I'm visiting Anchorage from Denver, CO and discovered this amazing bakery. The food quality and selection are first-rate, and the staff are all welcoming and engaging. There is a real sense of community here, and the commitment to quality and health are so evident. This is the BEST bakery!!!!
I had a wonderful conversation with the owner, who clearly has a deep passion for people, healthy food, and authentic relationships!! I am deeply inspired by her deep commitment to sustainability, excellence, quality, corporate responsibility, and to fostering the health of her community! Our country and the world need more people like her!!
It’s the best bake shop in Anchorage, actually Alaska as far as I know. It’s pricy for anywhere, but it’s worth the treat, once and a while, however I do admit that we are regulars there and go often.
The bread is simple and amazing, this is true bread, it is NOT the stuff you find at typical American sandwich shops. This is the bread of life, where it all started when bread became bread. It’s the bread of Plato, the essential bread.

Fire Island made my daughter’s beautiful wedding cakes for her wedding last weekend. They were outstanding. A lovely polenta cake with raspberry filling, and a yellow cake with whipped raspberry frosting. They were both delicious and beautiful. I highly recommend them.
Can't believe it took me so long to find this absolute gem! Perfect in every way--clean, friendly staff, amazing selection of THE best pastries you'll ever eat, and great downtown location. I'm a customer for life! �
My originally being from Long Island and now residing in Seattle is what initially drew me to this place. I am so very very thankful I found it!
My great grandmother owned a bakery in New York City and I can only imagine the artesian talent & love she put into her offerings. I see it here, I smell it here, and I taste it here! There's something that draws me to FIRE ISLAND RUSTIC BAKESHOP more so than it's great great taste. The staff is very friendly and accommodating as well!!!

We are in love with their scones and other baked products like the bread. We
like the sweet type things but not too sugary or too syrupy sweet and these just hit the spot.

I had never heard about this bakery then I saw them on FB. We stopped by and picked up several different things to try... EVERYTHING was delicious! The Lime Macaroons were so, so amazing! The staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. Definitely going back!

If You don't know about the Fire Island Rustic Bakery then You are seriously missing out! It's where I eat amazing soups and sandwiches, and eclairs, and Specialty Breads made right in front of me everyday I work! The customer service is TOP NOTCH! YOU WONT BE SORRY!
BESIDES , there is a cute little Salon with an Amazing Master Nail Technician and Master Stylist next door! Lol!
Come check out all the goodies! Eclairs, cookies, cakes, Harvest European breads, soups, salads! Coffee and tea! Oh my!
And, come visit next door at The Nail and Hair Boutique with Eve and Lorraine Hensley, Stylist located inside the Nail Boutique!
