Pleasant surprise! I came here while waiting for our escape room to begin and it happened to be happy hour. The food was pretty good and the music was on point. We ordered the crab dip and the nachos without the pork. Our bartender/waiter John was great...very kind and personable. I definitely plan on returning.
Food was amazing and service was excellent! Seated right away but they need to hire more people so customers aren't flagging down waiters. We were served by the bartender. He was super friendly and very personable.
We had the gnocchi, mussels, fried crab deviled eggs, and the make your own mac and cheese (with salmon and broccoli). Great portion sizes. So filling
I forgot the deviled eggs were fried and didn't like the crunch of the egg but taste wise delicious!
The music was kind of loud and we did have to wait a little while for our drinks but we were in no rush. Overall atmosphere was awesome.
The women's restroom sinks were dirty with hair and what I believe was makeup but other than that it was clean.
Love this place! Great trustworthy local spot with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Amazing food and drink selection including wines designated as female-owned which I thought was pretty cool. They also do private events and are very accommodating. Duncan was my bartender upstairs last night and he is amazing! Outstanding service. Highly recommend this place!

Reviews were interesting so I marked this as a want to try on my map. I coincidentally ate here after walking in here when intending to eat next door. I checked out the menu and was interested to stay and try the Cubana sandwich.
Host was friendly and after I decided I wanted to stay and asked for a table, he took me upstairs to a table. Wait staff stopped by promptly and I was able to order. Not sure if I missed something, but it turned out to be bar service, so I had no service rest of the evening. I went to the bar to pay for dinner and leave. Upstairs is a bar area, but when I ask for a table, I expected table service. I should have just sat at the bar.
I understand this COVID world is difficult to find help. The doorman was reading his job description when I arrived and the wait staff that took my order said she had started only a few hours ago. And they would not take my first credit card - strange issue and staff being new I suppose didn't want to figure it out so I just used a less convenient card.
The Cubana sandwich was good. French fries were decent. The sandwich had tender pulled pork with crispy pickles. I was served pretty quickly but yet the sandwich roll was fairly soggy.
All in all, I would try this establishment again, despite the weird and ineffective service. For brand new staff just coming on to the job, I suppose it was ok. Looks like a great place to take a group of friends/coworkers.
We really enjoyed this place. They had a great band. Service was good. Nice historic looking place. Food was great. I would definitely recommend this place.
Nice experience. Caught the happy hour so prices were good.
They might improve the temperature of the beer glasses that were hot and hot out beer to be warm pretty quickly. I had the hamburger that wasn’t very good.

**UPDATE**
Was personally contacted regarding my unpleasant visit (see below), by ownership via messenger and phone. I received sincere apologies and was graciously invited back. Reserved table and all. We were treated very well and everything was GREAT. Overall this experience is one out of many where the customer is treated with value and I can't thank you all enough. To add, this visit happened to also be my mate's birthday and we had a great time thanks to the staff at The Light Horse. See you guys sometime soon!!

My girlfriend and I tried The Light Horse recently, during restaurant week 2022. Nice setup and things were going smooth...until a hair was found in the appetizer. Bothered by that I mentioned it to the server and he told the bartender. I was more disturbed that I didn't notice immediately. I was told no manager was available and the not much could be done at the moment. At that time the bartender offered to refill our mixed drinks...I said that's fine.
We go on to continue our dinner and dessert. I tried the cheesecake. After 1-2 bites I look close....and another hair was found. I stopped immediately and called the bartender, who was serving us at the time. He apologized and offered contact info so that I could speak with an owner or manager. He brought the bill then explaining that only 1 of the 2 drink refills he offered would be on the house. I didn't request it...he offered when the 1st hair was found...to then charge me for it.
I sent a message via FB chat and I called a few times only to be hung up on every time. Not such a good time but I believe it will get better. Hopefully someone calls me soon. I paid my bill though I thoroughly was disappointed and dissatisfied.
Great small plates, drinks and appetizers. Lost a star because their main plates were kind of meh. I should have read between the lines and stuck to the advertised happy hour dishes.
Salmon fillet was well cooked but bland. Just so bland. My friend said the same thing about her salad with grilled chicken.
Great live music on Saturdays! Great games, great vibes. Would go again
