This place is jumping OFF!!! I wasn't sure at first because I saw that they did not have a lot of waiters and waitresses and it was only two Cooks but I have to tell you the manager stepped up cleaning off tables doing silverware and the cooks and the waiters and waitresses rocked out. I was probably like 7th on the list and waited like 10 minutes. It was worth the wait the food is delicious, the French toast is awesome and those grits are to die for so just make sure you get the Grits if you come visit. Definitely recommend this place for some good breakfast and you can go on your way and it's not that expensive
Just to be clear, the service was 5 stars but the food brought my rating down to 4.
This location is cozy and light. Located in midtown. I went around 1030 AM on a Friday. There were only 2 servers working along with the back of house crew so they were very much short staffed but both of the servers were working hard! They were also friendly and attentive which I greatly appreciated. I ordered the breakfast plate with bacon and potatoes as well as an almond milk latte and one traditional pancake. The biscuit and potatoes on the breakfast plate were a bit disappointing. I prefer the potatoes cooked a bit more and the biscuit was dry. The eggs and bacon were perfect though. The pancake was filling and tasty. The latte was surprisingly large haha but I definitely enjoyed it.
The beginning of the day sets the tone for all that follows, and a good breakfast is the vital ingredient that launches us into action—a fuel to our rocket, if you will.
In my quest for the perfect morning meal, I stumbled upon J Christopher's, a beacon of breakfast brilliance, and oh boy, am I glad I made that stop. Their menu was a delightful smorgasbord of options, beckoning me to indulge in a little bit of everything. I kicked things off with a piping hot cup of joe, the quintessential companion to any breakfast adventure.
As I delved into the culinary delights before me, I found the food to be nothing short of spectacular. To my delight, they even had grits on offer—an enigma to my taste buds, but with a sprinkle of salt and pepper, they transformed into a savory sensation (though I must admit, I'm not entirely certain if that's considered legal or not in the realm of grits expertise).
Wholeheartedly, I recommend this establishment to fellow breakfast enthusiasts. With such a robust menu, I am left with a multitude of tantalizing options to explore on future visits. The journey to sample their diverse offerings promises to be a breakfast odyssey worth embarking upon.
Very typical Atlantan diner. Good food, good vibes and hospitality. Can’t ask for anything more.
I ordered the grits with jalapeño and bacon with cheese on the side and scrambled eggs with a biscuit. It was delicious and a large portion. The biscuit was super fluffy and buttery. Everyone working there was nice and they have a good amount of tables. The coffee was plenty and fresh and they offered half and half. I would definitely return. I spent $17 for everything, which I feel is an excellent deal considering the quality and the location in midtown. The server sometimes had to be reminded of things but she was really nice and attentive to our needs.
My friend got the corned beef has with hard scrambled eggs and cheese with an english muffin and she was super pleased with it!
We got regular coffee but they do serve flavoured espresso drinks and hot cocoa as well, with whipped cream if you like that. The hot coffee is bottomless and they leave a small pot at your table. They have plenty of good breakfast and lunch options. It's also a comfy and cute place, not too loud, with eclectic art on the walls. Very nice and comforting!
J Christopher’s is without a doubt, a top tier Atlanta brunch spot. The food here is incredible and you can have a great meal without spending too much. I absolutely recommend the cinnamon swirl pancakes. They come with a gooey cream cheese drizzle on top which is a total game changer. It would be nice to see some more pancake options on the menu.
The atmosphere here is very pleasant as well. Lots of cool art on the wall and it feels very homey. Parking is a breeze as there’s a free parking deck that leads straight into the restaurant.
Service was fast and efficient and the staff was super friendly. I’m definitely going to make this a regular brunch spot!
Versatile chain serving up a wide array of breakfast and lunch classic and inventive options. Extra star for the incredibly friendly service and hospitality.
Stumbled upon this diner and it met our expectations. I had the goddess omelette and it was very tasty. My bf had the veggie omelette. Our service was good.
I go to here to eat all the time but the new cook over cooks everything. The service is alright but the atmosphere is good. The female manager is very professional and accommodating. The food is good but the new cook doesn’t know his temperatures for food.
We picked this place just because it was close to where we were staying and I am glad we did. The food was delicious and good portions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The manager (I believe named Steve) was great! He was constantly busy but took the time to check on customers. We definitely recommend checking them out and we will be back.
Found this place since we were staying nearby and we were very happy! Great service! We met the manager who was so friendly! I noticed there were a bunch of regulars in the place which was a little surprising considering it's in downtown Atlanta but I loved how you got that small town diner kind of feel! Very family friendly!
This was my first time at J.Christopher my experience was Superior. The food was excellent with big portions. I want to give special thank you Steve the manager, he was very nice and gave superior service. Our waiter was Ahmad, he was very courteous and gave awesome service. .. We will be back..
Big shout out to Will, my server!! The place was really busy and he provided superior service. Also shout out to Steve for bringing out my plate with BIG ENERGY. 1st time here, came for a 10 mile race from Houston....pancakes and omelet were DELISH!
Had a wonderful experience here full of quality southern hospitality. At first Keertana greeted us with a smile and readiness. She was very pleasant and had a great attitude. It was a beautiful Saturday morning so it was packed but they weren't overwhelmed. We opted to sit outside where Kim took care of us. She was nothing short of hospitable and personable with us. She was patient and also very pleasant. The food came fairly quick. I order the sausage and eggs over biscuits smothered in gravy with a side of potatoes and an apple juice. The potatoes were not fresh and the biscuits were not fluffy which I did not appreciate but everything else was good, delicious actually. Overall great experience and one of the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen and smelled. Whenever I'm back in Atlanta I'm definitely coming here again and I recommend it to anyone. Thanks to Kim and Keertana I give them 4 stars. If it weren't for them it would have been an easy 3 stars. Great location too!
This place was really good. Always wanted to try it so finally had the chance.
I has the San Bernadino omelette, potatoes, English muffin and side of grits. Everything came out perfect. I would give this place 5 stars however it took over 10 minutes for the waiter to come by and didn't notice I was out of water (also had coffee) so had to ask for a refill.
I loved how they decorated the place with paintings all over. And various subjects too: athletes, Presidents, office settings and even a painting on Dogs!
Will definitely be back!
Nice breakfast/brunch place. It had plenty of seating. The food was very good and they had a good range of food including some healthy options. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because my food wasn't hot. They must of had it sitting waiting on the rest of my party's food.
