Review The Broadcast Booth - Allen Park

Good atmosphere and really good wings. But that's about it. Let me first start off by saying that as a big hockey fan, it's pretty cool to have a bar with a hockey theme. With that said, it's a great place to watch a game. It's also a great place to bring kids, as it has a little game room with air hockey, pool tables and other games. It took them quite a while to seat me, which was annoying, but not a deal breaker. Then I ordered a beer. I initially wanted a labatt on draft, but they didn't have it. Okay, so I ordered a Molsen on draft, which tasted funny and was flat. So then I ordered a pumpkin Griffen claw. And that was terrible also. It was flat and tasted like wet dogs. My wings were good, even though they said they were going to bring the hot sauce on the side and they tossed them instead. But their wings were actually the one thing that prevented me from giving this place a 2 or 3 star on this review. They do play a goal horn everytime someone scores a goal on TV. I found that to be amusing. Overall, this place has great atmosphere and great wings. But that isn't good enough to overcome the flaws this place has. Their prices are kind of high and their beer was absolutely terrible. Their staff's attentiveness is highly questionable as well. I give this place a 4 star. And that is being generous.

Great food. My bartender was a cool guy with a sense of humor. The menu has too many choices. However everything this home made and fresh. The head chef takes a person touch on every dish. She came out clarified my order to make sure it was perfect. The Broadcast Booth is definitely a place I will visit in the future.

The food was good. We ate outside. It was nice. The inside looked nice too. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo with Italian sausage. I liked it a lot. My friend had a pepperoni pizza. He said it was really good. The pizza looked good to me. The menu has a lot of items on it. I want to try the jambalaya next time. The waitress was very nice but she seemed new and didn't know a lot of the menu but that's okay. She was still very helpful and friendly. It seemed like they were understaffed but it was really slow when we went there. I'd go back.

Awesome staff. Great atmosphere to watch games. Fun entertainment for the kids too. Win win! Pizza and their special wings are delicious

Enjoyed my daughter's 21st birthday celebration! Burgers were cooked as ordered & our waitress took great care of us! Not too crowded in afternoon, so we felt very comfortable!

The food is usually pretty good but it takes a very long time. The last time time we went our friends salmon was undercooked so he sent it back, they chopped it up and recooked it but parts were still undercooked. Our waitress was nice but the waitress at the table behind us was extremely rude and yelled at her table and escalated a situation unnecessarily when the table rightfully questioned why their food took so long.

Walked in at ten to 9. Bar was empty except for the friend I was meeting. This was our first time in. Some lights and most of the tvs were off. Asked the girl that finally showed up if they were about to close. She said yes, at 10. So I ordered a beer. She couldnt serve it. Had to wait on the manager who was in the bathroom. “Rosa” if the server listed on the receipt was accurate. Got the beer and my buddies guac showed up. It was yellow. Made the mistake of asking why. She said thats what happens when it “hits the air”. I said only if it sits out, and she started to argue. No worries. Let it go and she walked off. Told my buddy I would wait to eat elswhere. To which she replied from across the bar that that was a good idea. I asked her if thats what she said and she doubled down calling me a trouble maker. Half their customer base was causing problems by asking if the food was ok to eat. I can see where thats an issue. So I said I would take my tab. She closed my friends tab too. Guac was still on it. We paid and left. Without the guac. I would pass on this spot. Trina O’malleys is up the street from here. Friendly staff, lights are on, and they dont make stupid excuses for serving bad food and then kick you out.

Food was ok but our waitress...if you watch the episode of Seinfeld where Kramer is dating the woman who talks way to quietly, that was her. She stood and stared daggers at the bartender not pouring her beer. She was nice, just hard to hear. Would go back again.

My mom and sister and I hosted a Birthday Party for my papa tonight at the Broadcast Booth. Carley was our server and she was awesome!! We had the best time with yummy pizza and appetizers, cold brews and amazing friends and family. If you are looking for a fun casual place to have a party at a reasonable price point, I’d recommend checking it out! And ask for Carley!

This place is the absolute worst! Poor service... my food was cold and not as ordered. Sent it back. Ordered a salad and 20 minutes no Cobb salad. Told her to cancel it! No manager in sight. Finally went seeking that manager who was a total douche bag. Could have cared less! Save your money and go elsewhere!

