The Food Shoppe - Atlanta - Photo album

This place is so good. We wanted to eat here yesterday but were told they ran out of food when we arrived. Taking that as a good sign we came back today. I got the bread pudding and I want like 10 more. It’s rich, and sweet, and hearty. Lots of soft and crispy textures. We also got the jambalaya an
This is an interesting place. It’s small but has some seating available inside and outside. Parking is kind of scarce right next to store, so your best bet is to walk. They serve breakfast all day and have sandwiches and other miscellaneous food items. I got ceasar salad, shrimp and grits and oatmea
Don’t let appearances deceive you — looks like a hole in the wall cafe but damn! They don’t skimp on flavor (and portions), so delicious. Ordered the Pasta Yaya, Voodoo Jambalaya, and bread pudding. Wish I had a bigger stomach. Everything was seasoned so well and satisfying. If you’re passing by for
We’re in Atlanta for a few days for Christmas and stopped by this place near our hotel as it has good reviews. It didn’t disappoint. We ordered the voodoo jambalaya and shrimp and grits. Food was good, especially the voodoo jambalaya which was very flavorful, and the shop owner was really friendly a
This Creole food counter has all your NOLA staples, from gumbo to jambalaya to bread pudding. We got 2 orders of jambalaya, and the staff was happy enough to accommodate us by leaving the meat and seafood out of one of the orders. The interior is pretty small and there's just enough room for 2 or 3
Delicious gumbo and the chicken in the Mac and cheese was seasoned perfectly. It’s a tiny shop but worth a stop versus the other places in the area. We checked out of the Hilton nearby and grabbed a bite to eat here before heading out of town.
I had a massive veggie omelette that came with grits and spicy potatoes. The food was filling and tasty - also a massive portion for $9. The place had atmosphere in buckets and the food was delicious. I mean, apart from grits as I loathe grits. But if you like buttery cheesy grits, this is your pl
The food is extremely fresh and flavorful. There were 4 of us who all ordered something different and we all really liked our meals! The food was seasoned perfectly for me, but was a little mild for my husband, which I appreciate because you can always add more heat but can’t make it milder. There a
It was perfect, food was delicious!!!! Fair price. I was shocked to find such great SEASONED!! food in the downtown area. Usually you have to travel in neighborhoods to find them. TJ was very helpful recommended great dishes. Hats off to the cook Chuck! Will definitely be back before I leave to Chic
Hearty and tasty dishes - thick pasta with generous hunks of dark meat chicken, shrimp, or sausage. The Mac & Cheese was RICH in a good way. Tall on flavor. We didn't finish our bowls. Wanted bread pudding as well but they were out. Service is slower than you'd like but not slower than you'd expec
Delicious food, quick friendly service, nothing more I could ask for. One of the few places downtown that's inexpensive, good, and open on a Sunday. This dish was shrimp and sausage ON A BED OF MAC AND CHEESE!! My only regret is that I didn't have a hangover so i could feel it cure me, but that's wh
Popped in randomly and had the Jambalaya. Juicy chicken and sausage full of flavor and spice. 10 out of 10 will be back and recommend if you're ever in the area and want a taste of home style creole cook. It's a must have meal Also make sure you get the bread pudding. It changed my life!
The service was fantastic! The punch was delicious. The food was okay. We will try something different next time.
Sister and I drove a little out of our way to stop by this place on our way back to SC. We were looking for lunch to go. Read reviews and decided to try . Nice mom and pop type restaurant. They have desserts on the counter which they make daily. A little hard to decide with all the good looking opti
This is the best bread pudding I've ever had, it is not over hyped. We had the shrimp and grits in both the small and regular sizes to compare. The large is about 2 more shrimp and a bunch more gritz, but the small plate is plenty for a single person. Definitely a place you have leftovers from. Ever
The costumer service here was amazing from the time I walked in to the time that I left. The food was even better. We ordered the voodoo Mac and cheese and it had a lot of flavor to it. The bread pudding was also amazing and great way to finish the meal off. I would definitely be back.
WOW. This was the best Criole food we’ve ever tried. I ordered the Criole Chicken Pasta and it was SO flavorful, the chicken very tender you could pull apart with a plastic fork. And the homemade sweet punch was really good too. My boyfriend ordered the Voodoo Jambalaya and he absolutely loved it! B
I'm from Southern Louisiana and was raised on authentic creole food with the freshest of ingredients, spices and flavors. This is the 1st time in my life that I had the exact same food flavor and freshness as my mommas homemade Gumbo and jambalaya. Absolutely the very best Cajun food out side of Lou
I ordered the red beans and rice with sausage regular portion. It was fantastic with a perfect amount of spice. Shrimp and grits in a small portion for my breakfast, but the spoonful was so tasty. Bread pudding in a scrumptious portion. The staff was friendly, smiling and provided me with a relaxin
