Service was good. The interior felt a little dated. I found the margaritas to be too sweet and I had to buy an extra shot of tequila to taste it (add $6). The meals were good but exceptionally over priced in my opinion $15-17 on average for a meal. It seems like all the local Mexican restaurants have upped their prices a lot but these seemed even higher than average!
We came here on recommendations from friends, but with all the choices this is not my favorite Mexican restaurant in town.
I’ve been eating here for over 20 years and it’s always stayed the same warm, welcoming restaurant with memorably delicious food. My favorite dish would include the fish tacos and I always double on their rice since it’s so yummy. Nothing but good memories here.
My family has been going to Cazador for many years and the food has always been good but I had to leave a review for the excellent experience we had last night.
We came in with a party of 11 to celebrate my son’s 21st birthday and not only did they take amazing care of us, but they also made my son’s night one to remember.
As usual the food was excellent and so were the margaritas!
My husband had the Chicken Fajitas, and they were AMAZING! I had the Burrito Mexicana. Mine was good, but next time I plan on getting the fajitas.
We really like this place. It seems like there's a new Mexican restaurant appearing constantly in Ankeny. This one has been here a while and the food is FAST and good and consistent. Highly recommend.
I brought my wife and kids in with their first visit to Cazador and they really enjoyed it ... wife and myself chose the Taco bowls (she had the beef and I had the steak & chicken combo) (beef preferable Tastier) youngest chose cheese quesadilla (4 yr old gave thumbs up) 13 yr old chose the burrito Mexicano( I had a bite it was delicious!) Not a bad pricing of around $48
No deserts this round ~ pretty full and not a fan of desert custards...
Nice local Mexican restaurant with all of your normal menu options. They did have a nice Monday Margarita special that was a bonus.