This place has really taken a slide. Poor staffing and mediocre food at best. The bar tender on my recent visit was not on point. She would not have been my first choice to take care of my Friday night crowd. The Nachos were sparsly topped with over cooked taco meat, cheese, and jalapenos. Buffalo wings dressed in Cisco wing sauce. It all lacked imagination and was ill prepared. The beer selection was okay but the food was a huge disappointment at a premium price. Time for a major rework if you want to continue to command these prices!

Excellent food...Excellent Service! Our waiter, Geoff, was the best! I especially appreciated him making sure there were no carrots on my plate! �

We ordered chicken wings and they were raw and cold inside. We got our meals; the raw mushrooms on the salad were black and spoiled; the fries were frozen on the inside... the waitress was very kind about everything but the food was horrendous and we will not being going back

Had a retirement party there last night in the banquet room. Everything was amazing most importantly the waitresses AMAZING!!! Best service EVER especially when there was a pretty big crowd. I would 100% recommend having a party there I don’t think the service could have been any better.

Me and buddy meet there once a month to shoot pool, drink excellent long islands and the chicken bites are delicious. We had an awesome waitress (Kim) who really made the night more fun. Hope they keep her around!!! Of course the owners are excellent too!! Highly recommend!!!

I like the sports theme. However, the food and drinks are average and way overpriced. Not to mention, the portions are very small. The servers are pretentious and inattentive, generally speaking. Other than to say you've been there, It's not worth your time or money

Great cheese sticks. Best I've had. Really good pizza. What takes away is the slow service. I should never reach the bottom of my beer. I wish there was a 3 1/2 star rating because this is their true rating.

Awesome wait staff! Our Hockey Team had an amazing end of season banquet. We are greatful for the services we recieved. Our players loved the pizzas and game rooms! Thank you so much! Our Lansing Teams will definitely spread the word of your excellent service.

I recently had my husbands surprise birthday party here. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was perfect, but most importantly, we couldn't have pulled it off without the exceptional staff, Carolyn, Georgia and Jake! Thank you sooo much!

Delicious! We have a cottage in Canada so finding good poutine in the states is typically a task, however, we DEVOURED our plate at Broadcast Booth! Lindsay was our server, she's awesome!! Adding BB to one of our weekly dinner spots!

I've been here a few times with some friends and we have always had an excellent experience. We were very close to it so it is convenient. The chicken bites are fantastic as well as the chips that come with the sandwiches! The last two times we dined in our server was Gemini. She is absolutely fantastic! Very personable and really connects well with the people she is helping. Will definitely be back because of her!

2 stars because the service and food was alright. But you can't charge 7 dollars for a tall beer when other bars charge half of that for just as much.

Had dinner here tonight. My server Teresa Mazer was polite and prompt with our orders. Food came out in a timely manner and was very good.

I waited over a hour for my dinner tonight and barely anyone was in there! Probably around 7 tables if even that many. My waitress tried to tell me that it was because of the party that was going on but they did not even have that many people! It was absolutely ridiculous! The sad part is this is not the first time this has happened! This happened over the summer and we said we would never go back but we thought we would give them another chance... never again will anyone in my family go back! Very disappointed got severed a high end beer in a plasic cup. Service was terrible waitress had additude. Sure wish the CORNER BAR was still here.

Solid sports bar. I really enjoyed my turkey burger and had no trouble with the service. I’d go back if I’m in the area again. Big menu so everyone should be able to find what they like.

Horrible service. People act like they don't even wanna be working in this place. With that being said, I did like the Alfredo pasta with chicken. But the service made me decide to never go back.

This service in this place has been going down year after year. They have good food, but lousy service...and it gets worse as time goes by. I go there less and less trying to give it another chance, but 4 out of 5 times it's a disappointment. I blame it on the owners. They don't seem to care. Even with my discussions with them directly, it's always an excuse and in some instances, rude. Very few servers there are good, but many state the same thing about this place and blame it on the owners. Recently and in the past, I have scheduled and planned parties there and they never bring in extra help. Whether a party or just going for lunch, don't expect to get served quickly. There is a huge turn around in workers there, but I can understand why. Sorry, but this last time was probably my last time. Take a look at the ratings and I can guarantee they are all very similar...

This place has a very cool atmoshpere, but my soda in my mixed drink was flat, when I let the waiter know he just said "Sorry" and still charged us for it. He also did not come back after he delivered it to see if everything was okay. Cool place, bad customer service.

