Probably the best Chinese in the area..actually had good flavor when we ate in the restaurant. Szechuan flavor was on point. Dumplings a bit bland. Really nice waiter to our big party
That was filling. I always enjoy the food here. I like that they serve more choices than the usual takeout stir fry. That's you, Gen Tsao Chicken, I am talking about. Yes, you have that, if that is what you care for, but you may also just want rice porridge and dimsum one day or a sichuan dish on another day. Each one is uber delicious. Top it off with some sesame balls for dessert, and you are all set. I keep coming back for more.
My bf took me here for the first time. I thought to myself that it would be just another Chinese food place that would taste mediocre at best. I was deeply mistaken. This Asian restaurant may not be the best on the eyes but it’s amazing on the taste buds. They’re efficient here for sure. Their service and demeanor are so kind. They go above and beyond to make the customers happy. The food here is just phenomenal!
The food here is fresh and delicious. I ordered the soup dumplings as an appetizer. The dumpling skins were a bit on the thicker side, but well made for the pioneer valley. For my entree I ordered the salt and pepper seafood which consisted of fried squid, scallops and shrimp with Chinese salt and pepper style seasoning. Not bad! Including tip, I think I spent about $36.
High quality traditional Chinese food with reasonable prices and large portions. I've taken many friends/family here and have never left less than satisfied. They also don't hold back the spice for dishes that deserve it.
Everything is fresh and delicious!
I definitely recommend the soup dumplings, the sticky rice, the pea shoots, the sesame balls, the shumai and Szechuan fish.
The staff is super kind and attentive.
I've always loved this place and thought it was the best Chinese food in the area, but after my recent experience with their lunch special menu (offered M-F, 10:30-3:30, except holidays), I felt compelled to write a review. All dishes are priced under $10. For just under $20 (pre-tip), my boyfriend and I had an amazing meal. The special menu is extensive, and each meal comes with rice (unless a noddle or rice dish), soup (chicken and corn, miso, or hot and sour), and unlimited hot tea. He got the fried rice and I got the sesame chicken. Both meals were exceptionally delicious and fresh. My boyfriend usually gets the house special fried rice at asian restaurants, and he said this is by far the best. The chicken, beef, and shrimp were all perfectly cooked. The sesame chicken was crispy, hot, and delicious. No chewy or dry bits. Amazing sauce. Infinitely better than I remember sesame chicken being growing up. This is one of the best deals in the valley. Prices are unbeatable and portion sizes are perfect. Maybe even enough for leftovers for some people. Don't pass it up!
I live in Cambridge. In my opinion, this is the best authentic Chinese food in Massachusetts. Even when I lived in California, I didn't get dim sum like the ones they have here. I don't have any pictures because I already ate everything haha
A great place for takeout or dine-in. I like the Mei Fun, which is a thin rice noodle prepared with onions, eggs, and a meat of your choice, and Chicken with Spring Onions, which is simply diced chicken and fresh onions fried in a light sauce.
Excellent food, great service. Rivals the best of Boston’s Chinatown establishments. I’d eat here any day. Highly recommended.
Try the desserts too.
The food we had was excellent, but the service left a lot to be desired, it was a busy Saturday night so maybe that was an issue as the kitchen was really backed up, but our server forgot about one of our main courses (we were not billed, she just forgot) and also the food came out very very slowly - chalk it up to a bad night but servers should never forget about a customers order (we shared ours) and also should come back to check on tables and definitely make sure tables have water. I would go back, but not on a busy Saturday night.
Place was amazing. Fried dumplings were out of this world definitely recommended!
I would also suggest the appetizer of green beans...
Crunchy and delicious
This is a really top notch Chinese restaurant with some more authentic menu items I wouldn't expect to get outside of Boston or larger cities. I've been going for years ever since I was in school in the area and I still stop by from time to time, even though I live far away now. The staff is excellent and the ambience is nice, with plenty of seating. I think this place does not get the attention it deserves within the Amherst restaurant scene, so please consider giving it a try!
The food here is beyond amazing! My faves are their brisket soup, rice, dumpling platters, steam buns, orange chicken, and anything that has beef in it! I've never been disappointed by them over the years
i LOVE THE DUMPLINGS UGH. could’ve eat ur dumplings daily
The food was pretty good. However, the service was so so. The waitress was no so attentive. The wait was long but the restaurant was not so busy.
One of my best dining experiences ever. Great family oriented restaurant. Service is quick and super friendly. They handled my daughter's rambunctious behavior so well. The food was absolutely amazing! I loved all the dim sum and entrees we ordered. Had a party of 4 adults and one child. Still had leftovers to take home and eat again. Sad that we live in Connecticut. Definitely coming back to eat here when we come back to visit again.
Excellent customer service, consistency in delicious meals, I go every Wednesday. Newly remodeled and bigger space. Eat here for dim sum, little pricey but worth it.
