Johnny's Tavern - Amherst - Photo album

Wow! What a wonderful find. We drove 6.5 hours into town, and needed a good meal. We found Johnny’s which is exactly what we needed. All good restaurants are good but this place is restorative for your soul. Seriously - a small but curated draught list, good wine and cocktails, too. Local options to
The place is very lively, full of super friendly folks. Had a chicken sandwich and some delicious dessert - chocolate mousse cake was fantastic.
What an amazing dining experience! We were visiting the area and did a bit of research on where to eat, so happy we chose johnnys! The gnocchi and duck were delicious, the food came out so quickly and you even get a bowl of bread. The service and mixed drinks were great too. Highly recommend!!
Warm friendly staff, nice mixed crowd, amazing menu of local craft beer. Service was excellent, food was delicious. I had the Atlantic salmon, which came with polenta and carrots. It was all good enough. Not amazing, but decent. Comfy seating. The beet salad we ordered as a starter was delicious.
My son and I had just gotten off the train after a 23 hour trip, (including a 5 hour layover). My daughter and her boyfriend suggested lunch. They had heard about Johnny's Tavern but hadn't been. The baked brie in particular was a great choice, we loved it. We had a small issue with one of our dishes, but our server an

Great atmosphere! Snagged seats at the bar. Cocktails were well done, food was good and hot. The music was a little loud, difficult to hear sometimes in addition to all the people. Will return.
Wonderful food and great ambiance for a relaxed dinner. We were a group of 6 and it can get pretty busy when school is in session, so a reservation might be helpful. The fried calamari is a must have. If you like spicy food (real spicy), try the Fra Diavolo Tagliatelle. One last thing, the sourdough
