This place is at the top of my list! I live approximately 45 minutes away but it is worth every bit of the drive there. I only have a difficult time drive back home because I always overeat! I have been eating there for 15 plus years is the best I can remember and never have I been disappointed. They are the greatest in service, quantity and quality!

The catfish is real, not Baca or tilapia or any of the fish that restaurants pass off as catfish, it's real grain fed catfish...it's off the chain. ...I was there for all you can eat, catfish...i could not eat all on the first plate..even the salad was excellent. .the onion rings...wow..has a kick to 'em...the service excellent. ...wish I had more stars to give ....
I've been in Alexandria under 3 years and it was my first time there. The server was very pleasant, the food was delicious. I got the onion rings with my dinner instead of fries and they were awesome. Using purple onions give them a totally different flavor. I'm not a big fan of coleslaw, but you've got it down. Moving here from New Orleans it was a great meal. I'll be back!!
The smoked oysters are the best. Will definitely be back. I highly recommend
I am here from Fort Worth Texas visiting an old friend. I asked them to take me to a good seafood resteraunt. They did not know of one. So we Googled area resteraunts and found you guys. We were pleasantly surprised on how good the food was. We got there shortly before closing and they still treated us like they had just opened. The service was excellent and our waitress was knowledgable and very courteous.If I ever find myself in Alexandria again I will definately have you all on my to do list.

Haven't had a good shrimp po boy since I had one here. I got another one to go. Fried pickles on point. Crab cakes and all. Dang, I shouldn't tell y'all this. Might be tough for me to get a seat next time.
Great food, and excellent service !! I love the fried seafood , I can't wait to go back and try the grilled ! And I also love their boiled crawfish , when in season

Robbie G's has me addicted to their tartar sauce and I don't even like tartar sauce. Their unique flavor is unlike any other. I crave Robbie G's at least twice a week and the service has always been great. Great local small business.

This is a great little restaurant in Alexandria. Food is great! But the best thing they have is the dessert. The bread pudding from this restaurant is the best you will ever tasted. It just melts in your mouth. I promise here you will definitely want to save room for the dessert.
Awesome! Catfish is perfect and the crawfish is nice and spicy. The portions are big and the prices are really reasonable. Best local food we have had so far.
Yummy!. Definitely worth the visit. Boiled crawfish was great and the shrimp poboy was excellent. Fried pickles were ok, but the broccoli cheese bites were out of this world AMAZING. Would highly recommend! PS - Don't be scared of the outside of the building, it is one of "those" places you want to drive by without giving a second look but the food an atmosphere inside definitely make up for the outside's appearance! Big thank you to our waitress too, who took the time to answer all of our questions about the local cuisine.
The shrimp po boys were pretty good. Place is nice. Sadly however the girl behind the register on 2/15 at lunch was not at all friendly and actually was pretty rude. She needs to fix her attitude.
Service was a little slow but the food more than made up for it. Would certainly come back.
Great fOod!!! Catfish and shrimp breaded and fried perfectly. Only down side was there was only one waitress working and that poor girl was running everywhere. Great place

I would eat here again.. Went on Friday night 2/3/12 @ 5 pm when they opened. Glad we got there early. Several tables were ordering crawfish. I had fried catfish - very good - thin strips the way I like them. HOMEMADE onion rings made from red onions - AWESOME! Fried eggplant - GREAT! Food was hot. Waitress was attentive. it's a hole in the wall but those always seem to be the best places, right?
Food was good ESP the duck breast po-boy. Service was poor and if you call about service hours, they will lie to you over the phone even if your parked in front of the building.
Very Very Good!!. Great "hole in the wall" type restaurant. Forget going to the chain places in Alexandria. For seafood...Robbie G's is the place to go. Crawfish are superb, Oysters are great, boild shrimp is to die for!! If you're a local then you know about this place if you're visiting stop by & you will be back for sure.
Best Seafood in Alexandria, LA. This restaurant is roll-up-your-sleeves seafood consumption at it's best. The boiled or grilled shrimp can't be beat. Portions and prices are fairly evenly matched. The gumbo is always good. The boiled crawfish (in season only) are top-notch. Robbie G's even has a light touch with the fried seafood & fish. Go, and enjoy!

A MUST VISIT if you are in Alexandria. Ordered the catfish/shrimp/oyster platter LOTS of food, perfectly breaded and seasoned. Oysters were perfectly salty and sweet. Shrimp was great. Catfish was average. Small thin strips instead of a filet. Great "hole-in-the-wall" feel. Service started off very rocky when waitress got drink order but never returned. But owner followed up and things went smoothly after that. Great place.
Casual Excellence. Crawfish and beer! What more do you need?! This a great place to go for local seafood. The restaurant is small and composed of several long tables that patrons share. Go casual and plan to get your hands dirty with the best yummy spicy crawfish in town
This place is a must try if you’re in the area, especially if it’s crawfish season.
The service is excellent. It is a roadside boil house, very casual, very local and they treat you like a regular.
I had the crawfish (3 lbs, spicey) and they were almost perfect. 95% of the bugs were fresh, but there were a few in my plate that were older/frozen (if the meat sticks to the shell and is mushy, that’s some frozen crawfish).
The spice level was perfect (I like it really spicy, and they delivered on that … my eyes even watered a bit for the first 15-20 bugs).
Good section of beers and beverages.
The bread pudding was the best I’ve ever had. I should say that I haven’t really had a lot of bread pudding in my life, but I read the reviews and figured I’d have to try it.
It is amazing!!! Flat out incredible. But now I feel like I’m spoiled and will not be able to get bread pudding anywhere else this good (guess I’ll have to come back).
Great crawfish & shrimp (fried or boiled). Fast service. Friendly staff. Solid choice for a family meal or gathering of friends.
