Came here for dinner to celebrate graduation. The dinner menu changes every now and then, and it’s been a while for me so I was very pleasantly surprised! We got a couple of apps, cocktails, then I got the scallops, which were delicious. I love the interior as well. We finished with dessert and we tried all three, and all were very yummy!!! It was a busy night so I recommend making a reservation in advance just in case. Although, I will say that there was a mishap with our reservation at first— my friend called to reserve a table and had evidence of the call, yet upon arrival, we were told there was no reservation made for us and that they were fully booked… thankfully, another party there suddenly decreased size and therefore we were able to be seated promptly. Our waiter was so sweet about this, putting our drinks on the house and apologizing deeply. He said that there have been issues with the reservation software, but that they’re working to fix it. Just keep note of when and how you made your reservation and you should be fine. I definitely recommend a try for more upscale food/vibes if you’re in the area. Yum!!!!!!!

A unique dining experience with a diverse menu, wine list, and outstanding service. Comfortable but with a certain nostalgia.

What a beautiful place inside and out. It was a special occasion, and they seated us in a private room. Outside tables are also great with overhead heaters if it’s chilly. A fire pit with comfortable couches. Great bar. Excellent service. Delicious food. This is our third time here, and we are never disappointed.

We happened by yesterday on a dreary, drizzly, damp afternoon after clomping through the muddy farmer's market. Brunch seemed just the ticket to lighten the mood. And boy, did it ever! I ordered the Turkish eggs; Lee, the French toast. The toast was piled high, and our friend Sandra suddenly found her upset stomach miraculously soothed by the peppermint tea - the only thing she ordered - and had some. Smiles ear to ear. Mine was better, though: The flavors lit up the dashboard of my Mediterranean loving palate! We deeply thank the staff for looking with a kind eye on my personality-challenged dachshund, Buckley (giving me side-eye). The food was pretty marvelous! Do go!

We just ate here for the first time and had a fantastic meal. The beet salad and clam chowder were excellent, and the Eggplant dish was delicious. The Boltwood burger blew me away- I think it might be one if the best burgers I've had in years. Fantastic flavor to the beef. Great atmosphere and great service. We really enjoyed our dinner here.

We went as a family to Brunch visiting our son at UMass. We all picked a dlfferent food, lobster roll, steak, burger, veggie sandwich. Food was amazing? Service was very good, our cocktails were delicious. I don’t understand how this place is not rated much higher. I highly recommend it.

Good vibes. I changed fries to Caesar salad and anchovies came with it, but it smelled a little fishy.

Definitely high end dining. The cocktails were very good! Service was fast and friendly. The roasted olives appetizer was a surprising flavor but very good! Family.had the scallops - they were ok. Only seasoned on one side though :( The bolt wood smash burger was a big hit at the table too along with the eggplant!

PERFECT Eggs Benedict! The hollandaise sauce was delicious. This place is magical. We stayed here for one night and wish it was more. Highly recommend 30 Boltwood and Inn on Boltwood.

Visiting amherst for the first time in years (UMASS 2001.) This was a great experience. Sat outside and there were heaters to keep us warm. The Brie appetizer is a must!

Amherst is pretty variable in its restaurant offerings - sometimes there are some great new places, but mostly not. 30 Boltwood is consistently first class. We ate there on a Wednesday night in June with a variety of food restrictions - one person needed gluten free, another had crohn's disease and so needed just meat. The staff was understanding and attentive and it was easy. Me I don't have any food allergies, and had the mussels in a garlicy wine sauce. Excellent, especially with the buttery and garlicky toast that came with it. Thanks everyone there for a very easy and excellent dinner. Just one note, fwiw, the "huge Angus beef burger" really isn't that big.

Good selection of excellent, understated, carefully prepared food of mostly local provenance served graciously in a quiet atmosphere conducive to quiet conversation and thinking. No plastic glasses here, no rushing about, no Musac, no tv. A welcome respite.

We have been to eat here several times over the years and enjoyed every time. Tonight was even better with some new dishes and new twists on menu standards. There was something special about every dish with unusual but tasteful touches. Like the dried plums on the pork chop (incredibly tasty), or the balsamic reduction with the liver mousse, or tiny, crispy corn flakes on the panna cotta. The chef's doing a great job, and our waiter has been at 30Boltwood for years and was friendly as always. Really nice job all around.

Had an amazing lunch here today. The weather was perfect and we sat on the patio on the comfortable sofas. Our sever was friendly and attentive without hovering. He went above board to make sure that we had a great experience. He was always there when we needed anything. And then the food- the menu was pretty simple and I wasn't excited at first, but the mussels with the deep fried saltines were delicious, my burger was perfectly juicy with the caramelized onions, and the lobster roll was so fresh and loaded with lobster. All of that was accompanied by an ice cold bottle of chardonnay which made for the perfect fall afternoon. I can't wait to go back in the evening to have cocktails and apps by the fire pits. The rocking chairs are such a nice touch. It was such a relaxing way to spend an afternoon.
