Institution. At leasty a dozen people stared at me incredulously after I told them today was my first visit to Chris's. It's an Annapolis institution for Greek food. Gyro platter was huge, tasty, and fresh. The family-run spot was busy with sit down and take out lunchers.
One thing to update folks on, they now take credit cards (MC/Visa).
Good food at a great price with friendly service.. This place was very affordable and the staff was really friendly!
An Annapolis staple for decades, Chris’s (sic) is cozy quiet and probably not fit for large groups (of say, more than six). Order their Gyro platter. It’s worth every dollar. End of story. I’m sure they’ve got other good eats here, but I wouldn’t know. If
Satisfied 😌 the Greek food craving. This is a nice spot with quite a bit of dine in space and perfectly spaced out for social distancing. Our waiter was attentive and polite. The food was fantastic! They have a great selection. My wife got the Dolmades and I got the Pastichion. We'd definitely go back if we're in the area again and would recommend it to anyone looking for great Greek food in Annapolis.
I've been here dozens of times, but this review is specific to my recent visit on New Years Day 2021. As usual the place was clean, the service was pleasant, and the food came quickly. This would be a 5 star review if it weren't for three minor things. First, the server obviously did not stagger our order, so our appetizer and entrees arrived at the same time. This is often forgivable when a restaurant is very busy, but there were only a couple other tables in the place when we were there. Second, and this is harder to forgive, our fries were lukewarm. Hot crispy fries are usually a given at Chris's, so I'll write this off as an outlier. Lastly, and thus is kind of silly, but still worth noting, a decorative bell hanging in the doorway left a large scratch on my friends head when we exited. I'll still be back to give them another shot. I have no doubt they'll make up for this poor showing next time.
If you are looking for real deal Greek cuisine in Annapolis - this is THE spot.
Family owned and operated -
Their specialty is their Gyro - which is awesome ... but everything else is great too. Try the baklava!
The staff is super friendly, attentive and accommodating
They offer done in and carry out
I've been coming to Chris's since I was a kid in the 90s. It's got great food and great service! Get the athenian chicken or gyro platter, you cant go wrong. The pizzas are amazing, huge and delicious. The hot steak and cheese subs are also the best around. This place has seating inside for a group or you can get take out, I've done both and had great food either way.
My wife has a classic gyro platter, I had the chicken gyro platter. Best gyros we have had in years. Very hard to find an authentic Greek restaurant with quality food. They nailed it!
We are making this restaurant part of our routine.
I'm from Chicago, where I was used to good gyros from most neighborhood places. After leaving chicago over 5 years ago I finally found a place that serves a classic gyro and reminds me of the Greek family neighborhood restaurants that served good comfort food. I have been here 3 times and have ordered a gyro sandwich each time. I can't speak for the rest of ther menu, but the gyro, friendly service, and convenient location keeps me coming back.
Ordered the small country salad. I said, "Wow, that's small?"
Very nice presentation, delicious, and on the spot fresh main entrees with good service. Will go again. Busy place.
I leave in the us for the last 3 years and every time im missing home im looking for a good Mediterranean food.
