Great place. We picked the "set menu" (around $27 per person) that came with a variety of appetizers and bread in the beginning, followed by different sorts of Cypriot meat dishes. Honestly, the decor, the food quality and friendly stuff made our trip a great experience.

The best Greek Food I’ve tried in NYC so far!
Because of the pandemic, all my international travel plans are scrapped. And one of those dream destinations was Greece. I’ve always love Mediterranean food, and Zenon Taverna helped me filled that void.
Located in Astoria, Queens - Zenon Taverna offers classic Greek food with a homey ambience. They have both outdoor and indoor seating to satisfy your needs.
I started my Greek food journey with their mixed salad, add the feta cheese and you won’t be disappointed. Paired up with the fresh, soft and warm pita bread and you’re you have whet your appetite.
I ordered the mix grill, a combination of lamb, octopus, pork, different sausages and halumi cheese. This is one of the best mixed plates I ever had. I chose the potatoes as my side order and it was a match made in heaven.
Finish your meal with their baklava! Its soft, pillowy, sweet and crunchy. Its the perfect way to end your greek food experience.
Aside from their extensive menu, they also have great customer service. That day, they have only two servers, but they ran the whole restaurant smoothly.
Great family oriented place, you feel like you're dining with a real Greek family. I was told to have their grilled halumi and I'm so happy I do, it was perfection.
I also ordered their grilled octopus and it was so flavorful and fresh. The pita they served was really fresh as well.
Get the grilled octopodi, spanakopita, stuffed grape leaves, and sheftalia. Looks like the outdoor seating area is closed for the season. Service is excellent. Looking forward to coming back!
Had been in the neighborhood for years but it's my first time dining at Zenon Taverna. Delicious Greek(Cyprus) cuisine. The menu looks enticing enough that my wife and I decided to try out a little bit of everything on the menu. Thank goodness they have that option, yet the Cyprus Meze meal. Everything was DELICIOUS. Will definitely come back to try out their seafood options.
The food and service were incredible. The lamb chop was juicy and perfectly cooked. Our waiter was so nice, he even gave us some extra pita to-go for our leftover dips!
The food is amazing! The seating us cozy yet still personal. They're portions are very generous. CASH ONLY! So bring a good amount. They are a bit pricey, but the quality is worth every metal cent. Their home made ice cream is next level flavorful.
I'm not a huge fan of Greek food but decided to check this place out and overall my experience was meh. After sitting outside in their streetside tables we ordered some food to which it came pretty quick. The general taste was okay but I was really surprised with how little my order came with, a few pieces of chicken and a couple quarters of potatoes, this definitely didn't feel like an actual meal. The nail in the coffin for me not returning though was the price they had charged for this small portion of food.
I would suggest to be wary and ask questions about the food you are ordering. The price seems about 50% more than what I would have expected to pay and feeling pretty down on the whole experience.
Nice little Greek spot in Astoria. Good service and well cooked meals. The grilled octopus was divine. A little pricey. Bring cash!
Food was delicious especially calamari but service could be better. We had to demand some attention from our servant he ignored us most of the time.
One of my favorite Greek resteraunts in Astoria. Tons of small plates and appetizers and all are wonderful. I come here a lot and a never disappointed. Service is always great as well. I would reccoment this place to anyone, as it's truly home cooked Greek!
A great authentic Greek dining atmosphere. The saganaki was delicious and the home cooked specials are extraordinary. WARNING - cash only. Stop by an ATM before visiting
I enjoyed lunch here a couple of weeks ago. I moved recently to the neighborhood and always pass by this place. They create a beautiful setting for outdoor dinning and it's very colorful. The food it's just incredible! The flavors make you travel to Greece immediately. I tried their home made desert and it was heaven. I love everything about this place. BEST POTATOES IN THE WORLD

Huge portions of Greek goodness at reasonable prices. Super friendly service with many homemade dishes.
Went over the weekend. Fantastic! Nice ambience. Excellent service. We were 2 couples and we ordered the 2 course meal for 2 times 2. We got the fish and the vegetarian. The appetizers were 6 amazing dishes with a bread basket. Olives, dips, etc. Very fresh. The entrees were so many dishes and wide variety. We took home a lot of food. Highly recommend! We went early and there was a big line when we left.
Absolutely awesome REAL Greek food enhanced by flavors of Cyprus (parsley; mint; cilantro). Octopus was PERFECT; lemon potatoes not too salty; chicken souvlaki a big portion and beautifully spiced without salt overload; all made fresh. Host was so accommodating and genuinely nice. Not going anywhere else for Greek food while in this area.
Been coming here for 10 years introducing people to this spot left and right, many out of towners return and beg me to take them back. Food is amazing, authentic, fresh. Saganaki! I go for that alone. Everything I’ve ever had is so so so good. Never a miss. Staff is always so charming and kind. This is probably my favorite restaurant in NYC above any Michelin.
Went here for the first time and did the fish prix fixe. The value for the menu was great. We got to try a whole bunch of their dishes a little bit of everything. I will definitely be going back. I will definitely be going back. A perfect example of another great Greek Taverna in Astoria. Just FYI this place is cash only.
