I've dined here several times and each and every time I leave satisfied. However, my experience is limited to their breakfast slot. I love that it's a buffet because there's a litttle bit of everything. The characters interact with adults as much as they do with children, which I love. In my book Storyteller's Cafe is the best character dining experience of them all.

Great food, great selection, great service and the characters are so fun!!! We actually ran into California Adventure, got a fast pass for Racers, rode Soarin’, then went to breakfast at Storytellers, then off to Racers. The Park entrance at Grand Californian is very convenient !!

What a wonderful way to spend a morning. The restaurant is beautiful. There is a great selection of delicious food. The staff are friendly and attentive. You can have them tell you a story from any of the paintings on the walls and then they have Disney characters come to visit you at your tables. We had a memorable time. I highly recommend it.

Storytellers is the favorite place for our family to have breakfast. It isn’t cheap, but we love the environment and the selection of foods. We’ve made trips to Disneyland just so we could have an excuse to eat at Storytellers.

Our first experience at Storybook cafe was in 2003 during our honeymoon and it was a phenomenal experience. Today, we go with our children out of nostalgia. After all these years, we still enjoy the food and ambiance. But, I have to say the server this year was on his ‘A’ game. I recommend Storybook for the family but definitely Napa Rose for the romantic date for two.

We started a tradition 2 years ago with starting our morning adventures with a great breakfast at The Storytellers Cafe. This is always such a positive and pleasant way to start our day. The staff is kind and efficient! The critters are funny and interact very well with the whole family! Love this restaurant and the experience is always a blast!

Nice brunch even of only B-list characters appear like chip and dale and the country bears. Loved that eggs Benedict was a buffet item no need to custom order. Felt a little rushed even though a buffet. Servers hurry to get you coffee and juice but really what the point I can get my own and forgo the agony of tipping over a buffet price

DREAMS DO COME TRUE WITH THIS BUFFET. Breakfast lunch or dinner? what to do, what to do! they are famous for all 3 but my answer to you is the dinner buffet.

sure you can go there and order from the regular menu but why do that when you can eat all you want and go back to your hotel and pass out. it's $26.99 for adults and a great deal compared to goofy's kitchen and other buffets around the disney resort. there is so much offered you better come hungry and bring someone with a purse for to-go food! i think i went back to the buffet 7 times and had my share of grub but these were my favorites for sure........

marinated roasted chicken
atlantic salmon
macaroni and cheese
chicken strips
penne pasta salad
corn chowder
mixed green salads
pizza
alot of fresh baked breads
herb-pepper crust prime rib with au-jus and creamed horseradish

The Eggs Benedict were amazing, The fresh fruit was lovely. But the best part was this cranberry Orange cake I found hiding at the very end of the buffet table, possibly the best thing I ate the entire time I was there!

Storyteller’s Cafe is a casual restaurant with buffet and table service options. We did not know that there was a buffet before we got there – apparently we didn’t research well enough. We were tempted by the buffet (who isn’t tempted when dessert is included in the meal price?!) but decided to order entree’s from the menu. Again, I failed to bring the correct lens for my camera, so iPhone photos it is! Some photos are better than none, rig

This has by far been by favorite character dining experience at the Disneyland Resort. While you don’t get a picture like you do at Plaza, the characters do come around to the tables multiple times. The food wasn’t bad for it being a buffet, I enjoyed the pastries a lot. This is also inside the Grand Californian which means they offer a different assortment of adult beverages, which can be fun for the adults. Jamie, our waiter was amazing and was so kind. We were able to see Chip, Dale, Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto. I definitely suggest coming here and make sure to make a reservation .

I would give it a perfect ten! Being the only vegan in my family, I was thrilled that they went above and beyond to provide me with delectable vegan options. My grandchildren had an absolute blast with the character experience, and our waiter, Jason, was exceptional. They ensure that every table gets a visit from the characters, and the kids' faces light up with joy. Not to mention, the atmosphere is filled with happiness all around. I can't wait to return for the fantastic food—it's truly top-notch!

We did breakfast here in place of doing character meet and greets in the park. It was definitely worth it. The food was better than I expected it to be. All 5 characters stopped by our table for photos and autographs in between their mini parade thing they did. The wait staff was absolutely amazing.

We came here for dinner and I highly recommend. Some of the best buffet food I’ve ever had. I had a reservation for 7:50pm and we were seated right at that time. Our server was SLOW but incredibly kind and helpful, it just took a long time to get drink refills and our check. No characters for the dinner (I didn’t know this beforehand)but we still are very happy we ate here. The pumpkin cheesecake dessert is to die for…I could’ve eaten ten of them. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a big meal and wanting to unwind from the chaos of your day!

