Great wings, and super nice employees!
Went in here last night and was not my first time but enjoyed my visit. The wings were perfect (sonic boom) and the staff was friendly.
Great Place Close To Base!. I usually do not post on these sites because I personally feel that a lot of people posting negative reviews on any restaurant are just snobby wannabe food critics.
Example - The critic that posted about the decor -- wha??? I love the decor and I love how it pays homage to the airmen and soldiers stationed just a hop skip and a jump from this restaurant.
Anyway, I really enjoy this place. I like the concept of the punch card for loyal customers too! There has only been a couple times that I have had a long wait for food, but to be honest I did not call ahead, which is something you must do because this restaurant is just so darn close to base and the movie theater. On top of that the waitress was extremely apologetic, and I just can't get mad at anyone that acknowledges me. I feel the size of the wings, friendliness of the staff, and proximity to base/atmosphere make it a much better deal than Buffalo Wild Wings, and this is my go to place for wings.
Overall, you can't beat the prices, short drive, and friendliness and the product that you get is made fresh! Also very impressed by the homemade ranch!
I love their buffalo chicken sandwich! super tasty, not messy and fresh veggies & roll. the staff is very friendly and really appreciate your business.
Adequate. We tried this place and the wings are tame, so you might want to bump up your spice choice a notch higher than usual if you like a little burn with your wings. Wings were average size, but light on sauce. I'd ask for extra next time. All in all, if you know how to work around some shortcomings, it is adequate, just not great. If they'd go for the larger size wings and make the wings wet, it would take them to the next level. With so many other options nearby, I don't know if we'd make it a go to destination, but it's adequate.
Love businesses that go the extra yard. The owner(Howard) is polite and very helpful. Good fast food made to order. Philly is extra good and the mushrooms are extra crisp. Had a second order of spicy BBQ sliders. Fantastic spicy sauce. You have to love places like this with a staff that cares. If it isn't right they will make it right. Small dining hall with good atmosphere. I will definetly be back!
Pretty good. Had them July 2012. I had an order of 10 wings, the wife had a sandwich, and we split a side order of "macaroni and cheese wedges" and drinks. Came out to about $31 which (in my opinion) is a little pricey for a meal that doesn't even really fill me up ... even by Anchorage standards.
I thought the wings were really good. My wife did not like her sandwich, but who goes to a wing place for sandwiches anyway? The cheese wedges were okay, about what you would expect fried macaroni triangles to be.
Atmosphere was good, and the employees were friendly.
I love these wings!!. These wings were great! I ordered the BBQ wings and was very happy with my choice. The wings were cooked perfectly as the outside was crispy and the inside was tender and juicy. Their BBQ sauce was very tasty and I was lucky enough to get to try a house made blue-cheese that they were testing out that was fantastic. I also had an order of fries that were delicious and reminded me or Arby's curly fries. The customer service was really on point as well as the restaurant owner was even running around making sure that everyone was taken care of and happy. I would definitely recommend trying out Wild Wings n' Things with a friend as I am sure you will not be disappointed.
Hit and miss. The first time I went here, the wings were cooked perfectly but the bomber sauce was not really hot at all. The wings were cooked perfectly though. I have been back twice and both times, the wings have been over cooked. Try and pull the wings out at least 2 minutes earlier. The kamakazi sauce was really good. It had a great heat to it. We did try the lemon peper and it was extremely salty and inedible. I ended up having to wash it off to be able to eat it. It was just a generic lemon pepper seasoning. Id suggest to stay away from it. I will go back in hopes that they start cooking their wings right. If not, bye bye.
I later found out via google that this place is a chain when I was originally under the impression is was fully local. That was disappointing, but at least (from what I recall) an Alaskan owns it.
We really love this place, and we will be back many times in the future. I tried the Bomber Wings and they were the perfect blend of spiciness and flavor. There are so many choices on sides- I can't wait to go back to try them all. Our wait was brief and the owner, Howard, was out front to take care of us from the minute we walked through the door until we left. Great new addition to the Tikatnu area!
Great wings with lots of flavor. Love the up beat fun atmosphere. We will definitely be back. Our server Jen was awesome. We had some strange requests, extra items ..things on the side. Etc. She didn't forget anything!! We were impressed.
I LOVE IT!!!!. Great food, I have been there about 5 times and each time the food was amazing I love the choices and you can't find FRIED PICKLES ANYWHERE ELSE. It seems to me that the store is clean they value their customers and the owner is great I think his name is Howard. No matter who helps me I am always greeted with smiles. and when my food comes there is a nice girl who always says let me know if you need anything, and will ask how my lunch or dinner was and is so cheerful it is a delight to have someone take care of me from my order to bringing my food and making sure everything is right!!. I will keep enjoying wild wing's this is the place to go for a great meal and service.
Thanks Jeff.
Good Stuff. I just got back to Anchorage after being gone for a couple years, and was happy to find Wild Wings in the new Tikahtnu shopping center. It was perfect because I was waiting for a movie to start in the theater and had about 30 minutes to grab a bite.
The staff was cheerful and friendly. I ordered the Bomber(mild but still a little spicy) flavored wings and loved them. The selection of flavors is cool and next time I might choose Lemon Pepper.
The restaurant is very clean, and very comfortable, and has a widescreen TV to zone out too while eating. Good place with reasonable prices. Just ten bucks for ten of the best wings I've had in the area. I will definitely head back because I'm tired of pizza and burgers. I like the aviation theme, too, since I'm a pilot.
Wow!. Every man has his price, and mine is good wings. I thought this place was great. Spicy? Yes! But not painful. Just savory. With items like fried macaroni and cheese, fried pickles and multiple chicken wing flavors I was in southern cooking euphoria. Honestly this place put some thought and care into their sauces. The wife and I will have to start showing up 45 to 50 minutes early for movies from now on. I expect I'll be placing a super large 100 wing order within a month for a party I'm throwing. I can't wait to try every flavor. I'm glad this establishment was set up on my commute to and from work.
We met the owner and he was the definition of kind and friendly. He told us some of his preperation secrets and subtle differences that he was trying with some of his sauces that my mouth immediatly picked up on. Oh! And sweet tea as a fountain drink! I wont be going to B-dubs ever again. This place was the A-1 Bomb Diggty Dog!
