A very casual family dining joint. We came around noon, it was not busy at all on a weekday. First time here so we chose the bento box and got several drinks to try. Bento box comes with some four pieces of California rolls, pickled veggies, a bowl of rice, salad, miso soup, some fruits, and good variety tempura. We chose chicken karaage and pork katsu for the main protein. Tempura is very crispy and fresh. There are onion, pumpkin, shrimp, zucchini and sweet potato. Drinks are packaged can and bottle. From the exterior, I didn’t expect the authentic taste. It’s truly a hidden gem!

Masahito and Kelly are amazing restaurant owners. They are lovely and so welcoming. We have become regulars. The food is just exquisite. It is authentic, skillfully made Japanese food that is infused with lots of love. Thank you!

I love this place! This restaurant is locally owned and the owners are there daily, cooking and serving the customers. The bento boxes have so much food with all different varieties to chose from. My favorite is the gyoza bento box (their sauce is to die for) and the teriyaki chicken bento box! I have had the baked mussels and the baked calamari salad (my new favorite). Everything is freshly cooked. Highly recommend! Place does get pretty busy, so be patient…it’s worth it, everyone is short staffed these days!

Rare Gem of Japanese food. Coming from LA, I would say the Japanese food are pretty authentic and delicious. I ordered Nabeudon and it came pipping hot and noodles cooked just right. Love those Green chili Tempura!

We are so happy we tried this authentic Japanese restaurant. They have delicious brown curry, which is hard to find here! We got bento boxes, egg rolls ( Japanese style yummm) and the brown curry. Service was ok, but she was the only one for the whole place, but no big deal. They have a little section in the restaurant that is a tiny Japanese market. Picked up some goodies. We will definitely be back.

The shabu shabu is a great deal ($22). Fed 2 of us easily, definitely could feed 3 people. The beef was very tender and the broth was delicious. And the sesame sauce that came for dipping was the best I've had 10/10 We also got some nigiri, but both agreed we'll probably just split the shabu shabu next time since there was plenty of food for us without the additional nigiri. I will note their hours may have just changed since they were closing early at 1:30p.m. instead of 2p.m.

Delicious and fresh sashimi! We enjoyed everything that we ordered. Very cost effective compared to other restaurants. Extensive menu of items to choose from sushi to Ramen. Quite little place to enjoy a good meal.

Only been here a few times, but always delicious! Perfect homestyle Japanese cuisine, the dishes are always tasty, rich, and hearty, without being too heavy. Service is prompt and dishes priced very nicely. Always a quiet joy to visit. Must get over here more.

Very friendly staff and delicious tonkatsu! Not sure what sort of dashi or marinade they use on it, but I liked it even more than the tonkatsu at the (now defunct) Magokoro, even though it wasn't as crispy. Will definitely be going back!

Authentic Japanese food ran by an actual Japanese restaurant owner!!! (Very rare in Albuquerque) As someone who not only has spent time in Japan and who is a Japanese descent, I can honestly say you will be getting the real thing!

The service was not great. She was the only one working and had 8 other tables. But I recommend this place for the food. We ordered the shabu shabu. You get a stock pot, veggies, sauce, meats and you get to cook it all at the table fresh. Awesome concept, and so so good. I enjoyed everything I tasted, food is definitely worth it, and it came out pretty quick. I will definitely be back for this, go check it out!!

Very good. The food was delicious and the flavors were very authentically Japanese. Coming from the east coast, I've found it hard to find great sushi places here but this is one place I'd visit again.

Everything was flavorful and delicious, though the sushi can quickly add up to quite the tab if you're not careful because you can just keep eating it. Definitely recommend trying though.

It’s really good Hotpot lunch, we had 1/2&1/2 Shabu Shabu& Sukiyaki!! Two people for 1 price $24. The sliced beef is very tender!! (They also gave us miso soup.) We all loved the hotpot, will definitely come back to try other type of hot pot, bento lunch boxes, and curry plates. (Also they sale several Japanese drinks/snacks inside the restaurant!) If you want to try home style /authentic Japanese food, COME and Try this restaurant, you’ll love it too!!
