It was really great! Service was great and the food was super yummy. Only critic I have is there was a bit too much rub on the chicken but had great flavors!

Keep in mind the heat is a step or two hotter than the regular. Some of the best collards and make sure to grab a cookie!

My family and I stopped in today for a mid afternoon meal. The service was extremely friendly, the atmosphere is laid back, and the food is EXCEPTIONAL! My kids had chicken tenders and waffles, while my wife and I shared 2 Honey Mild thighs and collard greens. Everything we tasted was exceptional, and I will definitely come back. 5 stars, highly recommended!

Worth the hours drive up from Chesnee. Glad to hear they are possibly expanding to an additional location in Upstate SC.

Stopped here while on vacation in Arden. A few people recommended this place, so we had to check it out. Well, the food is truly amazing!! We did take out, but the restaurant is very nice inside, so perhaps next time we would dine in. We ordered chicken tenders with the honey mild sauce. It was super moist, and sauce was very tasty!! Sides were sweet potato casserole and mac & cheese. Both were excellent as well! Our friends ordered the fried legs (not pictured), and they were huge! We now know why this place was recommended to us. We couldn't agree more! Will definitely, for sure, eat here again when we come back to this area!! Highly recommend!!

The food was good as always. The portion sizes are usually pretty big which is nice. It’s a little expensive getting a meal but it is good food. The outside seating was pretty nice except for the flies which came out pretty quick. It really is a nice location and if you like Rocky’s it’s likely quicker to go to this one since it’s less packed than the one on Smokey Park. Thanks Rockys staff!

Heard they had some "hot" wings. I get let down alot with places that claim they have "hot" wings only to find they are mild at best. Well not this place... their spiciest wings, which I later found out is actually a rub, whooped my @$$! I could only eat 2... well done! Great food! Mashed potatoes were amazing also! Great beer! When they say HOT.... they mean HOT!

Went on Fish Friday, yes they have fish on Friday. Some of the best Fish and Chips I've had. The homemade Tarter Sauce was amazing as well, I think I dipped everything I had in it. We ate at around 3 pm so there was plenty of seating on a Friday, lunch and dinner is a different story so plan ahead and expect a line to order, seating is never a problem. The meals ordered were Chicken and Waffles, a small Fried Pickles, and A Pot Pie that measured 8" across, no kidding.

First off, very cool place to eat and I am glad that I visited! It has a very relaxed environment and service was excellent. Had a line out of the door when I arrived in the afternoon (~15 min wait). If you're not a local, use the time to look at the menu while you wait. What I ordered: 3 piece tender plate with crinkle cut fries and fried okra with cheerwine bbq dipping sauce. I added on a additional thigh and a coca-cola cake. All the chicken I got flavored in Rocky's hot sauce. Review: Chicken tenders were very juicy had a really good amount of Rockys Sauce on top of them. As far as spicyness I give it a 7/10. It's hot enough to make your nose run, but doesn't dish out punishment for choosing that spice level. If you're more spice sensitive, select a lower heat level and enjoy the flavor. Tenders overall 7/10 Chicken thigh was really juicy and had more sauce than the tenders. It seemed to penetrate further into the meat as well. 8/10 Fries were crinkle cut obviously and had a good blend of crispy but not overcooked. 8/10 Okra was fried perfectly and reminds me of south Louisiana 10/10 Coke Cake was a little dry but still tasty. Very chocolatey and the icing on top reminds me of fudge. 6/10 Total bill was ~35 bucks with a drink/tip, so a pretty good value all things considered. In summary: A very swanky restaurant with a good atmosphere, outdoor seating, and lots of things to choose from. I'll for sure be back! 9/10 will dine again!

Wow! Really impressed with this place. The staff was so friendly and walked us through all the spice levels. She was patient with me and my young one. Very accommodating. The food was all very good. I fell in love with the Zippy Ranch. Perfect amount of flavor and spice. I got the Rocky’s Hot and it wasn't too spicy for me. Great balance and the heat mainly comes from dry spices. Overall, very good!

Recently, while visiting from Atlanta, we stumbled upon Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack in Hendersonville, NC, and it turned out to be a serendipitous discovery of the finest caliber. This establishment isn't just a chicken joint; it's a culinary haven that serves up some of the most tantalizing chicken dishes I've ever had the pleasure of savoring. The cashier recommended the chicken wrap, a choice that wouldn't typically catch my eye, but I decided to give it a whirl. The result? An explosion of flavors that left me thoroughly impressed. It was a rockstar of a wrap, indeed. My daughters opted for the honey chicken tenders, accompanied by a side of Mac & Cheese that was nothing short of incredible. The tenders were succulent, and the Mac & Cheese was rich and creamy - a perfect pairing. They rounded off their meal with the chocolate and banana puddings, both of which were a hit. Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack, you've done an outstanding job. Your culinary prowess is undeniable, and I can't help but wish you'd bring your magic to Atlanta. Thank you for an unforgettable dining experience. Your fresh ingredients and incredible flavors didn't just satisfy our hunger, they entertained our taste buds in a way we won't soon forget. Five stars well-deserved!

What a FUN & FAB casual chicken “shack” in Arden! Not only is everything they serve surprisingly delicious and amazingly consistent, portions are generous. LOVE that it’s locally owned and clearly popular. Everything SO fresh! Don’t hesitate if it’s crazy busy. Rocky’s handles all with efficiency and good humor. Not to mention, they ethnically source local produce & chickens, BRINING them the old-fashion way, making the meat incomparable when it comes to juicy, tasty tenderness. Their biscuits and collards are just like a southern grandma’s. Real deal &, to date, those are my fave sides!

Delicious chicken on the bone. The drumstick is NOT a meager size. Mild spicy was good and slightly better than the mild honey in my opinion. The corn pudding was a good side with a nice sweetness to it. We preferred the chicken on the bone versus the chicken sandwiches but both were delicious!

A must when visiting Asheville! Quick service, great food! The spice is a little hotter than we both expected, the south doesn't play around when it comes to seasoning! Some of the best, juicy, tender chicken we've ever had! Also the pickle chips are an absolute must to start!

Hot damn this place was good! I did the tenders medium and they had plenty of spice. Will probably try the hot next time just to live on the wild side. Definitely see why this place is so busy most of the time.

Stop scrolling reviews and just go! It’s worth the wait. Rocky’s has been on my list for quite sometime but I never really got over there when I was thinking about it or drove by en route to somewhere else. We’ll the stars recently aligned and my wife and I went. The food was absolutely delicious — chicken was stellar, homemade ranch was a solid choice and the sides were as good as the entree. We’ll be coming back very soon.

Great chicken with lots of spice levels and sauces to choose from. We tried the grilled chicken tenders with coleslaw and crinkle cut fries as sides. The tenders were large and juicy and grilled to perfection. The fries were good and the slaw was not too sweet. We also had the Chicken Pot pie which we heard about and had to try...the crust was flaky and buttery and there was plenty of chicken and veggies inside. It was great! The service was really helpful and friendly and attentive. The pickup window is in the parking lot and it was busy. We got there at 5pm and it got busy after that.

Best hot chicken 🍗 in North Carolina. The Mac and Cheese balls with the spicy ranch is one of the best side dishes ever! Love the atmosphere and the food!

This place is fantastic! A coworker brought me here for lunch and warned me about the different levels of spice. I decided to go with the medium and it was the perfect level. Everything was so good. Pictured is the three piece wing plate with collards and a homemade biscuit. The chicken was so crispy and delicious. The collards were amazing and the biscuit melted in my mouth. This place fills up quickly, so get there early. Definitely coming back for future visits.
