AMAZING! First time here came last night for a little Birthday dinner with my family. Sara was our waiter and she was beautiful and wonderful, I want to thank you all about the incident my daughter had with her ceaser salad, you all were very respectful, nice and very attentive to my daughter, thank you thank you very much for that. Our dinner, drinks and desserts were divine! Love how all staff works as a team. My family and I appreciate your wonderful service. Thank you Derby and can't wait to come back for a date night!😁
A southern California gem, this place is a must if you're around Santa Anita. Self parking and valet is available. Reservations are required. Must try try their crab access, surf and turf, and bread pudding.
There were four in our group. We knew we were in a steakhouse, but decided to go against the flow and order salmon. The fish was done to perfection as were the two vegetable sides that I ordered. Yes, the entree was excellent but the dessert was even better. My cheesecake dessert was the best I've ever experienced. So, the food and service were excellent. The only downside I noticed was the price and a fairly noisy ambience. Suggestion: don't sit in the same room with large tables.
This will be the third time in the last three months that I've been to The Derby celebrating special occasions, this place does not disappoint. Be prepared, this is an expensive meal and drinks but is worth the price you pay for a meal and the service is exceptional. We requested a special seat by the fireplace and it was lovely and cozy. We all shared a shrimp cocktail for started and it was delicious. I enjoyed the house special, Sea Bass with a side of their delicious cream corn; the Sea Bass is served with broccoli and a potato side but I wanted to try their cream corn which was absolutely delicious.
Had a great dinner. The service was amazing. Staff was very friendly and polite and our waitress made great recommendations. Will definitely return when I'm back in the area.
We had a very nice dinner. The service and food are both outstanding.
What an absolutely delightful dining experience! Bobby, our waitress, is entertaining and friendly. We ordered the three course menu ($65 per person) and additional grilled asparagus on the side. Our bill came to be about $200, a relatively modest price for a steakhouse dining experience for the holidays.
Complimentary: garlic cheese bread - amazing
Appetizers: roasted brussel sprouts and crab cake - also amazing, be warned the sauce on the crab cake has a slight kick
Main entree: bacon wrapped filet mignon and prime rib, both with potato romanoff side dish (a must get!) - delicious and very filling
Dessert: bread pudding and tuxedo mousse cake - very yummy
I will definitely return to this spot! What a gem to find in Arcadia.
First timer for The Derby, went there as a Plan B because I had reservations elsewhere but didnt work out. I had a different impression of what The Derby would be and boy was I wrong, it was really nice. I loved the atmosphere, our server was amazing, the starter, wine, meal, and dessert were all fantastic, probably the best meal I've ever had.
