We hired Small Cakes to make a custom designed cake for our engagement party and it was fabulous! We had so many great compliments from guests and we were so pleased that we also hired Small Cakes for our wedding. Leading up to the wedding, Nicole was very helpful by corresponded with me several times via email and phone to answer questions and provide pricing information. She met with me and was friendly, patient, and professional while helping me decide exactly what flavors and quantities to order. We had them make a 3-tiered wedding cake, a groom’s cake, and additional cupcakes for our wedding. The cakes/cupcakes were beautiful, delicious, and very well priced. The quality of the service we received leading up to and on the wedding day was exceptional and all of the desserts were fantastic! We would highly recommend Small Cakes!
Delicious, moist cupcakes with very generous amounts of whipped toppings and beautiful presentation overall. My favorite (not pictured) was the carrot cupcake and it was delicious. Smooth and creamy cream cheese frosting, I recommend it.
This store is great and the owner we talked to gave us a wonderful experience! He is a local and bakes everything in house. From wedding cakes to cupcakes, this place is the one stop shop for all things cake! Go check it out! Their seasonal flavor is pumpkin with a cinnamon whipped cream, featured in attached picture. Yum!
Came in yesterday (Tuesday) at around 6:30. The gentleman at the counter was kind, generous, and helpful to our questions. Cupcakes were AMAZING! Best cupcakes I've had in Albuquerque. Overall a very positive experience. We'll definitely be back!
Gluten free cupcakes are delicious! Can’t even tell they are different. Tried the vanilla birthday cake frosting and chocolate. Gluten free cupcakes made on Friday. They were stored covered and the staff were very friendly and helpful. You get to choose your frosting flavor. Thank you Smallcakes!

Smallcakes is amazing! Between my wife and I, we have ordered 3 custom cakes and many cupcakes. The cake is truly delicious and they're excellent cake decorators for a reasonable price! I highly recommend this store.

One of the better Smallcakes I've been too. This is one of my favorite sweets places and I go to any location I come near :) They had a lot of daily variety here which is getting harder to find. I love the regular flavors but it's the unique ones that keep me curious so it was definitely a plus. I went 3 times while I was in the area for a month! Nice folks working there too. If I have any downside to point out at all- it's the parking. Not much of it and kind of hard to maneuver. Worth it though :)
The quality and taste of the bakery products these folks make is top notch. We hired small cakes to cater our wedding and most recently our baby shower. They have been a part of our major life events as a couple since we moved to NM. That should tell you everything you need to know about this company!! Fantastic service!
Best 1st birthday smash cake! My daughter absolutely LOVED the lemon smash cake Small Cakes made! The decorations on the cake were beautiful! The cupcakes were divine that we got for everyone else to enjoy while our daughter enjoyed her smash cake! (I did smudge out my daughter’s name in the picture).
Happened upon the cupcakery after dinner out and stopped on a whim with the kids. Best decision ever! We got a dozen cupcakes in different flavors and they turned out to be incredibly moist and delicious. I'm diabetic and don't indulge often, but I'll make an exception for these cupcakes. Ten thumbs up! Will definitely be returning.
Awesome awesome awesome cupcakes. I wish I could eat them every day. The cake is very moist and there’s always a generous amount of butter cream on top. They have such great flavors and seasonal variety.
We’ve bought cupcakes from Smallcakes before and they’re always delicious! The service is outstanding and today we got a good deal on their new “pie” cakes. The guy working was so nice to us and I can’t wait to try the cakes. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for good cake or cupcakes!
I stopped by today to get some cupcakes for our offices June birthdays. In truth a couple would be going to my kids as well. The owner was super helpful, let me know when gluten free options are available( as it’s a dietary concern for one of the birthday people)and was pleasant to talk with. The cupcakes were all delicious, the wedding cake divine. Can’t thank you enough , we will definitely be back.
Wonderful staff and amazing cupcakes! The staff were so welcoming and told us what the flavors were. The cupcakes were out of this world! I had a Lemon Drop cupcake and it was so good! A fun place to pick up something sweet! Definitely need to come back!
I liked how clean it was inside and how it smelled. Disliked how the person on the phone was taking a large order and we had to stand around until he was done. The cupcake appearances were amazing but the cakes part was so so. I had some that were most and then some that had a hard top. I think the frosting is where it's at. I also enjoyed seeing their pupper cakes. I'd go back but maybe when they first open.
Stopped in tonight for some cupcakes. The owner was there and is very kind and generous. The cupcakes look amazing and are delicious. Will definitely be back!
Awesome experience! They were quick to get back to my inquiry email, super nice and professional, and the cupcakes taste great! I had ordered custom cupcakes for my brother's birthday and he absolutely loved them. Will definitely be returning for future cupcake-related needs!
