Best BBQ, ribs, brisket in town!! We had honestly the best waiter Gerald Wallace who was beyond happy, attentive and helpful with the extensive menu. Gerald’s helpful suggestions let us navigate a menu with too many yummy options to fit our meager sized bellies! His great smile and cheerful demeanor added to a meal that could not have been approved upon! His motto is “whoever sits in my section is family.” He treats everyone the way he wants to be treated! This restaurant was a welcome respite from the mid day summer heat with strawberry flavored water that is changed daily. The rib meat fell off as you were eating it and the flavor needed no additional sauce. It was infused with the smoky flavor D.B.A offers. The burnt ends of both the ribs and brisket melted in our mouths. Don’t order too much food or you won’t have room for the amazing banana pudding and homemade pudding that was divine!! Best experience yet!! The food and service here get two thumbs up from both Siskel and Ebert and Author Fonzarelli.

I deleted my previous review which was negative feedback. The management encouraged me to return and I'm glad I did. This is a bit of a drive for me, but I highly recommend it to anyone in the Atlanta area looking for some great BBQ! You can't go wrong with anything on their menu. I usually go there for brunch but my GF had stuff from their lunch menu which is also excellent!

DBA has the best BBQ in the city, hands down. Their Brunswick stew is the best recipe I have ever had. My fiancé is a server at DBA and he really loves his job and the customers. The managers are great to work for and the staff works really well as a team. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a unique dining experience. They always have a REALLY good beer selection too.

All the years I've delivered your food for various delivery companies, I've finally eaten something other than a quickly grabbed mac n cheese, and discovered it's not just your winning personalities that bring the people. :) WHY did I wait?!?! The pulled pork sandwich not only has the smoke smell, it has the taste too! Sooo good! There's enough I can actually get two sandwiches, so i will be enjoying my lunch tomorrow as well. :) Thanks!

As always I loved the food and the people. This is the only barbecue place in Atlanta that I go to. I love this place and the people so much that two years ago I proposed at this restaurant. If you want great service and great barbecue this is the place to go.

We went to the pop-up brunch last night and the food was AWESOME! It was great meeting Chef Ron. Our table tried just about everything on the brunch menu and there was nothing we didn't love. Service was exceptional and, plus, also - a great Spotify playlist. "D.B.A. Barbecue by Matt Coggin". I can't say enough good stuff about this place, thank you - keep it up!

I'm in Florida now, but am from Atlanta. Whenever I come back to town, I have a group dinner at DBA because I know the food will be great and the service will be welcoming. We love the patio!

Saw you guys on good day atlanta this morning so went tonight with my husband, we sat at the bar where the bartender name Ellie took great care of us. She knew her stuff, told us what she liked and what she would recommend for us to try. We had the fried pickles and fried jalapeños, bbq nachos and the wings and everything was delicious! Great atmosphere and all the servers were very welcoming. We will definitely be coming back!!

I would've given this place 5 stars, but the hostess needs to be replaced. She seemed irritated by having customers, and my guest and I didn't feel welcomed. Still, our server was attentive and accommodating. The the food was A1 delicious. The brisket, ribs, and pastrami were excellent, as tender as meat can be. The collards and onion rings were good also. We're already planning another visit. Highly recommend if you're a carnivore like myself.

The Reuben is very good with a nice flavor and the rye bread was also delicious. The fries had an odd taste to them, almost like the frier oil was too old or something. Also the biscuit was super tiny and not fresh at all, and at 1.50 it should be fresh and delicious, but instead it was chewy and hard. Finslly the trio of salsa, guac, and chees was just OK; neither amazing nor fresh. I will try it again in the future, maybe this was just a bad day for them.

I just love this brisket Sunday and Sat brunch is great and pair it off with a pitcher of rum punch hits the spot Also they have the best Jerk chicken and Caribbean shrimp tacos. Thursday night is adult trivia from 7:30 to 8:30 in our Friday’s adult bingo at the same time. Nice atmosphere with a covered outdoor patio. I really love trivia night it’s fun and new dinning spot.

