Since moving to Alaska we have been looking for a sushi place. Coming from Hawaii we are very particular about the quality and selection of sushi we are able to get. After looking around we decided to try I Luv Sushi. The selections of sushi were more than I expected. The prices were fair for the quality of ingredients used. Being that it was New Years Eve, the restaurant was slightly busy and the sushi chef had quite a few orders to fulfill. The chef stood behind a refrigerated bar and cut the fish to order. It was about a twenty to twenty five minute wait for our order to be completed. Again we didn’t mind because of the holiday. The hostess/waitress who was running around herself was cheerful and kept checking on us throughout our wait. We would recommend this place to others and will be back.
I am continually impressed with everything on this menu. Every sushi dish is so fresh and unique. Their happy hour menu is available all day and an amazing value. The Thai speciality dishes are so great too. Great atmosphere!!!! Amazing service. Favorite sushi hands down in Anchorage!

I love this place. I always get the sashimi sampler a beer and a sake. Always fresh and delicious. Service is excellent every time even though I am sitting at the bar. I like one watch them prepare the dishes.

Great customer service. Went here for Valentines day with my gals knowing other sushi places were already full & had to wait for an hr to get seated we decided to give this place a try & it turned out great. What we order was tastyy & freshly made. Must try.
Such a cute place. Really nice space inside, with a karaoke stage! And yummy sushi and veggie tempura. Felt reasonably priced. I really want to try out their lunch menu bento boxes.
Ice tried a dozen of their rolls and they have always been delicious. Rice is never old or undercooked. The only "bad" thing I can say about them is that they don't deliver - not a big deal since I live and work within 5 mins!
Very nice service combined with a menu that goes beyond just sushi makes this place a wonderful place to dine with friends. Plus, the prices aren't that expensive, especially considering the quality of the food.
I came here to celebrate, but unfortunately it was just an okay experience. It was busy that day with only two waitresses working, after 10 minutes of being seated we were offered drinks, 25 minutes our order. We had to call over the waitress to request our soup, salad and hot towel after 30 minutes and 1 hour later part of our food arrived and another 15 minutes later an appetizer we ordered made its way to us. My honest opinion about the sushi? The albacore, uni, seared tuna and oyster tasted old, the squid and octopus were too chewy, the rice for the sushi could have been more flavorful and the sushi pieces were much too big for an average bite. In appearance it was great, so if you want to impress it’s alright. I wouldn’t say it was worth the price though.
