Food was great and service was great. Spring rolls were a great starter, then came H17 crispy shrimp in cream sauce which tasted excellent. I finished my meal with sesame balls which were also good. I also had hot tea and ice water. This was my first meal at the Great Hunen but definitely will not be my last.
We came here for dinner tonight. I got the Schezuan style bean curds, my husband got the Kung Pao Chicken, and my father-in-law got the Double Wonder.
Our server, Diane, was wonderful and very attentive! I was impressed with how she was taking care of 20+ tables by herself and still checked in on us to make sure we had everything. It looks like the owners have to take our order so when they didn’t come right away, she immediately informed them and empathized with us.
Of note, I was expecting the food to be spicy and it wasn’t very spicy. There were no Schezuan peppers in my dish and my husband only had 1 in his dish. It was very different from what I was expecting to get but still tasted really great for Chinese American food.
I love this restaurant! Their fried vegetable dumplings and the steamed pork dumplings are excellent, and their wontons are delicious. The restaurant is very pleasant (they did an excellent job on the remodel) and the staff is all very kind. Their vegetable fried rice comes in a large portion too, so lots of good leftovers!
I’m glad I stopped by. I ordered the moo shu pork and they rolled right at the table. It was a nice touch. I wish the hot and sour soup was a little hotter and sour but I would be happy to try more.
A relaxed atmosphere. We were seated right away. Service was prompt and very polite. The food arrived hot and fresh without a long wait after ordering. I will return and highly recommend
Great Chinese restaurant that has the Best Food!! The egg rolls are Huge & Tasty! They have a Huge menu to choose from! Moo Goo Gaipan & the Shrimp and Mixed Vegetables dishes are Fantastic! Very clean and Great atmosphere!! It's our secret "Go-To" place when in Alexandria!!!
Our family usually orders from here every 1-2 weeks. We've loved everything we've gotten here EXCEPT the chicken chow mein. It looks like no chow mein I've ever had before. The staff is also SUPER friendly and helpful.