I keep wondering if I will stop finding great BBQ in Atlanta and then I stumble on yet another great addition to the BBQ list. I really enjoyed DBA BBQ’s flavorful takes on their menu and the overall zestiness of their foods. The sauces were more on the vinegary end of the spectrum but they all had really bright and full flavors. I really enjoyed the brisket, which was thick cut and had a beautiful dark bark on the outside. The Carolina Chopped Pork was also very good, with a nice amount of flavor and spice. This is really nice spot with a large outdoor dining area. I really enjoyed it.

The staff was very nice and pleasant to deal with. I ordered the brisket chopped (lean), 12 wings (6 lemon pepper and 6 garlic Parmesan), creamed corn, collard greens and Mac & cheese. I tried to order the beef ribs but there was a $17 UP-CHARGE! The brisket was amazing, highly recommended. The wings on the other hand was very subpar. The lemon pepper weren’t any good, they lacked seasoning. The garlic Parmesan didn’t really have any flavor as well. The creamed corn was decent, I’d pass next time. The max and cheese was better than I expected. The star of the entire meal was the collard greens. Top 5 in Atlanta for sure. I’ll have to order a pint next time. Overall it was a good meal, I’d opt in for another meat next time. I would recommend visiting for those who want a quieter ambiance.

This place is not easily noticeable from the street. Drive slow when you get close. There is a private parking lot beside the establishment with limited parking shared by other businesses. This venue is pretty spacious on the inside and they seem to have a special every day of the week. I sat at the bar to watch NFL games. The staff is pretty friendly. I like that this place was not over crowded. I ordered the Big Burger with sweet potato tots. The Big Burger is a beef patty topped with pepper jack cheese and brisket. There is also some jalapenos in there. The sweet potato tots do not come with any sauce but the BBQ sauce will help. I would have given this place 5 stars but the BBQ weirded me out. They have a good variety of sauce but all the sauce are watery. I assume that the sauces are vinegar based. Couldn't you have one sauce that is not vinegar based.

Waitress was a little inpatient we had just got to table and was already asked what we wanted to drink. It was our first time like let us sit and look at menu's first. Two adults and four kids that takes time to decide what the kids want then ourselves. The food was great I'll be back soon. The kids didn't care for the lemonade it was too sour needed more water and sugar to balance it out. The sweet tea wasn't strong it seemed like it was too much water basically watered down. The waitress did switch kids drinks so that was a plus. I see they have bingo and trivia night that's great.

Great local place for BBQ! Generous sized portions and great taste. Peach cobbler was tasty and the banana pudding was amazing. All the meats (and we ordered everything) were tender and perfectly cooked and seasoned.

I dropped by here on a whim because some friends and I happened to be close by. After reading the menu we walked in and saw a pretty standard bar area where someone took our order. I had the cheeseburger with pimento cheese, fries, and the banana pudding. After receiving our food we ate on the back patio. The burger was absolutely fantastic. Easily the best burger I’ve had this year and definitely the best one I’ve had in Atlanta. Whenever I go to new places, this is the burger to beat. The pimento cheese and seasonings really elevate this from being a standard burger into being worth driving across the city for. The fries are solid. If you’ve had Five Guys, these fries definitely put me in the same frame of mind. The portions are pretty great for the price, and definitely filling. The banana pudding was good, but not extraordinary in my opinion. I could see myself ordering it again because I want it, not because I want there’s specifically. Overall, surprised this place isn’t hyped up more.

I very much judge any BBQ place on its sides. I’m not even a fan of baked beans, and the baked beans here were stellar. You have to them! The collard greens were noteworthy, as well. Loved the boiled peanuts appetizer (so southern) and sliced brisket had great flavor. Just a star off because we had to flag down our server multiple times for water refills, check, etc… but I’d absolutely return!

