Formosa Restaurant - Amherst - Photo album

As an Asian American, I love spicy food and this Mapo dofu (麻婆豆腐) at Formosa has the flavours and spice levels that always satisfy my cravings! Love the spices and ratio of tofu to sauce, not too oily. Plus free bowl of rice and can ask for no meat added. Dumplings are great too. Not a fried food f
i was quite satisfied with my meal and came out full and content! also shoutout to the staff for letting us borrow an umbrella to get to our car in the rain. super epic
The appetizers were all great, especially the scallion pancakes and buns. The pan soup dumplings were also good. Were the meal lost momentum was the main course, everything was good just not as amazing as the pre game. Nice service and beautiful restaurant.
Beef with Mung Bean Sprouts is a satisfying blend of taste and texture, with chunks of beef mixed with fresh and crunchy bean sprouts, alongside sauteed green onions; consumed with brown rice, it's an irresistibly healthy and delicious option for Chinese cuisine.
Food: excellent, we shared many dishes family style. It was all very good to excellent. My favorites were the beef stuffed scallion pancakes and the radish pancakes (more like a radish hash brown than pancake). Portions: very good for price. We had leftovers. Authenticity: very authentic Taiwanese
I've been here twice so far and I've ordered the szechuan soft shell crab, the beef tongue appetizer, and the beef and tomato hotpot w/ bean noodles. All were delicious. The crab was my favorite, soft on the inside crunchy on the outside and so so spicy while still being incredibly flavorful. This r
This place has good service and food, especially for the price. I think I paid about $22 including tax and tip for lunch, which included soup and rice. I do recommend the food I ordered if you enjoy eating spicy food, but if you have a weak stomach, order something more mild off the menu.
I love everything the service the people everything was all good. The one thing that I do not appreciate is them adding the tips on the bill and ask if you want to add more, they charge you close to $20 tip. I feel some type of way about it but other than that everything is good.
Wow, I have never had better service in my life!!! If your water was ever getting low it would be filled right away. I ordered my food and it came out in under five minutes. My server was also very polite and checked in on me multiple times. The food was also amazing and I would definitely go hear a
The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Jumbo Shrimp with Honey nuts & Fish Filet and tofu with Ginger sauce from the House Special menu. Great portion sizes. Warm hospitality from the crew. Glad we chose this place. A very clean and quaint establishment. Highly recommended!
The food was pretty good, but the service was slow. We waited 15 minutes to for the server to pick up the credit card and bill.
The gua bao (刈包) was really good as well as the beef noodles (牛肉麵), unexpectedly boneless (!!). The 小籠包 were nice overall, especially considered this is Massachusetts... The boba tea (珍珠奶茶) was really good, the 珍珠 especially, since they were firm and not sweet at all. A great dinner.
Formosa offers a level of cuisine that is not found often in non-major American cities. The flavors and authenticity is unmatched by other restaurants in this area.
