This place was perfect for me and my girl’s first dinner date since the corona virus started. They follow CDC regulations and the food and drinks were great and the presentation of the food was wonderful. This is our new spot. Definitely try the Sky martini!!!

Went to celebrate my wife's new job. Atmosphere was great. Very hip & trendy with great Asian deco & visuals, right in the heart of Midtown. Service was average. Wife ordered miso soup but they brought out our entreés before the soup so we naturally, we cancelled it. Sushi was very premium, most especially the scallop dynamite roll. Waiter did recommend a popular Saki & sushi roll that was good too. The "rock & roll" theme restaurant they so claim to be is more roll than rock. The "rock" menu was limited to noddles enters & a beef dish. Gonna check out the happy hour next time from 3p-7p.

Very good service overall. Delicious food. A little expensive but I expected that for a sushi restaurant. Decent drinks. Would visit again. Would recommend.

I used to love this place because of the extensive menu, "frou frou" maki and cocktails, decor, location, frequent deals, validated parking in covered garage... But over time, the blah service (often I knew about their promos when they didn't, etc.) wore me down to where I can't bring myself - let alone keep convincing my husband and others - to go there. A real shame - they would have incredibly loyal customers if only they made the service better. (Pay them better? Pay wages to attract better wait staff? Don't overwork them? Communicate better? Get a better hiring manager?) I don't know what the problem is, but it is definitely something. Yet the RA Sushi in Orlando gets rave reviews! Step it up, ATL!

Great Trendy Vibe. We loved the trendy vibe in the bar area -- great spot for happy hour. The sushi was a mixed bag. I had some tuna and salmon nigiri, the latter of average quality, and a chili ponzu yellowtail (the yellowtail had a not so good limey flavor resembling civiche). The Miso Hot soup was delicious and had a spicey broth that included four tasty shrimp. The food wasn't bad overall and it may have just been an off night for them -- will likely try it again.

Good sushi. The sushi here was super tasty, but the prices are a little too much for the small portion size. Great food presentation too. The restaurant has a super awesome nightlife feel to it as well.

Great, Great, Great!!!. Love Sushi, go to RA Sushi! They have exotic Sushi choices and the Lobster cream cheese Spring Roll will make you hummmmm!!! LOLOL!! Anywho, Its the perfect little spot to go and enjoy Sushi! Parking around it sucks, its best to Park in the parking lot near Loews and walk over. If you are a Wine enthusiast, their selections will make you sick....no Malbec, what! The Trinchero Cabernet is not a good choice. I still had a great time and look forward to going back again soon!

Ah, Midtown, I hardly know you anymore. There was a time when my life revolved around you, when I couldn't be away from you for more than a day lest I break out in a cold sweat. Oh, but how times have changed. This part of town now seems almost foreign to me with so many new restaurants, hotels, shops, crosswalks and office towers. Anyone remember when your only choices for food were The Country Place, Gorin's Diner, Trappers on the Park or Filibuster?

One of these shiny, brand-spanking-new restaurants is RA Sushi, which I had lunch at today. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the fact that the entire staff is drop-dead gorgeous. Every last one of 'em. Models and raw seafood--works for me!

The hostess seemed a tad scared of me, not sure what that was about. Anysakibomb, she took me to a table centrally located in this uber-large space, which feels very Vegas-like to me--like something that seems not only built for the night, but probably looks its best in the dark, too. Think Pamela Anderson. With its high ceilings, dramatic lighting, soaring windows--I bet it's a stunner after sunset. During the day, it just felt really big and cavernous. Again, think Pamela Anderson.

There's a bangin' patio, too, with a bar that works both sides--indoors and out--very hip, stylish and the perfect place for perfect people.

I started with some edamame which was OK; the texture was too soft for me. Thanks to my Italian mother, I prefer everything al dente, but that's a completely different story. The flavor was very good, though.

Next, I asked the server for her favorite roll on the menu to which she promptly replied in a whispery, Marilyn Monroe voice "The Vegas roll."

Natch.

It was not the right choice for me; it was a bit too heavy and large. Each piece looked like a small cupcake, literally. Way too big to eat in one bite, but without a fork, I was forced to do my best with chopsticks. I dropped it a couple of times, but I forged on. It was lobster and rice in a deep-fried roll topped with a huge dollop of crab and mayo. Whoa! I thought sushi was healthy! Regardless, it had great flavor and if I order it again, I'll just ask for good old-fashioned utensils.

The food came out super fast, too. I failed to mention I was with two other people and our main dishes were delivered at different times--almost 2-3 minutes between each. Now, I don't know about you, but it feels wrong to eat when others don't have their meals, too (another thing my mom taught me, I guess), so we all just sat there and stared at each other's plates until all three eventually arrived. I've never understood why restaurants do this, but maybe it's the nature of sushi cuisine: they expect you to sample off each other's plates, so what difference does it make when they come out?

