Agreed with most reviews here that "old legacy authentic Chia Shiang is gone". Ordered twice for carry-out since the pandemic and were not satisfied with the dishes we ordered. For me personally I would just simply not go back though this place used to be one of my favs in AA.

Had a nice dinner for 3 here. Everything was really good, though anticipate spice. They made one dish with just half spice for my mother in law and it was still too spicy. They had lots of vegetarian options, and even plenty with mock meats too. They gave me the wrong dish, but they one they served
Love this cozy restaurant. Best place to get authentic Shanghai and Zhejiang style dishes in Ann Arbor. You can get solid northern dishes here as well. They have the best quality of food and friendliest service among Chinese restaurants near the central campus.

This used to be a good restaurant. Alas, no longer. Out of the three dishes in our take out order, one was barely edible and two were just nasty. Especially disappointed with the Sichuan boiled beef which was truly foul.

If you enjoy spicy food, I highly recommend the Xinjiang style spicy chicken and spicy shrimp in hot pot. Yum.
