I came to Namaste on a holiday so the usual crowd from the nearby business park was absent. The place was very quiet. It was my first time visiting. I ordered the lunch special.
It was SO good! It had a homemade quality to it that you don't get at other places. The lentils were spicy, the bread and garlic fresh. I could see the peppercorns and fresh bay leaves used to flavor it. Everything about it was fresh.
The lunch special consists of 4 or 5 small portions of many different things. The soup, the rice, the lentils, all had their own unique flavoring, but they complemented one another. Over all, it felt exactly like I was eating a homemade, small-kitchen type of meal. I loved it.
Additionally, the price was great. Only $11 for the entire meal. While each individual portion was not large, together they made a large meal. I was totally full. I really liked the food and would go back again.
This place has authentic indian street/comfort food. We loved the meals, generous portions for the price. Stopped by on our vacation here and had to go twice to get our fill. The owners are also friendly making the experience lovelier. A must try place if you are in the area and enjoy flavorful meals.
Awesome!!! Went for the Saturday Brunch which was great and included coffee or Chai tea and fresh fruit juice. $11.00.
It is a fixed menu and I don't recall the names of the dishes, but they were incredible. The staff is so pleasant and caring.
Only wish I had come here sooner but I don't live nearby. Very good food. I'm not Indian so I can't vouch for it but I can say I've never had anything like it and there were plenty of Indians when we arrived. Vegan friendly and they explained what I could get vegan and gluten free.
Great Indian vegetarian food :))) very unique taste. They cook to order almost everything and ready to adjust how spacy we want it.
Best street food in oc, the taste is unmatched and super delicious! They have more than 2 vegan options and I enjoy every dish :) definitely recommend!!
Yummy yummy home cooked style Indian food! The people who run the place are so kind and help explain everything! Don’t pass this place up!!!
Really good. Sold out of what I wanted but tried some other items.
Authentic Indian/Mumbai street food taste. One of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to in Southern California. I drive frequently from San Diego just for the food and the drive is totally worth it. Very nice and friendly people. They have always served fresh food, unlike other Indian restaurants where the food is already precooked and then reheated and brought onto the table. Being from Mumbai myself, I would highly recommend to try their street food options such as vada paav, bhel puri, Mumbai grilled sandwich...
Love love this place! My boyfriend and I discovered this gem when we were craving some Indian food and we're so glad we did. The meals feel and taste home-cooked and the family that runs it is very pleasant. The Dahi Puri is my favorite and honestly nothing on this menu has disappointed me. The only thing I'd mention is it can get a little pricey for the portions but honestly I think that is the American in me that is used to mass-produced larger portions for cheap! Worth every penny.
