I come from a tradition that believes every meal must contain meat. But, I have to tell you, this was a meal, and a good one at that. Wonderfully satisfying to the palate and stomach. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good food.
Am spices of india serves a wide array of lip smacking indian delicasies especially gujrathi. Their lunch buffet is awesome and a must have. The best vegetarian lunch buffet i have had so far . Kudos to Mr.ketan and team . Looking forward for my next visit. If you are looking for an indian vegetarian/ vegan food then this is the place. !!!
the food here is fantastic, period. the chaats are like nothing available in the rest of the city, and the spice profiles in the dishes are perfectly complex and balanced. bonus: the owners are supremely sweet and so welcoming to my toddler. come for the food, stay for the best chai in town. <3
Best Indian food in Albuquerque. Lots of character to this place... I'd recommend you let yourself be charmed by it and enjoy the amazing food. Been there 4 times in 2 weeks since I found it. I tried different things each time and everything is amazing.

I stopped by for lunch during a conference. I was welcomed by who felt like my Indian grandmother. I had paneer chilli and garlic cheese naan--made to order. The chef even asked what spices I liked as she made everything. Must go.
That's the awesome Indian restaurant. The preparations those are served, you cant find anywhere in the city. Its the best value for your money, and time. Nice people, and very good management. I visited the restaurant with my family, and every one was happy having delicious food at economic rates.
Very nice environment, great service, hospitable. Highly recommend especially if you are a vegetarian or Vegan. The owners are more than willing to cater to your dosha.
This place is super yummy. The food is fresh and the atmosphere warm and cozy. I had the buffet and got to try some different Indian dishes that I had not had before. I will definitely be going back.
Was visiting from a small town and had to get my Indian fix. I am so glad this was close to my hotel. Having a buffet in the evening was a nice surprise so I did not have to choose. Everything was great. The flavors were just right. Now I need an excuse to visit again soon.

It was nice and good dining. The food was very good and it had the taste just like in India. We were unable to find a good Indian outing from past few days but this dining gave us a satisfying experience of Indian food.
By far the best and authentic Indian vegetarian food we have had in the area. The service was outstanding. So glad to have come across it - will be frequented on a regular basis!

So far I have eaten at Am Spices of India for three times with my family. I must say that this is the BEST India/Vegetarian cuisine of the town, were Vegan, Jain, Gluten Free options are available in addition of regular menu items. I did feel & experience that the food was fresh, and was unlike other cuisines, it was made without using any preservatives or artificial color. All the dishes I ordered was made to order each time. The options they serve fulfilled liking of my each family member in age group of three generations and it was in fact very delicious. Here I will not forget to mention that the food including the buffet served by them was the best, I have ever eaten in United States in last more than 40 years of my stay here.
Due to such fabulous food quality, I ordered Am Spices of India to cater my personal get together party, arranged on 10/10/2015, while I invited my family friends. I ordered for full dinner including two appetizers for more than 60 people. As usual, the food was amazing and was enjoyed & appreciated by my each & every guest whole heartedly.
I strongly recommend to visit the restaurant at least once, as according to me it's one of the place of down town, ABQ, where one should not miss to visit. You will find authentic Indian - Vegetarian taste, and the best hospitality, where owner/s themselves takes care of each minors issue for the best customer service and satisfaction.
I have visited Am Spices of India more than 5 times, every time I ordered different food, food is too delicious, owners are very much service oriented, great hospitality!
AM Spices has some of the best Indian food I've ever had! Very authentic, plus I always feel good after I eat it (very important!). My favorite dish is the Kitchari. Very nourishing and healing. You can tell the food is made with LOVE...also very important :)
Delicious. Fresh, REAL Indian food, so much better than most Indian restaurant food here, which is much blander, fattier, and just poorly done compared to the real thing back home. The food at Am Spices is delicious, healthy (no butter) and wonderfully spiced (must be freshly ground spices?).
We have eaten at the restaurant buffet twice, and loved it both times. Now we're having lunch delivered to our office everyday because we love the food so much.
Sooo good!. So friendly, wonderful food, good prices :) was just stopping through and this was worth the stop.
Everything was great! We were overwhelmed by all of the menu items so we chose some of the recommended choices... they were fantastic and there was so much food that we ate until we were stuffed and couldn't eat anymore and there was plenty left. Very small family restaurant feel...event we had was delicious the hosts were great! None of us were vegetarian but we were not left wanting!
So delicious!. I have a feeling this new spot in Downtown Albuquerque is going to be bad news for my wallet. I have worked in the area for years and am always looking for new options to try. Today, I called ahead to order the lunch box. It was SO GOOD. I will definitely get it again! One thing I noticed is that it was different and more expensive than noted on their website and pdf menu. Maybe those just need to be updated? Still worth it (considering how delicious it was), but I was expecting slightly more food and a slightly lower price.
