I've come here plenty of times to have drinks but never to eat. I finally got the chance and the food was decent.
To start off was the Uva street fries. The fries were garlicky, buttery and very cheesy with small chunks of flavorful chorizo sausage. All of which combined made one good taste. My only gripe is the portion of chorizo on the fries was very small. Wish there would have been more because it was pretty good and made the dish. Next up was the mushroom flat bread. This was the highlight of the meal with so many different flavors going on. I really enjoyed the sweet onions with the mushrooms. Delicious! Last was the steak and frites. The steak was juicy but was a little thick when chewing and could have used a little more seasoning. The chimichurri helped a lot when it came to bringing the flavor.
There was no way I was going to have lunch here without ordering a beer so a beer flight was ordered to wash down the food. All beers I've ordered here has always come nice and cold and that remains the same with this visit.
Monique was our server during lunch. She was very welcoming and provided excellent service bringing plates fast and checking to see if anything was needed without us having to ask. This was my first time having a meal here and since I primarily stop here to have drinks, I'll continue to do so while just grabbing finger foods if food is to be ordered. Definitely will be grabbing more of that flat bread. Perfect snack to have with an ice cold brew or cocktail.

Catal is wonderfully refreshing in the vast array of homogenized kiddie food land otherwise known as Disney. The Mediterranean flavors are spot on. The best dish we had there was the lamb cavatelli but they've since taken it off the menu but in a way that's good or we would have never tried the sucking pig or scallops...both wonderfully delicious. Also, the service is impeccable and if your kid is a foodie like ours, you'll appreciate that they don't dumb down the kids menu flavor or otherwise
It's all good - just don't order the overpriced salad.. I'm not sure if it's a USA thing or something but how can an arugula salad cost the same as a steak? Are you kidding me? Costco has got to be cheaper...
Otherwise I like the steak that I got (pretty cheap in comparison to Canada). The place was pretty crowded but it felt nice to hang out in the nice weather (we sat outside).
I would come back again but not order a salad... There's gotta be other ways for cheap fiber intake!
The Entire family flew down from Lake Oswego, Oregon... The family consisting of 13 of us had a sit down dinner in the upstairs main restaurant for a very special 21st birthday bash for our Neice!
But to start the party off... Service at the very nice outside "UVA BAR" prior to dinner in the center of "Downtown Disney" (can't miss it) was great.
In the main upstairs restaurant... Again, we were a big table of 13, and the park was hopping... the service was actually very good... But (as expected) pretty darn slow.
I had the pork... Which I do recommend... It had some flavor and cooked pretty well... So I was happy.
A lot of the family had their (signature
Dish)... chicken Paella... The chicken was way over cooked and very bland.
So we have mixed feeling about the place and if the food was better, I would have given it a "4" But On a positive note... must say this restaurant is more for "adults" than little kids (like rainforest cafe)...
So cutting to the chase... If you are Disneyland battle worn and tired of screaming kids in strollers that cost more than my first car... This is where I would go to let my hair down... Actually, I may never make it past the UVA bar and rock n roll with the best of them.
ENJOY MORRY
Exquisite pancakes, fresh berries, oatmeal and bacon. Zero complaints from five picky eaters. Yum. We'll be back.
Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! No wait when all other venues were over an hour. Food selection was great, we had flat bread pulled pork pizza, corn arepas, and UVA cheeseburger with garlic fries. All came hot and fast and tasted great! Our server Jessica stayed on top of everything and took wonderful care of us!!! Thank you, we will definitely be back!!
Very Good. We have eaten on the balcony many times over the years of visiting Disneyland. Although it is not inexpensive, we have always had a very delicious meal. The service is always great, and the atmosphere is enchanting -- especially if you are there during the fireworks presentation.
Food is surprisingly good w/healthy options. Considering that is is smack-dab in the middle of Downtown Disney, the food is surprisingly good and depending on what you order, can be healthy too. We've been here several times over the years and it's one of the places we tend to head for when we need to find something to eat in the general vicinity of the Disneyland Hotel & Downtown Disney.
At Uva Bar specifically, we've enjoyed the trio of Mediterranean dips (hummus, baba ghanoush and mouhammara with cucumber and pita), baby oak greens (with dried cherries, California Fiscalini Cheddar, candied pecans and Champagne vinaigrette), lamb burger (with piquillo peppers, spicy feta, arugula, lemon dill aïoli, pickled red onion on a brioche bun - I highly recommend this one), and the Uva burger (with caramelized onion-apple wood smoked bacon relish, arugula and cave aged Gruyère cheese). It's no longer on the menu, but they also used to have a seared Ahi salad that was phenomenal.
We've eaten once or twice at Catal as well, but since it has been over a year I am not sure what we had - did recall that it was good as well though.
Not a great fan of the food but the drinks at the outdoor bar seating is great for people watching and meeting friends.
Pretentious. Is the best way to describe this restaurant. The location and setting are wonderful, The service was all that was to be expected. But, the food was pretty disappointing. If there is a category somewhere between "Likes it" and "Doesn't like it" that is where my vote is. It wasn't terrible, but wasn't all that I hoped it would be. The prices for what is received are not good value.
I've been eating here for years. The food is always perfect and the service always awesome. The manager Albert is the best and because of him I pledge my loyalty to Catal forever! :)
Good Food/Good Drinks. I've patronized the restaurant and Uva Bar several times.
