Had brunch, it was incredible. We were able to get there around closing and still able to get all of the food options. The bananas foster and banana bread French toast was amazing. Omelettes and eggs Benedict made to order. I would recommend it for amazing views and food, and a great environment. If you are in the area it's a must see!
Everything about this place was magnificent. I was worried they might lean too heavily on the atmosphere and phone it in with the food! That was not so! They deliver on all metrics! The service was outrageous. The food was spectacular. And the views… oh my! Well worth the $$! Make reservations. Plan ahead. Then enjoy the heck out of it. Our service was spectacular. Can’t recommend enough.
A beautiful place for lunch and I'm sure even more beautiful for dinner. The food was great, left me with a smile on my face after the first bite. Service was perfect, checked on us enough but not too much to interrupt the meal. Drinks were delicious.

This place does not just have the BEST view ever, this place has it All! There is no better service than you receive here. They are attentive to your every need. They are always happy, smiling and happy to help with anything you need. There was a great menu with plenty to choose from. The proportions are HUGE let me tell you. Did I mention the BEST view.......this place overlooks the grounds of the Inn with layers and layers of walking trails, mountains, spa, pools and golf course. I had the lobster salad and it was enough to feed about three people and it was SO delicious. My friend got the crab roll sandwich and it was so big she had to give up the bun half way through and it was delicious with a brussel sprout Cole slaw (which I had never heard of) it was warm when we were there but I did see the biggest heaters I have ever seen at an outdoor restaurant so I am sure it is absolutely beautiful sitting out there when it is cool outside. This place surely will not disappoint you, you need to make a trip and see for yourself!
A beautiful place to watch the sunset. Food is fantastic, but very high price. It is very good, but not a good value. There is much better food throughout Asheville, for much lower price. You are paying for the location and the view, and those things can’t be beat!
We stopped by for drinks and to scout out The Grove Park Inn for a girl's Spa/retreat. Absolutely beautiful grounds with lovely nooks for group viewing. The spa was beautiful from what we saw, however we did not get a tour. It was a fabulous way to end our Ashville stay.
Amazing food and a great view that is unmatched in Ashville! Is a little tricky to find as it is located in the Inn but it's worth the extra effort.

We celebrated our 36th anniversary recently. We loved our table on the Sunset Terrace. We enjoyed meeting our waitress Alex. She was very helpful with menu items. We enjoyed our cocktails, crab cake appetizer, tomato and onion salad, entrees, and the dessert they shared with us. We hope to come back next time we are in Asheville.
Everytime I'm in Asheville to visit my daughter I have to come here. The views of the Blue Ridge Mountains are just stunning and being able to see the Sunset at this restaurant is just a beautiful atmosphere. Definitely pricey but worth it for the views and food we ordered was delicious.
First and foremost let me say that I would come back here just for the incredible service we received from Alex. I hope management reads this review and gives her a nice raise! When you employ someone who not only takes amazing care for your customers but does such an amazing job that they want to come back for the wonderful service, that's someone worth rewarding.
Let's talk about the food - O M G, every fish that was served was INCREDIBLE. From the amazing shrimp cocktail, the potato and leak soup, the absolutely delicious short rib melt on the most perfect sourdough bread, the perfectly cooked smash burger and finally the desserts!!!!!! Not a single bad bite! It was absolutely DELICIOUS.
And finally, you truly cannot beat the views!!! They are incredible
Overall, the Sunset Terrace offers an incredible dining experience with top notch customer service, fantastic views and mouth watering food that will keep you coming back for more.
We will definitely be back!!!!!