I enjoyed RA Sushi. Don't get me wrong. I will definitely go back. This would be a great place for drinks and a bite before going out to a show or the club (The club? Who am I kidding? I haven't been to a club since the Backstreet Boys were actually boys). They had an extenstive menu with lots of other dishes that sounded really good, but I think I'll let them settle in to a groove first before returning. This will give me time to practice my runway walk, grow 7 inches, lose 127 pounds, visibly reduce fine lines and wrinkles and get my portfolio together. Viva Las Midtown!

Creative sushi in midtown. Went to Ra Sushi tonight for the happy hour deal: (1/2 price sushi, apps, and drinks 3pm-7pm mon-sat). I missed the time frame because there we a lot of people there and it was a Friday night. I had some pork gyoza, veggie tempura, and a shrimp tempura roll. The gyoza was very good, however I felt that the veggie tempura was soggy. The shrimp tempura roll was ok, but not the best that I have had. I did have a few pieces of my husband's crazy monkey roll. It was as great, it had salmon, cream cheese, avocado and cashew nuts on top. However, the yellow monkey just had too much going on ( mango, cream cheese, cashew and artichoke hearts. Not good combination.) I was surprised to see a lot of traditional Japanese dishes on the menu see that this restaurant is part of a chain. All and all the atmosphere was nice, and the food was ok, but there are a lot better sushi places in Atlanta.

RA Sushi Review. Located just down the street from Twisted Taco and Leopard Lounge, RA Sushi is a newcomer to the buegoning Atlanta restaurant scene, located next to Ri Ra Irish Pub. But RA has locations around the country. Newly opened RA Sushi invited me to come and sample their menu last month.

I headed out to RA on a Tuesday evening in July. Upon entering, I was amazed at how hopping RA was on a Tuesday evening. I absolutely adored the outside couches and tables, as they are perfect for lounging. I would have opted to sit out there had it not been for the looming threat of rain.

I was equally surprised by the beautiful people at RA. They seem to pride themselves on having gorgeous waitstaff. After my meal, Nicole, the manger, walked me around the restaurant. She also pointed out that all the pictures of women on the wall are not models, but servers at various RA restaurants around the country.

Starting off with a couple appetizers, I ordered the Calamari Tempura, Ra'ckin Shrimp and the Pork Gyoza. All were excellent choices. The Pork Gyoza, or pot stickers, had a great flavor and texture, while the Ra'ckin Shrimp, served with a ginger teriyaki dipping sauce was cooked perfectly with a light breading. But the biggest surprise of all was the calamari. I was expecting the rings like you pretty much get everywhere else, but these were thick pieces of calamari steak. It was dusted with a peppery powder and served with a soy dipping sauce. But it didn't need either of those - it was fully capable of standing on its own.

So far, I had my socks knocked off with the appetizers, so what could follow up such a great meal? All around me, I kept seeing the same type of roll being delivered to table after table. It had a thick orange sauce of top with a cracker-like object set atop it. After inquiring, I found out it is called the Viva Las Vegas roll and comes with tuna and crab with eel sauce, it is topped with a cream cheese mixture and spinach flakes. One of those were ordered along with the Tunacado - Tuna and Avocado, of course, served up with some ponzu dipping sauce.

The Tunacado was extremely fresh and the perfect mouthful was a bite of tuna, a bite of avocado and a dip in the ponzu sauce. Now the Viva Las Vegas roll was tasty too, although I still have yet to truly master the art of eating with chopsticks. These are pretty large and very difficult to eat in one bite. And, while I did think it was tasty, I also didn't taste much fish. I think many of the rolls are similar with lots of heavy sauces and tempura flakes. Something sushi purists may not go for.

After 3 appetizers and 2 meals, you would think we refused dessert, right? I really should have but I couldn't resist having the fried ice cream. This comes in four sticks with chocolate and raspberry sauce drizzles on top. It was delish, definitely a sharing dessert.

The bottom line is that RA Sushi is a gorgeous space with a hot staff and a killer patio. Is RA Sushi going to be the next great sushi destination in Atlanta? Not sure. Does it provide fresh, decent food in a pretty atmosphere? Absolutely. And I am looking forward to hanging on the patio of RA on a fall evening with my gang.

Extras: Half off select sushi appetizers from 3 to 7 Monday through Saturday. Beer, Wine and Cocktail specials all day Monday through Saturday $3-$4 each.
I had a couple mixed drinks during the meal but think the Chang (Thai) beer pairs better with the food than cocktails.