This place is pretty rad. Yea it is incredibly expensive, but this is one of the most high quality buffet experiences out there. Salmon was incredible. The bread pudding is famous for a reason. The breakfast accommodations are great and the fruit is fresh. Theres a bluegrass jam song where all the characters come out and sign autographs and take pictures. You are paying for quality food and character time.

This was one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. I went with my parents, and 8-month year old sister. The service was unbeatable. Our server was so nice, he was the best. He washed Lilah's (my sister) pacifier, engaged in small conversation, answered our questions, and checked in with us thoroughly. It wasn't just him, either. If you looked around, you could see all the employees were happy, as well as the families around you. Bad service does not equal being happy, and everyone was smiling. That's why I give "Service" five stars. The atmosphere is something you can't receive in no other place, expect for Disney. When you first enter, you immediately make the decision to look around. It definitely makes kids happy looking around, and seeing the characters lingering around tables. Speaking of the characters, they were amazing. The actor employees are amazing at their job. They spend personal time at each table, there's no rush no matter who's sitting at that table. They are very interactive and open to taking pictures. My sister loved it, though she was shocked, haha. That’s why I give “Atmosphere” five stars. I only gave “Food” four stars because of personal opinion. I, personally, am not much a breakfast person. And, at the time, I wasn’t hungry to a great amount. My Dad and I also questioned a few of the meats. Again, this is just personal opinion. The whole family mostly loved the waffles and banana french toast. The Food still goes well with the Service and Atmosphere like an exquisite tea set. This Whole Experience was a 10/10, I highly recommend coming here. Storyteller’s Cafe is definitely a perfect definition for the word “happiness.” Cheesy, but true.

Had a fun time at storytellers cafe! Buffet was delicious and offered lots of great things to choose from. The hash browns were great, the Belgian waffles were so buttery and tasted like vanilla. Syrup was nice and warm. The huevos rancheros were deliciosos. There wad a carving station but I really only gravitated towards the bacon which was really tasty and thick! Fruit was delicious and offered a large variety to choose from. Including cereal and yogurt parfait. I didn’t feel like waiting for the omelet station but they do offer one! Admittedly the scrambled eggs looks a lil weird so I didn’t get any(im so picky with eggs) Characters were also super nice and each came to the table and we got to take pictures with them!

Fun times at Storytellers Cafe! Long time Disney fan, but never knew there was character dining till I became an adult. Got a group of friends together & we had a blast. We came during brunch time & it’s buffet style. In the hot selection there is an omelette station & a variety breakfast staples. There’s also a carving station. There is also cold selections such as cereal, yogurt, fruits, & salad. The staff was friendly & big highlight is getting to see all the characters come out. They come out multiple times throughout so you’ll always have an opportunity for a photo op. This is a great place to take kids young & old. If you don’t want to splurge for a park ticket I feel like this is a great alternative to enjoy a meal while experiencing the Disney magic.

Went for brunch on a Thursday. Thought the price was a bit steep, but fun to try it out. Not as many characters as the Minnie breakfast in Disneyland, but you get the classic characters such as Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale, and Pluto. Characters do stop at tables for photos and they also parade around the restaurant in their own cavalcade when the music is turned up....so when you hear the music go up get your video camera ready. Food was pretty good. They also offer certain food you can order separately that is not in the buffet stations. We both thought the eggs tasted off....they were fluffy, but didn't taste like egg. They also offer horchata which I was excited about but it was store bought fake horchata. The best thing for me was the chilaquiles- best I've ever had! Unlike the Minnie breakfast in DL., here you have a server to bring your drinks etc. I would do this again.

We finally thought ahead this trip and booked breakfast at one of the character buffets and I'm so glad we did. The character experience is worth the price so you don't have to stand in the lines to meet them in the park. The characters were all super nice and accommodating. We had EXCELLENT service from our server and his assistant. The food was hit or miss but there was enough good stuff that it didn't matter that the waffles and pancakes were overcooked. Overall I'm super happy we finally pulled the trigger and did this experience

This truly is a magical place. Every cast member makes you feel so special. As a vegan, I really appreciated the accommodations afforded to me by the chefs during my buffet experience. The server had the chef personally come over and confirm any dietary restrictions. I had the mickey waffles (which were good but just a little doughy. Some people may like them that way but I prefer mine more evenly cooked). They also prepared a delicious plate of veggies including mushrooms, asparagus, potatoes, and more. Very flavorful and fresh! I also had fruit and asked them about some vegan cookies which they were happy to provide. I got pics with all the characters and couldn't have asked for a better start to my day at the park.

The best character dining experience breakfast in Disneyland. The buffet was delicious and had a ton of choices, including some California inspired dishes. The staff were very attentive and made sure the characters made their way to our table. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant next time we are in Disneyland.

Great experience and good food. Nice being able to spend time with the Princess’s and not having a large crowd waiting.
