with style and great humor. Everything was delicious, my scallop and shrimp, and my partner's steak were cooked perfectly, and the garlic noodles were a lovely surprise.
The food was good the server Nancy was very Nice. The atmosphere was great 👍. I was kind of disappointed in the chef but he did okay. Thank you Nancy for making my son's birthday 🎂 awesome. I would go back but hopefully not get the same chef.
Really enjoyed the service. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I loved our chef on the hibachi grill, but he overcooked my shrimp which only takes 4 to 5 minutes to cook and was cooking all the steak before my shrimp which caused it to be rubbery. I also spent more money on my shrimp then the other customers. Hoping the chef corrects this for next time because I may as well have ordered the steak at that point.
The last time I was at Azuma I took a date with me. We had fun here. I have been there several times. My date is was her first time. We sat on the grill side. We had a grill to our self. It was to busy that night. The cook was great. I forgot he's name but he was very good. He cooked our food properly. The waitress was very attentive to us. Everytime I go to Azuma I always have fun here. It's a great place to take ur date or family. I will definitely go back for dinner maybe lunch.
The wait was over an hour but once we were eating, we forgot all about the wait! :) our cook was amazing & food was so good.
Always a 5 star restaurant in my book! We love Nancy's service, her smile and quick service is unbeatable! If only ALL the chef's had a sense of humor and cracked a few jokes.., there are few that are just plain boring! Ppl like to come to watch the excitement of the food cooking before thier eyes, it makes it even better when you make them laugh too. This is my favorite place to eat, going on 14 yrs!

Super delicious! I came here with a bunch of friends and boy did we have a great time. The guy was super entertaining and friendly. He did things with my food I never thought we're possible. Spinning and balancing eggs like a champ. I do wonder if they by chance teach these sort of skills or does everybody applying already know how to spin an egg on a spatula. What other skills do they have I wonder, just probably performing under pressure is the big one I'd imagine. I'm sure some of these people have taken acting or improv classes but maybe the mystery must remain. if you eat there feel free to ask him these questions and let me know. Thanks.
Nice atmosphere, cool and somewhat muted lighting. Spider hand roll was great. Masago was off, didn't have the fresh brine taste I was expecting. I sat at the sushi bar, but had to order sushi through a floor waiter. Looks like a good place to try the Teppanyaki.