We ordered catering from here for our Christmas party and they were so helpful and it was excellent!! We had about 15 people and ordered 2lbs of smoked turkey, 2lbs of pulled pork with two sauces, green beans, baked beans, coleslaw, and macaroni and cheese. Everything was delicious!! They provided serving utensils. Everything was ready for pick up. It was excellent!! I ordered from here for my rehearsal dinner for my wedding and they did an amazing job then as well!! I love this place! We have also eaten in. Great seating. Nice bar. Really good food and service. You can't go wrong.

Ribs, Brisket, Smoked Wings, Brunswick Stew and the 4 Sauces are Delicious. The mac and cheese and Margaritas were good. The servers are friendly but could be a little more attentive and knowledgeable. Be back soon! I love DBA!

It was another one of those days where I had to have some BBQ. Upon doing some Yelp searching I landed at D. B. A. This location is so cute. Tucked off in the parking lot, it sits in the perfect place for a day of some light city shopping followed by some hood BBQ. Upon walking in, the first thing you notice is the cleanliness of the restaurant. The atmosphere has a neighborhood pub feel with a splash of sports bar. The perfect pairing for when you want to be out but don’t feel like having to be dressed or if you are just in the mood for a quick drink as the bar was fully stocked. There wasn’t anyone at the hosting stand so we ended up standing around as no one seemed to notice us, however, upon asking the pickup area if there was a host they were able to find someone to assist us in being seated. We decided to sit outside as it was a beautiful evening. The outside area is just as clean as the inside and still has the neighborhood pub aesthetic. Upon being seated we were greeted by Josh with his pleasant smile and upbeat welcome. As this was my first time here, I asked Josh for some recommendations and he proved to be a foodie who knew the menu perfectly. One thing I love about the D. B. A. menu is that they offer combos. I have found that most of the locations I have been to recently only offered a la carte, which isn’t my favorite when trying somewhere new. In any case, I decided to try a combo as I wanted to taste everything. LoL. I ended up with Wings, Ribs, and Pulled Pork. Oh. My. Gosh! Let’s talk about flavors. To my taste buds' pleasure, the meat was seasoned and seasoned well. This was huge for me as it proved that they don’t rely on the sauce to produce the flavor. Everything had a perfect blend of true bbq flavor with a taste enhancing balance of smoky flavor and tenderness. This meat was good all by itself. However, you know I had to try EVERY single sauce that was on the table. LoL! As I dabbled in them all, I fell in love with the Carolina sauce. (You can thank me later) Overall, this was truly a great food focused experience. I am absolutely coming back and I recommend you stop by if you’re in the mood for some good BBQ. P. S. If you decide to eat-in, make sure to ask if Josh is working. His service is amazing and he truly understands the fundamentals of providing great service.

We had DBA cater our rehearsal dinner for 60 at the Atlanta History Center and they did a fantastic job. The food was the right temperature, presentation was lovely, and the service staff were great. We considered some other caterers and felt that DBA was a much better bang for the buck. Thank you!

First time visiting with the family on a 4th of July and it was a great experience. Our server Laura was very attentive and pleasant. She made sure that we felt at home. We ordered water and a lager beer. The beer was good but it was at room temperature and I'm q cold cold beer guy. For lunch we got the Turkey Sandwich, pulled pork plate and a two meat combo plate(pork and turkey) and everything was delicious. Pulled pork was fantastic, moist and with a lot of smoke flavor. Turkey was fantastic too. For the sides we ordered cream corn, tots and baked beans. All good but I think that the beans were too sweet. Anyways friendly staff, nice ambiance and delicious food. We definitely come back.

There was a problem where my to-go order which I paid for did not make it to the kitchen. The host and manager corrected the issue immediately, offered me a seat, checked in on me multiple times, and made sure that my order was prepared to perfection. This is the kind of establishment I want to support. My only qualm is that the dining room is very loud ( a lot of happy diners, music playing, and music bingo happening). Big kudos for excellent customer service.
