Authentic Italian food with wonderful characters. We had at least five people wait on us. Usually thats because you cannot get the focus at the staff, but here it was the opposite; all the staff members were paying great attention. We were so well taken care of!!! I ordered a three-course dinner. The portions are wonderful! Would definitely recommend.
I had the three course meal. It was heavenly. The staff was ultra attentive. This place is a gem. The whole neighborhood is a gem.
I'm new to the neighborhood. I stopped here for a quick lunch, by myself, after the gym and I thought the food, the pasta with seafood, and white bean soup, was excellent and the service was impressive. As good as the lunch menu is, I'd like to think the dinner menu will be even more interesting.

Another delicious meal and over the top service by owner Michael Nayari and his staff! We always make the trip to a la Lucia when we are in town and recommend to our friends without hesitation! They make you feel right at home and that you are part of the family.

This rating is for the staff. (I haven't had the pleasure of dining here yet) But they were having a very busy day (during the Alexandria birthday celebration) but my nephew and nieces were treated very kindly by the staff here. We won't forget that!

Had a wonderful meal there last evening. Had an excellent petit filet, mushroom ravioli, scallops, etc. Service was extraordinary.

Excellent restaurant! One of our "go to" places when we lived in Alexandria. We try to go back whenever we visit the area.

I recently had a friend visit from England. He was here for three weeks and we ate at a lot of restaurants in DC, Virginia and Maryland during his visit. In the end he felt the a la Lucia was one of the few restaurant he wanted to dine at more the once. Lovely evening with wonderful food.