Never had a bad meal, drink or beer! Everyone that I have encountered have been happy and after relaxing with an Uva Bar beverage, they've been happier! Always a happy and good time at this establishment. Everyone should visit the Uva Bar and restaurant.
If you don't mind sitting at the bar.... The place wasn't too crowded when we came here. Our wait to eat outside was only 30 minutes (supposedly) and the wait to eat inside was at least 40-45 minutes. So we opted for outdoors. Plus, we had planned to eat at the Uva Bar anyway. While waiting in line, one of the hostesses came up to us and asked since we were a party of two, would we mind sitting at the bar. We said we'd take the bar seating and bellied up to the bar only 10 minutes into our wait. We really didn't care where we sat as long as we were outside.
We found the two seats at the bar after walking part of it's circular bar for a about a yard or so. We sat down and immediately the bartender walks over to us and asks what we'd like to order. We asked for a menu and a wine list. He gladly obliged and began to peruse.
We decided on two red wines (one a meritage and one a cabernet sauvignon - I don't remember the names right now - forgive me other wine lovers out there). For dinner I ordered the chicken blt sandwich with fries and my friend ordered the steak with garlic butter and fries. The chicken sandwich was very flavorful on the foccacia bread. The condiments included jack cheese, avocado slices, lettuce, carmelized onions, tomato (which I only ate a bit and took the rest out since I'm not a tomato fan), and crispy bacon. This was an amazing sandwich. I absolutely loved my dinner and the meritage I drank.
My husband, however, was less than thrilled with his steak with ample garlic butter on top. The steak wasn't exactly a great cut of meat. It had a lot of fatty veins running through it which made for difficult cutting with the butter knife the waitstaff provided. The flavor was good, but not great. He'd had this same steak before and raved about it. This time, it was not a raving review for the steak. His cabernet sauvignon was perfect (probably the best part of his meal that night).
But, the staff was friendly and provided us quick service. The atmosphere was pleasant. We definitely enjoyed the heat lamps the bar provided for the chilly night.
I would come here again. There are plenty of other menu options to try that I'm sure will be just as tasty as my chicken blt sandwich.
This is a great location for anyone whose looking for a lunch break near the park. It was an easy place to find, and relatively quick wait to sit down time. The Beer-cheese burger was my choice as the burger of the month, and was accompanied nicely with truffle fries. The burger was also highlighted with sauerkraut which is some of my favorite food. The staff was kind and I look forward to coming back!
Decided to take a break from the park for dinner and chose this place. We were seated pretty quickly and CeCe our server was awesome! She was professional, attentive and made our experience so enjoyable! I did bump it down one star because I wish they had the Bees Knees gin cocktail, the cucumber gin cocktail they had was okay, but not what I was craving. Everything else was perfect!
Very family friendly outdoor dining! There's so many places to enjoy in Downtown Disney, but Uva keeps you in the heart of the action while providing incredibly friendly and attentive service. Full bar and great craft beer on tap. I enjoyed the fish tacos and a local IPA! For families with young kids, they had a full kids menu (and bathrooms inside). They're also right next to ice cream!
Best bar for cocktails in the LA Disneyland properties, and the food was pretty good too. Wait times can be long, and the food service was a bit slow when they were busy.
They had fun Halloween themed drinks, I’d recommend!
Fantastic bar right in downtown disney, when all other restaurants are full with an hour long wait or longer this is the best place to go to grab a quick bite or grab a drink. The food is fabulous and the drinks can't get better. The staff is great, and there are even outdoor heaters to keep you toasty warm on those chilly nights. If you have not been to Uva Bar, give it a try and you won't be dissapointed.
This is a beautiful place to dine al fresco in the center of downtown Disney. You line up to enter in a queue. 80% of the time I'm able to be seated immediately. They have a lovely drink menu and the food is excellent. I highly suggest the corn arapas. I also tried the chicken gyro, the fish tacos, and the berry mojito. Everything is good. Service is good. And eating outside in California is always good!
Bright, colorful drinks served on a pretty terrace. The menu is fairly simple because of the 19, but everything was delicious. Ps. The garlic fries came out hot and crispy and covered in GARLIC. Highly recommend.
Great Beer selection and the food selection isn't too bad. Fish Tacos are great, the best in Downtown Disney and the Flatbread is amazing, I had to order a second! Service is decent.
Needed a place to kill time in Downtown Disney so we stopped here for a drink. The cocktails were expensive but tasty. Bartenders were pretty attentive occasionally checking in on us. Outdoor dinning seating and vibes were great for a cloudy mid-day drink.
Came for breakfast with the family.
Excellent food, our waitstaff (Aida) was amazing and patient with the little kiddos.
As a dad who cleans up the kids plates, I can’t recommend the kids waffles enough — better than the “Mickey” varietals around 😃
Who doesn’t love Happy Hour? $10 for a strong margarita really hit the spot. This is a nice looking place and even though I didn’t have a meal at this location, the food looked delicious.
A visit to the outside bar is fantastic!
If staying for a while and drinking beer.....grab the pitcher! You'll save money in the long run.
Seating can sometimes fill up. Best to visit during the down times of the day (avoid dinner time).
Great food and drinks service was really great friendly staff would definitely recommend this place . anyone downtown Disneyland
