This is an amazing wood fired pizza joint. My first taste left a lasting impression. The pizza is a staff favorite called the Baby Blue. It is a white pie with blue cheese, pears, caramelized onions, and walnuts. The waiter's suggestion of adding a salty meat, in this case prosciutto, was inspired. The crust is hand made, hand tossed, chewy and superbly baked. The beer selection is eclectic, with plenty of local picks. In short, a great experience. One I would recommend to anyone. A solid five star experience. Well done!

Really, really awesome food and experience. We got a mix of paninis, pizza, soup and salads and everything was just wonderful. Great food and cool atmosphere outside with the train tracks. Would definitely recommend!!

Had wood fired pizza at a different restaurant and was not impressed...then my husband and I went to fresh...so good! Cheesy garlic sticks and pizza sooooo good! Good beer selection and homemade desserts! Just had their tirramasu, fantastic!

By far, (BY FAR) the best gluten free pizza in town. Great service, friendly environment, good beer selection, and (did I mention??!) fabulous gluten free pizza!! We also had an arugula salad that tasted like it had been picked from the garden just for our dinner!

Just had the Baby Blue Pizza... I've never had walnuts and pairs on a Pizza... unlikely combination has now become one of my favorites... just ordered my second one....fat boy likes to eat... wonderful service from both servers. Will definitely be back.

There gluten free pizza is absolutely phenomenal! One of the best gluten free crusts in town, not too crunchy or cardboard-y and actually tasted like regular, home-made, soft crust. The veggie pizza was fresh and delicious. My sister also really loved the bbq chicken pizza on regular crust.

I highly recommend this pizza joint. The pesto/ricotta/mozz/arugula pizza was ri-friggen-diculous. We went at 8 pm and it was quiet and chill. Loved it.

A friend suggested their place in black mountain. We found this location in Asheville. Solid pizza and friendly service along with fair prices. We are not residents so maybe there is better pizza in town but I could not tell you where and this place would give most pizza joints a run for their money. Enjoy!

Simply amazing pizza! Perfect crust, scintillating toppings. A must have in Asheville pizza scene. Service was very friendly and helpful. Convenient parking right across the street.

Terrific pizza! We were visiting from out of state and stopped to see the River Arts District. The serve was great very welcoming. We ordered a pizza for each of us. We're not heavy eaters but one pizza is to small for two people to share. The crust was flavorful and and very soft. The pizza is thin crust cooked over a wood fire. The sauce was good nothing special. The topping were of good quality far better than the big pizza chains. Each pizza was $13 and it was $13 well spent. If were local we'd definitely be back.

Just had a great birthday party on the deck of the new location in the River District (342 Depot Street) and some of the best tasting pizza out there! Fresh ingredients, fun and helpful staff and the atmosphere just feels good. The Napoli was amazing! 

I will be sending my friends and family to FRESH Wood Fired Pizza & Pasta.

Not a bad gluten free pizza. By far not the best I've had, dough lacked chewiness, but the topings were good. It's a counter order and sit type of place. Regular pizza looked pretty authentic to Italian and my husband enjoyed it. There are restaurants in other cities that manage the gluten free pizza dough to look and taste the same.

What a gem!!! We were visiting from Atlanta for a few days and we wanted to try it. And man...so glad we did! We ordered the Mediterranean and the Chevre pizzas....we inhaled them both!!! Very delicious..thin crust without the unnecessary fatty and oily American toppings. The girl at the register is super nice and friendly...if you go..please tip well because they deserve it.

Great service, fresh mixed green salad, and the Scarface were delicious. Sauce was a perfect tang, loaded with topping, and crust was a great balance of crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside.

Fresh West has a vibrant, complete menu with options for both discerning foodies and hangry kids. With an artsy RAD vibe and fast service, this pizza joint was a winner for my family of four. The prices were very reasonable and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. With both a patio and dining room option we’ll definitely be back!

Truly fantastic pizza!! Highly recommend stopping in. With such easy parking, no reason not to. The crust was particularly noteworthy. It was very flavorful and well made. The texture was wonderful and well baked. The Madonna, a white pizza, was flavorful and unique even for a classic. Great textures on the cheese and a good balance between dollops of sweeter cheeses with saltier. Fresh basil and garlic confit topped it off. The Scar Face was a delicious meat and red sauce pizza where every component was throughly incorporated instead of just a formality. The sauce was sweet and fresh, harmonizing well with the salty savory meats. The cheese was great.

Very good gluten free pizza! My kids and husband loved it! Be prepared to smell like you were next to a campfire. The gluten free pizza were larger than most and very good.

My wife and I had the Alaskan. That smoked salmon is insanely good on pizza! The wood fired oven adds the great flavor to the entire pizza itself and the heat from the oven cooks the pizza extremely fast! I highly recommend this place!

My wife and I were looking for a bite to eat before checking out a movie at Grail Moviehouse. We decided to get some pizza. We’re glad we went here. We went with Rose’s pizza and loved it. The crust was thin and delicious. The toppings were great - especially the garlic which was soft and buttery. They have a nice selection of beverages. I went with the Shanti Elixirs jun mocktail - blueberry basil. It is the best kombucha I’ve had - and I’ve been trying loads of them recently to find the right ones for me. Overall - it was a great meal in a wonderful area for artists and art lovers.

Great pizza place. The staff was very friendly and the food was wonderful. My daughter is very picky on her pizzas and she loved it. My other daughter, wife and I had different salads which were all delicious. My mother-in-law had the tomato basil soup and raved about. I would recommend this place to anyone.

The staff is super welcoming and the food fantastic. The large oven in the center of the room tells you the food is the center of this place. The woman behind the counter explained that their oven was ordered from Italy and a local artist decorated the exterior which is absolutely beautiful.

I am a fan of wood fired pizzas and this place is one of my favorites. I loved their outdoor sitting arrangements. The service was quick and the staff is very friendly. We ordered their Fun gUy pizza, bbq chicken, Mediterranean and Veggie delight. Each and every pizza was just perfect. We added extra red peppers to make it a little spicy and that was a good move. Their Gluten free pizza bases are really good. Definitely recommend this place is you are nearby and love wood fired pizzas.

I’ve been here multiple times - the quality is consistently excellent, the service is reliably friendly, and my satisfaction is invariably achieved. The Chica Bella pizza - “Pesto smothered in ricotta and mozzarella finished with fresh arugula and walnuts” - is just next-level good, and if it doesn’t make you happy, you may need to restructure your life.

Good pizza, crust was delicious. Had the BBQ chicken pizza, sauce was a little sweet but overall very good. Very nice folks run this place. Indoor and outdoor seating. Limited parking.