Ever looking to wind down after a rough day at the office? Wanna take a break from the kids and have a girl's or guy's night out with your closest buds? Well, I'd consider checking out Happy Hour at RA Sushi if you'd like to get your hands on some tasty Japanese cuisine, awesome service & playful atmosphere without breaking the bank. With a long list of various choices for both foods and drinks, you'll be wondering why you didn't come here sooner! Trust me, I'm pretty upset that I had never made it out here until today's visit-I'm no longer going to be missing out on these deals. And after doing some research, I learned that RA Sushi isn't just available in Atlanta, they have over 20 locations in the East, West and Midwest-seems like they're doing pretty well for themselves & for good reasons too! You're bound to have a great time with any meal you share (or don't share) here. Let's get started: ★RA Sushi's Exterior   ★Interior of the restaurant   ★HUGE sake barrels

Our friends stumbled upon this place when asking a department store clerk about any good places to go for sushi in Atlanta. He remarked that Ra, on Peachtree, had an excellent happy hour and so we headed there for our late afternoon snack.

Here for friend’s birthday, we read the reviews and expect service to be bad but our server Nicole nailed it, we were a party of 8 but she still got our food and drink correct. Everything come out super quick and very tasty! Will be back for sure! If you eat here ask for Nicole! She knows what she’s doing!

I went during happy hours and I had a great time. I was seated quickly no wait and I don’t have a reservation. The food was amazing!!!! The hostess was nice and so was my server. I sat inside but the outside area looked nice as well. The happy hour prices were actually great and not at all expensive for what I got! I highly recommend😋.

Saturday night knew there would be a wait. Grabbed a seat at the bar. It was an hour wait for a table. That wasn't the problem. We got our drinks and then after that we were invisible. After 35 minutes of waiting for them to take our order, a manager finally came to assist. We waited an additional 50 minutes for our meal to arrive with still no silverware, napkins or condiments. And... have of the order was missing. By the time we received silverware and napkins, the food was cold. As we were being served our meal after waiting over an hour, a couple was seated beside us and got their drinks immediately and food about 15 minutes later. 20 minutes after we shared the one plate of food we received, the rest of the food came. Overall, the food was good, but I would not recommend on a busy night.

Great choice! Dim lit with upbeat music. All of the food was delicious and you can't go wrong with any of their drinks either. Very personable staff, from the host amd server. They're open for full dining up until 1am and validate parking from the parking garage next door. Sitting at the outdoor/indoor bar during the warm months is a great vibe as well.

Enjoyed a dinner date night here. The dark setting goes well with the aesthetic and food. I believe I had the chili something roll. It was spicy 🥵 my friend had scallops. We both enjoyed our dishes. The server was nice and prompt. The drinks are okay. I tried the Japanese old fashioned and house margarita . The margarita was better. There are TVs and a bar there. Restrooms are clean. They validate parking if you park in the garage that’s connected to the building. Nice place.

Ratings are a funny thing...everyone complimented the food. The issue people seemed to have were with waiting for service... Being from NY, I can deal with just about any service imaginable. Jasmin A. my server, was super sweet and came right over, took my order and said the spicy chicken ramen was her favorite... the atmosphere is hip, and on a cold night, I was in the mood for some hot Ramen. Started off with some fresh mango and strawberry juice (mixed) Cool and very flavorful. Fried pork dumplings were crispy and on point. This Ramen was spicy and the chicken delicious. I asked for some extra hot sauce. My philosophy on hot ramen is you should be sweating by the bottom of the bowl, this did not disappoint. Had to finish with the mixed moshi ice cream to cool things down. The Mango and Raspberry were melt in your mouth good! Solid meal, nice service, ask for Jasmine A. She was amazing! Manager Jay is also a fantastic guy and came by to say hello.

We Enjoyed the Food Delicious, Our server was attentive but a little mix up on what was delivered to our table. We were in ATL but the Jazz Rap Fusion ahh a bit Over the top & dB too loud. Now the Rest Room, we got there 5 minutes after opening and it Smelt like a Bus Station, Urine pooled up in the corner. But my Family was happy so good visit.

The service during happy hour was great today. Jenora was attentive, was able to recommend choices I'd like and smiled the entire time. The lobster egg rolls, spice tuna rolls, edamame and fried shrimp tacos were well prepared. Oh the wings were delicious as well but deserves more sauce which I was able to get. Definitely going back soon. The ambiance makes for a great date night.

This place is just so great- from the food, to the staff, everything is top tier. I just moved from NYC so I’ve been looking for my “regular” restaurant, and Ra has become that place. Despite this being about my 10th time coming here, tonight was different because we had James as our waiter. Not saying, other servers weren’t amazing but James totally took things too the next level. So courteous, so attentive, so enjoyable - truly the cherry on top of our dining experience. Highly recommend ! I will be back. Thanks James!
