This place has been around forever! I used to go with my mom once a month or so probably 30+years ago. It's a locals spot on the "wrong side of town" but it's clean, unassuming and friendly. It's not unusual to see a Bubba in one booth sitting near a judge and attorneys in their own booth.
The meat
Very nice staff, small home feel environment. Food is very good. It costs a little higher for like a meat n three plate than other places. For example, if they'd give five instead of three chicken fingers, it'd be better. The sides are small as well. Thats my only complaint. Been there many times.
My first time here. The wait was about 15 minutes for 4 plates. Our food was fresh. The macaroni and cheese was very good. The resturant was clean and plenty of seating. Came here today for a quick meal. I’m front out of town but travel numerous states. This is the hold in the wall I look for. Quality food, real food, southern cooking at its best. Can’t wait to stop by again. Got to meet the owner. Super nice guy.
It was a slow night, but the food and the service were awesome. I had fried chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese which was real good, and squash casserole which was spot on. They have some of the best rolls too.