Terrible Customer Service. Three of us were there on Sunday, November 2, 2014 around 5:30. It was not busy except for the large party in one of the dining areas. They were just getting their food as we walked in. Our server, was busy cleaning up from another party with another lady. She promptly came over with menus and took our drink orders. We placed our simple food orders for two sandwiches and a burger when she returned with our drinks. I got up to use the restroom. On my way back I noticed that the people in the booths who were all there before us we all still waiting for food. <br/>Then we waited, and waited and waited some more, our server came back to make sure we were o.k. but didn't indicate any issues nor offer refills. Finally asked the other lady to track down our server because we had been waiting at least 25 minutes for our burgers and sandwiches. She huffed off and didn't acknowledge to us at that time that she was actually THE MANAGER! Our server returned with this message, "the chef said your food is coming out soon" we pressed her for an actual time and she responded that he just said "soon". She told us that everyone in the kitchen was getting in trouble. She said that the manager, you know the other lady that was cleaning with me, and the OWNER were both in the kitchen yelling at everyone because no one had gotten their food. We told her to go back and cancel our order immediately as we would be leaving and not coming back because this was the third time we experienced horrible service here. She returned with our bill for the ice tea and soda we had - really? after such a huge fail you want me to pay for my drink? We did, because we are not the type of people to shirk. During all of this time, neither the MANAGER nor the OWNER bothered to come out to try to rectify the situation, or offer us free drinks, or something to try to make up for such a terrible experience. Very disappointing - again!<br/>To add extra insult to the issue, as we were leaving, we walked by a table that was occupied by a guy that had come in when I went to the restroom (he came in at least 10 minutes after we ordered our food) and he had his food! The same sandwich I ordered...WTF? Don't waste your precious time at this crappy establishment that doesn't care enough to come out and deal with an issue. There is better food for less money just down the street!!

Sprinting Downhill. It's a shame. When Broadcast Booth first opened the food was excellent. Steak bites, pizza, ribs, and savory chicken wings were my favorites but pretty much everything I tried was good. Service was slow, but I was willing to put up with it for the good food. Over time the food has gotten worse and the service has stayed poor. We ate there a couple weeks ago and now will never go back. The food was downright poor. Terribly overcooked Boursin stuffed chicken, steak bites so tough we couldn't chew through a couple of them, bland lasagna, and ribs with burnt on BBQ sauce and barely any meat on them -- awful. Bad food is bad enough, but they had a noisy trivia game going on that was so loud we have difficulty hearing each other. No thanks. Might be fine for a beer and some cheese sticks while watching a game but we'll never dine there again.

My daughter, wife and i go there for dinner often, tonight was THE WORST! Service was good, kitchen slow,out of onion rings, prices ah, but the parents who bring there wonderful little wild children and let them run wild, shame- shame, reflects on how you were brought up! You set over there and drink and let them run wild, management should speak UP, I was sitting in a position to see that at anytime one of these little monsteres would run head on into the waitress and of course it would be on the waitress, these children are not toddlers, there 8- 10, if you want to take your little dumplins somewhere where they can reflect how they are brought up take them to the park!!!!!!!!!!!! Me and my family will check out the Brodcast Booth if the little dumplins are running wild we will take are money next door to Ruby Tuesdays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is this place still in business? It seems bewildered by the most basic restaurant functions. Food is okay. Service is unbelievably bad. Beer prices are outrageous.

Do I Stay or Do I Go. So this place is really nice, the fireplace dividing the dining room and the bar is cozy...especially in the winter. The food I have found to be good on the several occasions I have been there, my husband would disagree and actually complained to the manager when his "Perch" dinner came out looking like 5 Smelt lined up on his plate next to a scoop of mashed potatoes that was actually a larger portion than the fish. The managers response was "These are Lake Perch, do you know what those are?" My husband who grew up on Drummond Island is no stranger to Lake Perch and needless to say he won't step back into the joint. I on the other hand am a sucker for their reubens and fresh potato chips....So in other words I sneak out to lunch with the girls from time to time to eat one. The service has always been just mediocre. So don't order the perch, and don't expect excellent service, however do expect a good Reuben if you have a hankering for one...oh and the Spinach Artichoke dip is pretty tasty too

Located on Allen Rd,  this local sports bar offers billiards, flat screens, and an extensive food and drink menu. See how they ranked.
