10 Stars for Athena’s Pizza on University Drive, Amherst, Massachusetts! We have two family members with Gluten and wheat allergies, and we order their gluten-free pizzas of any flavor, and they’re wonderful, and we never get sick! The owner and his family are very careful, and they will change their gloves when you ask them, and make your food away from where the wheat and gluten flour pizzas are made. The chef salads have the most wonderful fresh, clean romaine lettuce, and other vegetables, and the deli meats are always fresh and wonderful! The menu is marked gluten free for lots of their pizza flavors! How wonderful to have a pizza restaurant in Amherst, where we can go as a family and enjoy their delicious, gluten free food items. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Athena’s Pizza in Amherst, and I must say it was an absolute delight. The pizza I had was hands down the most delicious pizza I've had in a long time. Every bite was a burst of flavor and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The crust was perfectly crispy, and the combination of toppings was simply mouthwatering.
Aside from the incredible taste, the service was top-notch. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and made sure that I had a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere of the place was cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family.
I highly recommend Athena’s Pizza to anyone who appreciates outstanding pizza. They truly deliver on their promise of serving delicious food. It's a place where you can indulge in incredible flavors and create unforgettable memories. I can't wait to visit again soon!
Once a month our church hosts a potluck and I useto order pizza from Big Y. Big Y had the rudest customer service after a yelling match with Big Y I just ordered from Athenas and they had the same size order done in less than 30min. I didn't have to order ahead 2hr for a pizza Athenas was great never going back

At my roommate recommandation, I decided to try Athena’s Pizza food. Ordered some buffalo wings and the Five Cheese Calzone. Everything was delicious 😋
I ate here twice in one week. Both times were fine. The food was good but nothing special. They don't serve slices and they also don't do gyro platters with fries. Odd since traditional gyros come with fries.
Friendly staff and pretty fast turn around on orders. I wanted to like the food more than I did. Maybe you will have a different experience.
Something extra about this place. Everything I've ever had is extra good. Always fresh, always hot, and fast service. It has the old school pizza place feel that many of us grew up with. I Love their steak and cheese. Their salads are also great. They just know what they are doing. Never had anything bad here. Very friendly staff. There is no reason to go anywhere else if you are in Amherst. Fair prices. Plenty of parking. I just wish their hours were longer!

The customer service is awesome! Every time I call up, the person who answers the phone is patient and makes sure my order is correct! Excellent pizza and LOVE their calzones!
I've been in the area for 8 years and unfortunately, I've not tried Athena's Pizza, until tonight.
Best damn wings I've had in the area, hands down. Made my night! They were so juicy and flavorful.
I didn't even need the extra ranch they gave me. I suppose I'll save for the next time, cuz I'll definitely be back ASAP for some more of those AMAZING wings!
It's a very good indication that the rest of their food will also be delicious too! 😋 I can't wait to try to rest of the menu!
P.S. The service was friendly, fast and efficient. The restaurant was clean and they had a nice big screen T.V. on the wall above the giant drink selection cooler. 👌 5 stars!

Loved my 5 Cheese Calzone I consumed prior to going to a UMASS basketball game. Picture of the Calzone is below,this place never disappoints while I'm waiting for game time.
This is one of my favorite places to eat while in the area. The Greek salad is terrific, as is their buffalo chicken wrap. Prices are reasonable; you get a decent serving. I like the relaxed atmosphere and I don't feel rushed. I can enjoy my meal.

This pizza place has the best food I have tasted yet in Amherst and I love subs and pizza and salads and all that good ole Italian Greek grub!!
This restaurant is amazing the service is tip-top it’s clean the bathrooms are clean which is what we all look at first and the area is so convenient and I love they’re food!!

I ordered a lg extra cheese w/ tomatoes & anchovies! A seemingly simple pizza but one fraught with danger once you mention the fish! So I have a tendency not to order it at all! But this one of the best pizzas I've eaten in a very long time, from the dough to delivery everything was 100%! Western Ma doesn't get enough pizza making credit as it is, but if you're going to start a list, start here.....
