Great service, my drinks hadn't tasted better than these bartenders mixes anywhere, the food is deliciousness and the crowd is hot and friendly! It's been my place to go since I first enter the establishment couple years back! Gives a chill and relaxing atmosphere, mood is so right you just want to sit back and suck on drinks! I will always love to spend my evenings here!!!

Pizza Good Service Bad. Pizza is generally very good. Had a bad experience the last time we went as they completely messed up our to go order despite reading it back to me. The cashier took no ownership of the mistake, made no attempt to correct it and generally acted disinterested in dealing with the situation. Attempted to give feed back on the Humpy's (parent company) website but was not contacted by management to address the situation. I think this is consistent with most of my experience with Humpy's bars and restaurants, good food and drinks but they kind of act like it is your pleasure you get to spend money in their establishment. I'll continue to go because of it's convenience with my work but if not for that I probably wouldn't make a special trip until they get a manager who cares to solve their service issues.

Maybe not quite Moose's Tooth caliber, but the pizza was good and the atmosphere is good for a sports bar!

Awkward.. My biggest issue with this place is layout; the largest seating area is directly to the right of the front door, so when we arrived, and a "Budweiser," event was taking place, we stood outside the front door waiting for the individuals standing at the table (and blocking the doorway) to finish their raffle. The other tables around the perimeter are seating for 4 - 5 people, some seated by 1 individual desiring table space with no alternatives for individual seating. The bar, tiny and completely filled gave a little more elbow room than the only other alternative; the outwards facing small counter space that lines the left-hand part of the room - beware: if you sit here, you will be dodging elbows of the pool players that lack adequate space to co-exist with anyone not playing, and the counter is not large enough for a pizza, or even large enough to use plates for appetizers. This is all if you can get past the horribly uncomfortable seating and the cold rush of wind as the doorway to Subzero opens repeatedly. It feels like they tried to hard to make half of this area "bar-like," (think, The Avenue) - stretching their space restrictions thin.

The decor was awesome! From what we could see upon turning around (as the side-counter seats face the white, blank backs of posters that grace the windows looking out) was a good mixture of rustic/metallic warehouse-esque styling complete with a brick and wood bar back facade, well-lit with warm, inviting lights.

We picked-up the "Forget-me-knots," soft, doughy knots that are said to contain garlic butter and romano cheese (though, ours didn't contain either) - however, they were a great "breadstick," app outside of the fact that they only served them with 3TBS. of marinara.

Thankfully, we also sampled a tried-and-true favorite; "Humpy's Hummus," which, of course comes with a heaping scoopful of hummus and all the accoutrements you could desire (cucumber, olives, tomatoes and feta) with crispy flatbread with a soft center.

We came for beer and left with having only one each; the tap handles are only visible from the bar and we were uninspired.

The service was wonderful with community regulars filling-in the holes and adding the professionalism of our industry experts.

I'm not going to write these guys off - but I'm not going to go again unless I can get one of the very few tables - wish me luck next time! (Though, maybe I'll just go down the street to Fat Ptarmigan for a guaranteed table, instead.)

*UPDATE: I visited a second time mid-week, mid-day and it was empty; allowing us to gain a table (much more comfortable) by the door and play some pool. Our server was affable, and got us our beers fast (though, I could wish for a little bit of a better selection, or at least one that changes more often - that being said, it's good to see local beer on tap!). We ordered the "Park Strip Veggie," ($19.00) but received "The Trailhead," ($17.00) - though, I was the only one that wasn't a fan of the flavor. It came with soft-steamed squash, carrots and broccoli that were pretty tasty on their own, however. I was completely enamored with their salad, "The Wedge!" ($9.00): "Crisp iceberg lettuce wedge topped with spicy buffalo bell cheese, bacon crumbles, fresh tomatoes and green onions."

Nice atmosphere and good location. Fantastic place to hang out, particularly if you enjoy beer or pool or both. The pizza is perfectly decent too. Its not over -the-top wonderful, but its certainly not bad by any means. Also, we were there shortly after they opened, so it wouldnt surprise me if they improve on their base of pretty good to build up to great!

Ever been downtown in a city where you discover culinary and libation nirvana? Flattop Pizza and adjoining Humpy’s Alehouse are just that in Anchorage. There is no one better than Elizabeth!! She served 20 of us!!! She’s literally the Queen of Awesomeville. Interior decor, seating, menu, restrooms, view, ambiance… Perfection! Oh - and the food: TOP TIER. The delicious pizza, salads, calamari, chicken wings, and Alaskan halibut options like blackened and halibut-and-chips were prized delights. A must-stop if you’re downtown. If you’re a tourist downtown, even better because you can walk there. Scrumptious!! And my first time here.

The best. Staff messaged/called people who recently messaged me when I drunkenly left my phone in the bathroom so that I could get it back. 10/10. Love them, amazing staff, good food. Makes good drinks when you don’t know what to get. Curly mustache bartender?? Solid. Fun for karaoke on Thursday nights (when I left my phone)

Pizza is great and good selection of beer and drinks. Enjoyable lively vibe and can be busy. Service is good but can take a little time if they're busy. When we were there they were short staffed but called for some extras. They gave us a free drink for our wait. It was a nice gesture.

I ended up here on a whim, the original place I wanted to try was too packed and we were hungry. Nice atmosphere. The bartender appeared to be bartending and waiting tables but he didn’t do a bad job. A tad slow, but as to be expected since I think it was just him. He was pleasant which made up for it. I must say I was pleasantly surprised! We had a small Alehouse Deluxe pie (pizza), which I had them out the vegetables on one side only and they executed. The pie was good and their wings which were small, interesting, but decent. They had a dry rub on them which was sweet/spicy. The ranch dressing was watered down as restaurants like to do. I was over all pleased with my pie, wings and adult beverage. The price was bad either as Anchorage is know for.

Was here with a large group of people. Service was good and food came out pretty fast considering we had 30+ people! Food was good.
