Simply marvelous home-cooked Southern food and downright terrific table service with a smile! We stopped in for the Sunday buffet and were absolutely blown away with the high quality of the food, the friendliness of the service, and the easy to find location. (We were in central Virginia while visiting from Oklahoma City.)Just LOVE this place!

Looking for a place to get homemade bread sandwich this is the place. The food is delicious and prices are very reasonable. Missed the buffet. Already planning our return trip for that.

Best, light, fresh doughnuts that I've have in years. Kind faces, kind words, and the hours are longer than most bakeries ( until 6 on that Wednesday) . A big thumbs up..

love this place. best donuts around. Their pastries are quite nice...they are not too sweet, just perfect in my opinion. The folks that own this are always so pleasant as well. We had lunch there and their sandwiches are served on fresh baked rolls! I had their take on an Italian hero..very tasty. Will be back.

Love this local gem! Greeted when we arrived, shown menu. We ordered sandwiches to eat there, so were invited to have a seat. Our waters came immediately, and in nice large glasses. I usually need to ask for a refill or 2, but not today! I had the turkey provolone, husband had chicken salad. Wow. Homemade rolls, lettuce and tomatoes, delish. Homemade chicken salad, quality turkey. Our first time here, certainly not our last. We decided to bring home some rolls and donuts. I'm not a donut fan, but the jelly long John was tasty. Rolls are out of this world. Service was the absolute friendliest and most efficient. Really nice, quality, hometown place. See for yourself, come for a meal. We'll be back!

What a Blessing is a great place to simply buy delectable, homemade pastries and sandwiches or to enjoy a tasty, southern breakfast buffet on Saturdays. The food is delicious! The only downsides include the limited space of the establishment due to the large number of antiques on display and also the bathroom can be hard to get to if people are seated nearby. The overall positive experience is simply the place is clean, the staff is friendly and hardworking, and of course, THE FOOD is so good! The bacon is on the crispier side, but everything from the pastries to the sausage, chicken, and various sides are all perfection. In addition, there are cold cereals available. The beverages include water, tea, coffee, juice, and milk. I have been coming here for years and will continue to do so.

The pastries are delicious! Every time I go I'm amazed at the pastries, food and service. If you live in the lynchburg area you have to there! You have to experience it first hand to truly appreciate it
