I love this place! They give decent meals, they have a nice menu, The chef in that spot is a real pro, I like very much trying all their food. The food is always good, the service towards the guests is agreeable. I visit often this restaurant and I was never unhappy. Highly recommended.

I think the ribs are good, Here's my problem, A unauthorized charge showed up on the credit card, the 16th of September at 9:58. I Went to the location to in inquire about the fraudulent charge and spoke to Mike, whom claimed he worked on that Monday. He Shared with me that the younger employees at the time when I did visit their restaurant for take out, were unscrupulous and were stealing alcohol and doing malicious things and were no longer working there.
So he took my information and said he would relay the info. to the owner or senior employee and would call me. NO ONE CALLED!
Makes me think that they are aware of the problems and just didn't want to deal with it.
Needless to say I had to close my account and now waiting 7-10 days for a new card.
Plus I have to now update all my vendor, that payments that will be late and will give them new information when received.
Owner needs to take responsibility of the issue and make it right...
Recommend paying only with cash!

New owner, and the service and food were pretty good. Especially when compared to the previous owner, which was so so food, and horrible service.
I had the pork ribs meal, 4 good size ribs, and about a cup of the BBQ beans and the potatoes casserole. Beans were ok, but the ribs had a really good flavor without sauce, and the potato casserole was pretty good without anything additional.
Server tonight was pleasant, and a short wait. Only server there I could see....because of the last owner, I'm assuming people coming here is light, but it was not empty. Server made sure he heard the order right, and tried to chit chat while I waited.....not my thing, but I can see that being a good trait for service behind the counter.

First time there. Placed the order on line. Had to argue for the 2 free drinks mentioned in special. Was not told that the sauces were not in bag. We were "supposed " to know to go to the back of the restaurant and pack our own sauces that we had ordered online. Got home to find no sauces in the bag nor on any of the food. Had ordered 5 food items with sides. Received all the sides, but 1 sandwich was missing. Very disappointing experience. Will not be a repeat customer.

Pretty disappointing. Food presentation was not good at all, bbq chicken was room temp. Onion rings were really bad. They had no ribs in stock. Save your money and time and go to Phil’s in Santee, or somewhere you will have a good experience and where you will feel you got your money’s worth.

Tonights visit was, we are out of this and that, etc.
I had to drive away again. What a bummer...this use to be so good. Recently the past month or two has been really bad, my orders have been messed up, missing items, beef brisket under or over cooked, potatoes cold, out of food often. I can't get refunds because there is no manager isn't around, and employees "cant figure out how to refund". What is going on? Is the owner aware? I hope they can hang in there and fix their issues. Btw, why is the owner response here "canned"? Are they going under? Might as well with this kinda service. Hey owner fix your restaurant or leave.

Best BBQ I've had since being in San Diego! I've been craving it and this place satisfied my taste buds. The staff was amazing and was very patient with me because I'm pregnant. Will be going back for the free ice cream, it's non-dairy too!

The brisket is coated with a super salty rub that made it impossible to enjoy. No one told us there were vats of barbecue sauce by the ice cream machine. We ate our meal wondering why a barbecue place served no sauce...they should tell you that when they bring your food. Also they are overpriced and their sides are tiny. I would not recommend this or go there again.
